This game shows War and badass fighting scenarios with a good multiplayer mode (atleast had back them) but now it's just trying to copy Fortnite, Apex etc
See? And Fortnite does all of that. Their servers are good, not all of them are great, but they still try to make the game playable and enjoyable for everyone and listen to their players. Some things that were changed are hated very badly that they won’t change, but it’s basically a permanent change, so there’s no point. Even SBMM seems to be okay. I find people who around my skill level or a little better than me. But yeah, Fortnite fixes most bugs (especially the bigger ones), they listen to the community, they have a variety of different things to play on in the creative mode for anyone’s interests and different skins and styles that different people would love. Idk how else to explain it. Fortnite is just so fun. It’s definitely not how it used to be and I understand why people get upset, but I still have fun playing it everyday
2007-2012 was the best 5 year run in video game history & during the most iconic console generation. I’m 38, and I’ve been playing video games since SNES/Genesis days, and I’ve never had more fun than in those 5 years. I feel bad for the younger generations of gamers, because they’ll look back and be forced to remember now!
Newer generations still have great titles to play, red dead 2, the last of us, god of war you name it. I'm a young whippersnapper but my first gaming experiences were with the PS3 and a old game emulator, I played stuff like sonic 1 2 & knuckles. On the playstation I played skate, eome old call of duty games etc. I'm sorry to say but 2007-2012 was not the best era and to say it was is just plain wrong. Sure there are some bad apples we have but there's still so many good games.
They used warzone as an excuse to push MTX in their actual mainline 70 dollar titles. Cunts Probably isn’t the best example (probably is) but look at save the world from Fortnite. They literally let you buy skins with earnable gold that you otherwise would have to buy with real money in BR, I mean save the world literally has its own store with free earnable items 😂 If fortnite, the pioneer of battle passes, can add a store with earnable items, best believe cod can do it too, no excuse. @@wlgrd7052 this is the first comment i actually wanted to age poorly :) we finally making it back to the good old days and activision making a comeback from what has been showcased
They are just too lazy to actually innovate and come up with a half decent game mode. Mw3s spec ops could work as a good survival game if it was more balance as it was wave based and you had to manage your money. It fit the tone of holding off terrorist forces. The allure of zombies was that it came out and we had to wait a few years for a new zombies but at least the maps were creative enough to have good replay ability. Now it seems with every release it’s zombies… and then zombies next year and OH GUESS WHAT?!? ZOMBIES AGAIN NEXT YEAR. Activision does not understand that it gets stale eventually. If we keep getting zombies every year it will get to the point where another studio will take that game mode away from activision just like Fortnite did as WWII was so incredibly boring so many players left that year to Fortnite and didn’t come back. If they keep dropping the ball I don’t think it will kill cod cause it’s a multibillion dollar IP but another game WILL take its spotlight just like Fortnite did. Helldivers is also one of those games that if it did lock in it could take away the zombie players away from activision
@@deadppqqqq4822 the Spec Ops Survival Mode from the OG MW3 was amazing and so much fun. I remember playing it with one of my neighbourhood friends all day everyday on holiday break. That’s why I say it’s sad to see them incorporating zombies in the MW franchise when it was never meant to be. They could easily innovate that very same game mode from the OG like you said into the new MWs. It’s disappointing to see what games have become as a whole thanks to the event of the Fortnite WC. Which was the reason the quality of games has declined. Like you mentioned gaming companies as a whole have just become so lazy. Each year they’ve failed to create a decent quality game that would be entertaining. Instead all they’ve been focusing on is how can they gain more profit from the game. A quick money grab that people will keep falling for even tho the game is absolutely trash. In order to unlock certain items in the game you must spend more money on add-ons/DLC’s or even something as the likes of a battle pass which has been incorporated into the almost every single mf game!
I only use my free old school captain price skin and love it because Number 1: fits into the game and setting Number 2: it was free, its honestly a joke that characters from the campaign aren't free by leveling up or smth

Ya keep thinking it's Money, but Go Woke Go Broke can be seen everywhere and they apparently have endless shadow backers who encourage these dumbest of ideas. Again and again, They are fine with losing BILLIONS. Obviously because they think the end result will be them WINNING. Whatever system they want in place is (I guess) for them to know and us to find out. Cause one thing is for sure. You can whine all ya want, but we are all (to some degree) Slaves to the system. Activision claimed to have had a surge of WZ players. An obvious lie. On PC there are around 90K players online but what these fanboys and Activision bootlickers don't take into account is that CoD HQ isn't only WZ. The CoD HQ combines MWII MP, MWII Campaign (if you're not playing in offline mode), MWII Co-op, DMZ, MWIII MP, MWIII Campaign (if you're not playing in offline mode), MWZ and WZ to artificially inflate player numbers (specially most players play on PC nowadays) and it's pathetic.

It’s not Fortnite’s fault, fortnite did its own thing. Whether u hate fortnite or not it’s ur own game, nobody told cod to hop on that same train and do the same thing. Activision is responsible for killing all the aspects of what cod used to be

The CoD community can't seem to keep Fortnite out of their mouths despite the deep hatred they have for it. This isn't Fortnite's fault, but instead is Activision's.
yeah, fortnite is a free game, with 3x the content of most games, skins are getting a bit more expensive but i don't need to pay 70 dolars to enter the game, the battlepass has missions and sometimes good skins, while cod is full of dull and straight ass skins, so if cod is copying from fortnite they are doing a very bad fucking job tbh.

It wasn't fortnite or devs or Activision who ruined call of duty its the players imo if the players didn’t buy these macrotransactions Activision wouldn't push for battle pass or skin bundles
both activision's fault and the players' fault IMO. activision can charge a game for $70 and reuse nearly everything from its predecessor (MWIII & MWII) and put all of these macrotransactions in the game, not even paying attention to the campaign which is one of the main features of call of duty and make it stand out compared to everything else and then the players buy these macrotransactions because they think it "looks cool" or they're "going to get an advantage" when in reality they damn well aren't and are burning their wallets to Shitvision
people are completely missing this guys point, sure, fortnite didnt literally ruin cod, it didnt come to cods house and fuck its wife, but fortnite planted a seed in the gaming industry that set the new standard for making money, battlepasses and cosmetics, it has influenced almost every modern fps game to come out in recent times, it showed that people are stupid enough to pull out their wallet to play as a john wick in a goofy ass fps game. thats what fortnite did, and now none of us can escape it
The only reason I play DMZ solo, and away from other players is so I can do hostage missions and try and act like I am an ordinary soldier saving hostages, because call of duty is so crap now

I recently installed on PC after not playing any COD since early 2013 (og MW3 on PS3). I was shocked. First, I could barely navigate the menu to even play the game. It’s so cluttered with BS skins and packs they’re trying to sell, it gives me a headache. There was a bit of paid DLC back in the day, but it wasn’t invasive at all. I literally got a headache thinking “can’t just login and join a game? Where tf is that screen?” And you’re totally right about immersion. Having literal clowns on the battlefield totally breaks its best feature: a realistic warfare fantasy. Short term monetization with snoop dogg or whatever will long term eliminate this unique advantage of the franchise.
for whoever says bo6 has no hope, id think otherwise, $70 on bo6 well spent, actually having fun rather than playing a sweaty ahh game, would recommend
Dude, i get so confused with these ridiculous costumes that i can't distinguish friend from foe anymore. Right now, theres so many Mike Myers running around that i accidentally teamkill them on a jerk instinct.
They just need a filter that you can disable the ability to see these skins for the people that want the realisme. The skins will turn into the default soldier skin.
well, my friend I see your concern. I’m not a Dev or anything like that, but I might have a game for you. It’s not really a modern shooter. It’s more of a historical one. There’s a campaign and a multiplayer and to my knowledge they try to keep it as realistic as possible it’s called Enlisted it is one of the best games ever and yes, technically there is micro transactions but since they try to keep it historical, you won’t find Mickey Minaj running around or a guy in a duck costume someone you’ll find realistic troops and realistic battlegrounds, and finally for those who like the campaignthere is a campaign for historical events. I believe there is even one for Stalingrad, which nerds this will be very exciting.
I enjoyed playing the MW2 2022 Campaign a lot but I never bothered to play & download the MW3 2023 campaign because of how bad it was , BO6 I'm not so sure about because I care about the storage space I have on my Series S
Its mainly because they havent had any competition recently. Cod has been on top for 19 years. Everybody saying that xdefiant will kill cod... no it wont. We need an ACTUAL competitor to Cod PLEASE and the MAYBE cod will be good again.
Looking at what COD is now, I literally die of cringe and sadness because I remember when every player on both teams in multiplayer actually looked like soldiers and had a military aesthetic. Now, it looks like TikTokers took over the franchise and we now have TV show characters and celebrities running around in multiplayer. And people will say, “COD never was realistic.” Yes, the gameplay was not realistic, but the characters, tone, atmosphere, and environments were. It felt grounded and awesome. Now it’s repulsive and dumb. Warzone ruined this franchise and since its release COD caters to younger audiences and the Fortnite crowd. It’s sad and I miss how good these games used to be.
The last Call Of Duty I bought was MW2019. I enjoyed it. But things have gone downhill since. Unpopular opinions; Ghosts wasn’t that bad, and Infinite Warfare had a sick campaign
Bro found every reason to hate on Fortnite 🤦🏽♂️ I agree with this opinion but that doesn’t mean you should just publicly hate Fortnite for being Fortnite but it’s just your opinion I don’t have to agree with you and I don’t have to hate on you because of that. Great video though
Activision is putting too much pressure on the studios' shoulders by doing yearly releases. If they put more time into their games, like 3-4 years of development for each studios' game instead of releasing one yearly. (Example: 2024 is Black Ops 6, then Modern Warfare 4 would be 2027 or 2028.) This would make the games better and not a cash grab. Look at Battlefield, they put effort into each of their titles by getting the time they need to make something decent and enjoyable. (Battlefield 2042 being an exception) I think the only other way to keep annual releases is to either shut down Warzone or make a new series that isn't a call of Duty game. 19:25 I am an up-and-coming animator and I promise I will pop out a banger that prioritizes the player experience over my personal profits.
Couldn’t agree more! All these goofy ass skins ruins the ingame experience, cod have lost it’s identity along time ago. Could had so much potential by creating realistic/cooler skins to each operator. But they overdo it.. it’s how the gaming industry works, and it’s sickening. There no sense of personality anymore (call outs/ingame team soundtrack ect)

SBMM and EOMM protects kids so they can use Mommy's and daddy's credit card...

(Battlefield 2042 being an exception)
I think the only other way to keep annual releases is to either shut down Warzone or make a new series that isn't a call of Duty game.
Yup the franchise is so far gone
Cod ruined cod don't sit around and blame another games
Cod ruined cod
I joined the ARMY in 2007 and all 2008-2013 I played Online COD... It was uh magical time. LMFFFAAAOOO
Gaming was great in general….. until Fortnite was a thing, Fortnite got every other gaming companies to monetize TF outta their games
End of an era
Not really. There are still a lot of great games, single player and multiplayer.
I swear the difference with the operators in the campaign compared to multiplayer is crazy
Like literally we had price, gaz, soap, makorov,Nolan and ghost
But in the multiplayer it’s micki minaj, cheech and Chong, the annoying sweaty izzy operator, the ones with bunny ears and cat ears operator makes me so confuse of what game I’m playing and I can go on and on but these are the ones I can name
It’s like playing an entirely new game lol
@@lAMDEWANAnd at least the soldiers and characters you saw and played felt like real soldiers on the battlefield. Not like you were a solo yolo kinda person.
Doesn't even feel like cod anymore, how did we go from glorious games like mw2, bo2, waw, bo1, cod4, mw3, to shitty games like mw2019, mw2022, mm2023, and vanguard? How? We need developers that are actually gamers to take the drivers seat cause they can actually make games, they know what the players would like so they put it in the game, these new devs don't know shit nor do they know how to improve a video game
@@darklord1366exactly, in multiplayer your essentially at war, so of course your gonna play as a random grunt, but in cod nowadays? It's just operators and most of em don't even make any sense
@@tomokisakurai3997 Exactly!
To be fair, getting rid of map packs/map season passes to now releasing new maps for free has been one of the few things they got right
Got COD mobile ad before start of this video
LOL perfect
After cod ww2, fortnite took over
Pretty much cause that’s when blackout came
The first domino to fall in Call of Duty was Activision firing Vince Zampella and Jason West after MW2 (2009) released. Those were the creators of the franchise.
People think that because a game has players that means the game is alive but no, your game dies when it loses its original vision, passion and identity.
True
Yup we can all agree glory days of cod are way behind us. They are catering to a tiktok minded generation.
I didn't get this cod got it on game pass didn't purchase a single dlc.
Plus Bo6 is coming on game pass too.
I think it's great I can just cancel my sub whenever I don't wanna play their game or any other game.
That’s exactly the problem is they’re catering to tiktok brain. Glory days are certainly behind us.
Just a reminder activition
*Call fo duty is a game for seriouse and veterans player/soldiers not kids and cowards*
*Mic drop*
FACTUAL 🎤
Bro it’s just a game, chill out
@@datboiijuanhtx i know just wanna say that
A lot of grammar issues i see (but there aint nothin wrong with that), but its the same as seeing a fetus in gta online, it may be not for kids, but kids still play it (especially warzone cause it fucking sucks, i land at the lowest point possible and some mf named something like "got ya boi" with 320 level kills me from a rooftop with a golden machine gun)
