    Yeah, so I have had mine for about a year now. I am 6 foot 5, so I wish the foot plates were wider and deeper, the machine is rather narrow so it is tough getting in and out of especially with the safety spotter and of course because of the rods. The handles that release the weight need to be longer at the top and bottom. I can definitely go below parallel, the machine is very sturdy, it can hold a lot of weight, it is smooth, it has a lot of adjustment options, I use it every week and still feels as good as when I first put it together. None of these negatives matter if you are less than 6 feet tall. But I still love it and actually have solved a lot of my issues by mainly doing front squats on it.

      Thanks for the detailed comment.
      If I had room in my current setup, I’d have this one instead of the compact leg press.
      Fun fact- the previous version had wheels so you could move it around. That blew my mind that a piece of equipment this big could be moved on wheels.

    I can't get full range of motion on the hack squat, that's y u left the peg in.

    Is this home-gym grade leg press? I'm asking because when the dude gets up talking about handle and how nice it is at 5:38 ish, it appears it bends a slight bit, making it feel less than sturdy as I expected for a solid pro gym equipment. I'm not trying to point flaws, but as someone interested, I noticed that as a potential issue as I too - at 6'8 height - feel it is a feature I often appreciate but not sure how much I could rely on it given what I just watched. On another entirely-separate note, what's the deal the height rated for this?

    I just got mine, and I am very impressed! Thank you so much for recommendations! The stopper is a bit high for me ( I am 5’2) , so I didn’t install it, and raising the bottom foot base also helped. I was not expecting how smooth it runs, and it only cost me and my husband 3 hours to put it together👍🏻

      That’s great to hear. If we had the space, we’d definitely have this piece of equipment.

      Hey Cici, so the stopper is removable then? I took a peak at the online manual and it's shown as a single piece with the crossmember that the seat attaches to. Seen so many complaints about range of motion issues due to the stopper... it's the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger on it. Thanks!

    • @cici0695

      @@Paintrain8765 If you want to remove the stoper, you need to cut the stoper off before you install it. As a leg press, it works amazing, as a squat machine you do need to work around it. Working out at different gyms, most machines are not designed perfect for everyone, and so we all learned to deal with it. After a few weeks of using this machine, I feel it fits me better and better.

    • @cici0695

      @@Paintrain8765 and if you are looking to mainly use it as a leg press machine, it works great, but if you are going to use it mainly as a squat machine, there may be better options out there. The handles are also a little too short for me when I using it for squats and leg press , so I tied some bands to them.

    Heavily considering a LPHS as my next addition to my garage gym. Narrowed down the Force USA and Bodycraft F660. Force USA has a few options that the F660 doesn’t (plate storage, springs, band pegs to name a few). Force USA is a few hundred bucks cheaper, uses rollers opposed to F660 which uses linear bearings. The only thing I’m struggling with is the footprint. 66 wide/94 long, F660 is 30/73. Any advice on comparing the 2?

      Funny, I was sooooo close to pulling the trigger on the bodycraft since it was available from a local store that sells all types of workout equipment. I ended up buying a Peloton instead. I realized that when leg day came, I wasn’t as energized as my upper body workouts earlier in the week and would end up skipping. As a former sprinter, my legs are not small, I just needed something to get them toned and into better shape. The space was a major deal with my overall decision.

The price went up to $2,299 but it’s finally back in stock so I pulled the trigger and bought one today… yes I used your link and saved money, greatly appreciated! Once I receive it and get it assembled I’ll decide what to do with the safety stopper. I’m 5’8” and my wife is 5’4” so hopefully we can put it all the way down and be able to squat deep. Thanks again for making the video it did help in our purchase decision.

    Took about 7 hours too put together. Directions were ok. Some spots were tricky and you really had to pay attention to the diagram as there and no written directions. Only two spots required the fiancé to come down and hold pieces while they were bolted into place. Looks like it’s a high quality machine. Rollers work smoothly. Just waiting on weight sets to restock!!

    Hi Stevie. Thank you for your videos, they are super useful! I've been saving for an all-in-one trainer and I have a question for you. I've been thinking about the G20 so as to "cry once" and never again, however, will the G20 give me a good leg workout by itself? I just had a thought. What if I was to get the G9 and the leg press hack squat combo? Those two end up somewhere being the same price as the G20 but I'll have a dedicated leg machine. What are your thoughts on that scenario? Space is not a problem for me. Is it overkill to get the G20 and the leg combo? That may be way too expensive. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you sir!

    • @StevieRichardsFitness
      @StevieRichardsFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Carlos,
      That’s a great question.
      Here are the major differences, besides price, between the G9 and G20.
      - G20 has 2 weight stacks Huel G9 is center plated loaded.
      -G20 has commercial attachments Versa Pad for hip thrusts and other movements.
      -G20 is designed for multiple people to be working out at once. The G9’s center loaded plates really only allow one person at a time to use the cable system.
      I assume since you want the leg press/hack squat combo that you already own some plates. If you do, then you can load up the G9 with those plates. However, you’re limited by the length of the plate holders where the G20 has large weight stacks. Just a thing to consider.
      If doing heavy leg workouts are part of your regimen, or even if not, the leg press/hack squat combo is a great piece of equipment. If I had the space, it would be a part of my gym no matter what all in one trainer I owned.
      Hope this helps to at least help you make a fully informed decision.

      @@StevieRichardsFitness Oh, that's right. I hadn't considered the weight limitation for a plate only all-in-one. Hmm. I do like the weight stacks. So it's better to go with the G20 then. I thought about the G12. I like the 1:1 ratio. The difference now between those two is $499. Is the G20 worth it for an extra $500 as opposed to the G12? Thanks!

    • @StevieRichardsFitness
      @StevieRichardsFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe the commercial attachments, Versa Pad, larger weight stacks and even the option for the lat pulldown upgrade make the G20 worth that extra $500.
      The G12 is still great, but the G20 is literally the definition of buy once, cry once.

      I agree.. BUT I was able to modify it and solve the problem with ease. Just cut the tube the stop slides into and then cut the stop itself. So I still have the rubber bumper there but it is much lower allowing me to squat bellow parallel without any interference. I will say with the new additional ROM I found my plates would hit the safety handles at the bottom of the squat. So to resolve that I just cut some 2.5in spacers out of 2in PVC and put them on the weight horns and that gives the plates enough clearance now. It is frustrating having to take a grinder to a brand new piece of equipment but for the price and overall quality of it...I am happy with the purchase.
