    Taking your BP readings at home is a great thing to do. My BP is always higher in office, but I get anxiety in the doctor's office. I track mine and take photos of it at each reading. That can keep you from being pushed into an induction too early.

    I’m sure a lot of people probably answered your questions, but-
    It’s safe to put their clothes in the dryer. I’m still using baby detergent from my shower at 10 months, but when we run out we will switch to regular. The bags are a savior in the wash/dry so you don’t have to dig for teeny tiny socks. Also, you were talking about your nighttime routine with baby. I’m SURE you already know, but on the off chance- we were told to bathe baby once a week because the soap can strip baby of oils that they need. You can still do it every night just to get a routine but maybe just rag and water other than the once a week. I also used her soap and laundry detergent on me for the first several months, my girl had the most sensitive skin. She even broke out if she got my moisturizer on her face.

    Check the labels in the clothes about drying them but when I put my sons sleep suites in the dryer they shrunk so bad lol so I had to air dry them. I can’t wait to see the rest of your pregnancy journey, you look so happy and you deserve it, baby girl will be here before you know it and I can’t wait to see who she looks like 💖💖💖 xxx

    I recommend the washing bags for sure because once a sock got stuck in a pipe in my washer and it was bad. They’re so tiny they can some how get out of the drum and break your washer. We didn’t know what was wrong, took it apart and it was a newborn sock.

    Hi Paige! Im due with my baby girl (baby #2 and daughter #2) November 7th and it is completely okay to dry baby clothes and yes the bags are a MUST! not just so you don't lose things but so that they don't get plugged in your drain pipe in your washer and cause it not to spin out 🤦

    When I was pregnant… Cocoa butter was recommended to help with stretch marks and unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to cocoa butter and got bumps all over my stomach… But I really honestly don’t think it helped with stretch marks. I think some people are just more prone to get them than others and I do know that drinking a lot of water will help them not be so bad...but it’s part of life. Scars of your greatest achievement.

    For stretch marks, I also used mud/cream masks that were hydrating. Left them on for 20 mins and washed off. Helped a LOT.
    I’ve also heard bio-oil also helps a LOT.
    Edit: if you plan on breastfeeding/pumping and you have a mini skincare fridge, you can plug it in on your nightstand and put any pumped breast milk in there throughout the night.

    Lol pretty much every baby I’ve known from friends and family, including both of mine, all wore twice their age in sizing beginning at 6 months (some) and 9 months (most). When you were showing the outfits, I’m here thinking hopefully it won’t be too cool up in Jax around August so she can wear that one outfit (if she follows the trend of chunky monkeys too). That gauze material will be perfect for life in FL. I live in Jupiter and had my youngest baby here 12 years ago (Aug 2nd). He still to this day refuses to wear pants unless visiting family during winter in ATL, Alaska, or Wisconsin. Congrats lil momma and daddy. And yes, the hospital with teach you so much, especially being first time parents. They also send you hope with every you could possibly need for both you and baby girl. Lastly, yes, you can dry baby/kids clothes, which is amazing considering how many outfits and burp clothes newborns go through in a day. I also recommend getting mesh laundry bags to put those tiny little socks in or else you will have a huge collection of socks missing their better halves.

  • @lindsaydiecidue

    I dry everything other than nicer dresses, and then until she was like 2 years old i washed smaller things like her socks and baby wash cloths, in laundry bags !

    Yeah, they only test early for gestational diabetes if your BMI is over a certain limit which is stupid. The limit is 35 and I was literally at 36.1 so I had to do it too. It was dumb

    My husband and I are both Irish/Italian mostly and my hubby looks more Italian and I look more Irish both brunettes. His hair is almost black it’s so dark. I kid you not they hand me my daughter in the hospital and the first thing I say in shock “what color is her hair??” she’s literally a bright red head! She’s only gotten redder as she’s grown, 2now. So you never know what you’ll get lol.

    Just wanted to add, I have 2 kids, each from a different ex-husband. I have dark, dark, dark brown hair (practically black) and both exes had blond, blond hair til middle school before turning light brown. I assumed my kids would naturally have my hair. Nope! My 17 y/o daughter had no hair until she was like 18 months, and then it was light brown. She is the spitting image of her father. It’s freaky seeing even her mannerisms and character traits are all him, which is kinda nerve wracking after being in a relationship and marriage with him for 8 years. It’s like I still live with him lol. My 12 y/o son was born with light brown hair and still has that same color. He is more of a mix of me and my ex, but I’ve been noticing a lot of his dad’s mannerisms and traits coming out more and more these last few years, which also leaves me feeling like I live with both my ex-husbands. Ugh. So you still have hope for a blonde baby girl, but I know even if she is her daddy’s clone, you’ll be happy just the same.

    I thought I dodged stretch marks and then got them after my daughter was born 🥴
    All worth it in the end, but pregnancy is weird for sure.
    ETA its funny hearing you talk about the snot sucker 😂 believe it or not though, even with all the poop and snot and throw up, nothing yournown baby does will seem gross to you, its so bizarre. I have the weakest stomach ever and my daughter once HANDED me poop that was actually still warm, i literally barely flinched 😂

    When it comes to laundry detergent and shampoo and body wash or body lotion for a newborn baby on up to 1 years or more than 1 years old you shouldn't have anything that is scented because they might break out and have allergic reaction. The hospital and my kids doctor recommended that I use a Free and clear laundry detergent and for a body wash shampoo and body lotion they said always get a non scented one because they will be able to break out in allergic reaction because their skin is so sensitive that they will be able to break out an allergic reaction to anything if it's scented.

  • @lanaatkins3872
    @lanaatkins3872 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm going to be the one here with the unpopular opinion (my own truth) but you're not going to be able to control a lot of the stretch marks if they are going to happen - I did not have any sign except a few marks on the underside of my belly, fast forward until now... I was SHOCKED and horrified by what I saw after I healed when she was born. Mind you, I had a c-section which I am not sure how that affected everything and frankly I stopped caring. I used bio-oil and palmers three step stretch mark care. I have come to the conclusion that instead of wasting money on those types of products, and focusing on something that really doesn't matter, I was going to focus on treating myself good with my diet, exercise and positive self love because my daughter needs a mentally and physically healthy mother, not a stretch mark free person.

    • @PaigeKoren
      @PaigeKoren  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely agree with you!💕 it was definitely a shock to me to see such a change in my body. Especially because it felt like they popped up out of nowhere! I am not looking to prevent stretch marks necessarily but I do want to keep my skin hydrated & moisturized just for the sake of comfort! I know stretching skin can get really dry & itchy so that I do want to avoid if possible! We need more positivity & self love out there! Especially with us being potential role models for the kids out there!💕

    Paige honey- I really don't wanna be the one to tell you this, but.... our beautiful, precious little girls that (US) mothers carry, nurture, form a whole human inside of us, deal with pregnancy hormones, and more often than not, a difficult labor and delivery.... only to give birth to the mini girl version of your HUSBAND!! LOL. Girls usually look just like their daddy🤯
