Hey Bevan, it is amazing and we are doing it regularly now as we are living on the mountain for the season. we have seen it dry and sunny and we have driven it when it is covered in snow and you definitely need chains. the differences with the road are incredible, sometimes at night you can't see 10 feet in front of you and can't see any of the guide posts, this can be very scary. Jeanette is very comfortable in her inside job and mine is pretty amazing too!!!!
@@LowRange4X4Adventures Thanks for reply, I've been talking to others about Ben Lomond, they said the snow season is hit and miss, so I looked at the Live Cam , So I know what it's like up there, What's your ski lift called, Cheers Bevan 🤠🇦🇺
@@Romeo-kp8tc Bevan the ski lift company is Ben Lomond Ski Lifts i am Mountain Operations manager and Jeanette is the Office Manager, check out the website site fior updates of what the present status is. there is also a Web Cam on there.
We were going to go up in June just after the first dump of snow but we didn't have chains and the sign said they were compulsory. So we went up Mount Barrow instead.
Hi Phillip, yeah at this time of yeah it is compulsory to carry snow chains from the lower car park even if they are not required to be fitted on the day, you can still come up here on the shuttle from the lower car park and have some fun in the snow so don't be afraid to come back and check it out and even come say hello at the Ben Lomond Ski Lifts ticket office.
