I just got back into zombies after years of touching the game. By the time bo4 came out I felt that the game went too far in the wrong direction and stopped playing. One of the first maps I played on pc after coming back to the game was Der Riese declassified. At 2:02 I think you nailed it completely with your description of the map. When I first loaded in, hearing all the sound design and classic looks of the map, I couldn't help but smile and remember playing so long ago. It really is a faithful re-construction of the map. Though the lighting is a little off
when i saw the trailer for nightmare on youtube not knowing it was a custom map i thought it wass a ofical dlc and then one day i was looking at one of the creattors of a map i like i saw nightmare in there and was confused

I have been playing customs for the first time over the last couple of weeks and I cannot believe how in depth some of them are (Atonement, Leviathan and others), they’re genuinely like Treyarch maps
Great vid, I've played all these maps and definitely agree with the picks. You should checkout the Quality Of Life Zombies Mod 2.0. Its compatible with all custom and official zombies maps and adds in minor gameplay improvements from newer zombies games like max ammo refilling your mag too, stamin-up giving no fall damage, re-worked ray-gun damage, carpenter repairing shields, a zombie counter for the round, and lots of other tiny, non-intrusive improvements. it was at the top of the charts when it came out but has died down a bit and its a shame not many people know about it. Its still being actively added too as well, I can't play without it anymore haha.
@@nikkmann149 so when I load a mod after starting up the game, like a custom weapon pack for example, then I just go to a solo game on a custom map and it works? I thought it would unload the pack and load the map. Maybe I tried it w maps that aren't compatible
@@Boundyy well the reason lots of custom weapon mods dont work on maps is because they put too many weapons into the map, causing it to crash. The mod I listed above is made to be compatible with all maps because its adds very few weapons.
I'm so glad that I finally picked up this game on PC after playing custom zombies on WAW for years. I downloaded so many maps and I'm having a blast on every single one of them. Thanks so much!

It's back up at full price right now since there are no sales at the moment but give it some time hopefully if the steam summer sale comes sooner or later this month you should see this game drop down to the exact same price

I am a BO3 modded map noob as im just now installing with some friends. The honor mention scape looks sooooo damn fun. Can't wait to test these all out and relive the zombies days :)))))))))
I think area 51 deserves to be up here. A huge map with amazing graphics and the easter egg is amazing. Definitely should be at least in the honorable mentions and in my personal opinion, the top 5.

Okay. Europa is a good map. Leviathan is a masterpiece. They ain't on the same level. I think Logical would agree with that too. I'm also taking Leviathan over Kowloon but Kowloon is an easy 2nd. Gotta remember Leviathan links in with the story line too.

Can you make a list of top 10 best custom zombie easter eggs of all time? I've been trying to find maps with really good easter eggs that don't take super long and I haven't been able to find any good ones that I haven't already done.
Hey the quality video of the video looks really good, is that from you editing your videos or is that the from the pc and monitor? If so what monitor and pc do you have?
There needs to be a mod where the game tells you on screen what to do for the easter egg, or how to get the pack a punch. I want to try it, but too old to learn how to do all the easter egg stuff.
I didn't care for #4 tbh Laviathan could be so much better. It was a dogass thing to add a perk limit and make the game crash when loading a mod with the map. And excavators also ruin leviathan just like it absolutely ruins Moon. Europa is actually good. That's definitely #1 for me. Seppuku is dogass and unplayable even with godmode. Kowloon was better than #4 and both of #5, but wasn't anywhere as good as the Nuketown map or Europa

If you told me Kowloon was an unreleased Cold War map, I wouldn't believe you because it's not a secret science facility.
There should be a custom map where your in treyarch studio and you have to go back in time and stop bo4 from being made
