Wonderful insight & advice David! Well said!! Your philosophy on being surrounded by, as well as, photographing & filming the beauty & peace of Nature is so very true! The deep emotional connection that you feel in your heart is so clearly expressed in every Video that you share! Due to this, we are then also so blessed to share that with you! Thank you for sharing your heart & deep thoughts on this. Blessings to you David!

David, thank you for putting this message out there, for it is a valuable one. I agree with every word and this approach to photography has informed my work from the very start of my journey. With its upsurge in popularity, landscape photography has become a competitive sport, devoid of emotion or personal expression. Over the years, I have spent time with many of the UK's top TH-cam landscape photographers and few (if any) of them have exhibited any real passion or knowledge for their subject matter, let alone their emotional response to it. For far too many photographers, their enjoyment of the outdoors hinges on the successful acquisition of pleasing images and they can find themselves, after spending time in wonderful, healing places, going home disappointed. Being in nature should never be a disappointing experience if one sees its true value, which amounts to much more than merely something to point a camera at. I'd love to see the similar way in which we approach our photography become normalised, rather than an eccentric, outlying viewpoint. We need to spend less time thinking about gear and images, and more time thinking about our subject matter, how we relate to it and it makes us feel.
