Hi from Sweden. Pike on flyrod IS a very unique experience. I enjoy these vids. Keep it up and i look forward to the big Mamas that roams those waters. Catch em! :)
Love the way you liase directly with the pike to hit your streamers just at right moment for the camera …must save you a lot of editing time 😂 another great video George …some lovely fish there …well done…hope Rua is doing well
George this is magic you have really hit on something and a big thumbs up to Tom for his net work . Blindfolding fish the keyboarders will have you for that one!!
Great video George very enjoyable what length is your leader George for pike fishing I would like to see you tyie a couple of fly for pike fishing they look to be a great job
Great video again sir you were like a big kid in a candy shop just shows you just don't need to fish for trout with fly all the time to have a great day 😀
Great video my friend, I see you tying a knot each time you tie a fly, I use the lure clips we use for bass lures this way you can change flies anytime without have to do a knot each time, get the mustad one is brilliant, been using for years and never had any issues
Hi George, what rod, reel and line are you using? A bendback fly is very good when very weedy, as you can tease it through weed without getting snagged.
Great stuff George , just a wee pointer on unhooking of pike , Slide your fingers underneath fish and into gills , then curl a fist back to your self . The fish s mouth automatically opens . This does no harm to fish and ensures a speedy release 👍🎣
Your covering a lot of water but fishing your fly to quick pike are ambush predators fish your flue a bit slower with pauses and fish the fly all the way in getting pike to strike a fly needs a veried retrieve with pauses and when you pause your fly that’s when you get a take as the pike attacks your fly
Great video as always. Might I suggest getting a stripping basket for around your waist. Then your fly line isn't getting knotted up or tangled in the weeds.
@@springerspanielful True they can be but if you had gotten a big pike when you had that knot in your line that might have been the reason to lose a big fish. I'm just saying cause I fish for Musky and Pike from a boat and have had my line get tangled up in my feet and lost a big fish.
Thank you George, for sharing so much fun.
Enjoy the learning curve bro
Tis mighty craic indeed..

Thanks, however I've been advised to avoid the gills in order to avoid any possible damage.
Well done George…man when they decide they want the fly they’re like a two year old attacking a chocolate cake 😅
That's the truth..

No, just learning..
Loved the craic. 🍀🙈

I'm actually in the process of making one, I think it's an imperative.
