There’s been a lot of research into fish skin the last five-eight years. It has anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties and has been used to treat burn victims. They’re even trying to figure out how to implement it into skin graft techniques. Some wild stuff. Didn’t even know it was a thing until this show caused me to google the idea.
Yea Tilapia skin is the type used. Works amazing for burns and even serious burns it looks like nothing ever happened. You just end up with discoloration and not so much the scars.

Humans can go up to 60 days without food, all depending on your exertion. If you just sit on a rock, you burn VERY few calories. Once starvation mode kicks in, that reduces further. It's unlikely, but you can absolutely survive 20 days on no food as long as you have water. Wouldn't recommend it, but it's doable. Just don't work out

The kid actor who played Sanji along with Zeff bodied that role, love how well they adapted the flashback, and ngl to you but Arlong looks more menacing in the LA than the anime imo.

I recently realized that Zeff and Sanji's backstory is an allusion to Treasure Island. Long John Silver is the ship's cook and tells a story of how he cut off his leg and served it to his crew to keep them from starving after being shipwrecked.
Funnily, Oda didn't even come up with the extended backstory till the WCI arc came. This was all there was to Sanji originally, but Oda added more and it was great.

The actors for Zeff and Sanji have acted together before! Another reason why they have such great chemistry. This is not their first time working together and it shows! they absolutely nailed their roles.
I like how this they changed Luffy a bit in this. Regular Luffy would say “He’ll be fine, he’s strong” and not worry in the slightest but this one is actually really worried and is lowkey freaking out that Zoro might die
In the anime, Zoro was able to walk and move around right away after the battle, but they couldn't do that for the live action since it would be so unrealistic. So it makes sense that Luffy’s reaction would change too.
I honestly like Garp in the LA. Don't get me wrong I love him in the anime too, but I like how viewers (especially people new to OP) slowly start realizing that he's being hard on Luffy because he doesn't want him killed/to execute him himself like he had to for his friend Gold Roger

It's one of those manga/anime stuff that should be kept away from a live action. No actor can pull that off, because it is inherently untranslatable. In the manga during the scene, zoro's mouth is comically large so his exaggerated expression helps conveying the emotion but obviously you can't do this with real actors.

It's a product of the modern entitlement era we find ourselves in. It also doesn't help that they crack stupid jokes every 10 seconds, taking them out of the story and preventing them from feeling the full weight of the scene.
A person can survive 30 to 50 days without food until they become critically weak but will die in 43 to 70 days assuming they don't have water. Since they brought food with them onto the rock the length of time they survived is possible.
