Had one for a week as a rental. Really impressed with it and did a 100 mile loop test on the highway to see what mileage it was capable of....41mpg! Really like this car.
Just bought the 2019 A5 Sportback and absolutely love it. Bought the black optic package which really spruces up the exterior and gives you 19" wheels. Couldn't be happier and btw, I love the dynamic driving mode!
@Anthony Z I can't compare since I didn't drive the S5 but I feel the A5 has plenty of power for me. BTW, we have speed limits so who needs all that power.

Great video, I just bought one second hand. I couldn’t believe how quick it is for a 4 cylinder and I had a 435i for my last car. It’s just gorgeous to look at and I always look back when I walk away from it.

Great review! I have one, but as I’m in a mid life crisis it’s the cabriolet. I sometimes call it Suzi Quattro. I keep it in comfort, as I am comfortable, smooth and quiet in the extreme. I love it!

thinking about one for my wife, but she wonders how it is to run in heels (about 10 cm). She uses it in the job and does not want to change shoes every time she drives. Today she runs a Mercedes automatic transmission and it is very easy to drive in heels.
I have a'19 A4 S line with black optics and B&O. I am in agreeance with the B&O sound, I thought the basic Audi Concert in my B5.5 allroad was better. I might have liked the Sportback better than A4 but it's what I found so I'll live.
Great review! I found the A5 to be a very well balanced vehicle, I bought my wife a new 2013 A5 S-Line Cabriolet as an Xmas/Birthday gift and she absolutely loved it! Unfortunately the testosterone got the better of me and it was traded for an 2015 RS5 Cabriolet (w black optics pkg), totally different! She wasn’t as much of a fan (I love it), she drives my 2018 SQ5 which she loves much more, I have a Tacoma as a daily and the RS5 comes out in nice weather, it’s a blast to drive hard. My wife found the leap from 219 hp to 450 hp a bit intimidating, the handling feels way different with twice the engine weight up front, not that it’s bad, just way different. 😕

Shopdap posts some brilliant videos. The faux wheel drive video was an absolute classic. Your choice of scenery was perfect. If you could do more montages of the beautiful landscape it'd be ideal.
I like the beans score and all but you might want to add categories for said beans....I hate to suggest Doug's scoring because it can be a little hard to follow but maybe you could have a fun chili bean count for performance and a Lima bean score for daily use. great review though - thanks
Think... THINK... Your TT has permanently on quattro where as the A5 Sportback only has quattro on demand unless you go for the S/RS model where you get the full quattro system... Loved the review Fresh Technical but not nerdie and Engaging loved it!

I really like the little extras at the end. I completely agree on most wood trim. The over polished, high gloss lacquered wood veneers that most manufacturers use to add a little class inside, looks out of place and almost fake on most cars short of Bentley(best wood in the business) The more natural finish Audi used on this looks good, just hope it keeps looking good in 5-10 years. I wonder if it's real?
530mile range on my VAG Car when filling tank up, holds 50litres/11gals its a Seat leon 2.0lt 184hp TDI (A Golf Mk7 GTD restyled) Ave MPG around 53 longterm.... & its no slouch Engine Torque - LB·FT280lb·ft Engine Torque - NM380Nm there ya go... the tdi is nice, but it's boring, it's not suiting a 50000$ car, with that tractor rattle. also, when you have 50k$ to spend on a car, you don't really look at the mpg.

Just for your info: S-Line is only the interior/exterior line. Separate from that is the S5, a 6 Cyl. quite sporty car under RS5 you mentioned.

Ok STILL don't understand the Bean Scale. Is 1 bean good, is 5 beans good? That A5 is pretty sweet and you really liked it, but only 2 beans...?
