I absolutely love this one , I just bought a 2019 Honda Pioneer 500 white 207 miles with honda roof and glass windshield with a air vent . I want a bigger tires like 27 or 26”s I use it for work but tomorrow I’m going to Moab Utah. This thing is amazing. I could buy a used Polaris Rzr for about the same money but I want quality and reliability so I went for this

Have a 2021 Honda pioneer 500 and a 2017 Yamaha Rhino 700. The Yamaha is hands down a far better machine. We bought the Honda brand new thinking it was a better buy for the brand quality, but our experience is that Honda is trading on their previously good name with this machine. Whilst it's been semi reliable, it's had internal gearbox selection faults after only 60 hrs of easy use, CV boots splitting, hard to start, gear change is harsh and the ride is bad. We put on bigger tyres which does help a little with the rough ride. Next time will buy something else.

I agree that Yamaha is way better. For ATVs I only use yamaha for the abuse and roll overs it goes through. Yamaha does ride better too. so far I have not run into any issues with the Pioneer. Gets used everyday I would say has about 6,000 miles now. Only issue was the split boot like you mentioned and harder starts but overall it has been a great little machine. The biggest factor for us is that we can load it sideways on our trailers and in the bed of the truck.
