Looking at saturn in a positivish way haha, on an off topic note maybe you could look into the Ophiucus sign (13th sign) that no one really talks about and do a vid on it
That would be an interesting video topic! Ophiucus comes up every once in a while, and I’m kind of curious as to why it’s stuck around so consistently. I have not personally validated it as an additional sign in the past, because the concept of duality and all of the axises having two opposing but balanced signs is crucial to my understanding of the zodiac. But I would also never want to take away a tool that someone might find useful for understanding themselves. I’ll research the topic more thoroughly, so thank you for the suggestion.
@YourGeminiFriend well I'm just supposing the real calendar is supposed to be 13 months just like the moons cycles therefor there could may might be some real merit to a 13th sign, of course I'm bringing it up as I would fall some what in the middle of it, also the opposing wouldn't be bang on but still more or less?
Thank you again for your video. I have Saturn and Capricorn conjunct my midheaven so it’s pretty strong. it shares Jupiter in the same house and sign. I don’t think of myself as being strong and discipline or particularly ambitious. For me a job is just a job and that makes money. My ambitions are hard for other people to recognize because they’re just for me. During Times of Saturn returns I have felt like Saturn was a liberator and brought me new circumstances that stayed in my life for the next several decades-Big changes that were really great.
I’m really glad it’s felt like that for you. I understand what you mean about your ambitions as well, with them being more private and not necessarily seen by others. That’s a uniquely frustrating feeling, but that’s even more reason to validate yourself. You’re very welcome!
I have both Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius in my 2nd house. I feel like I'm swinging between discipline and rebellion in my values, beliefs and finances. Bouncing back and forth between my desire to be in control and have money available but also be free, unrestrained and spend or think as I want. Like being at war within myself and my contradictory desires. Trying to find the middle ground between both parts of me.
I can see that combination as being especially confusing! Especially in the 2nd house, where basic safety can feel so threatened. I do think both are relevant, and that freedom is intrinsically linked to security, as well as the fact that your uniqueness is something incredibly valuable about you. Uranus in the 2nd can represent personal values that can differ from what’s normal, but because they’re meant to. Saturn could judge these nonconformist values as untraditional though, so I’d focus on what feels true to you rather than what might seem like the technically correct path… but then Saturn can serve to add realism to what might otherwise be too idealistic. Middle ground is definitely achievable.
Lovely video, I'm wrapping my 12th house Saturn return in Aquarius (sidereal) and yes I agree, Saturn as an independent energy isn't the issue. Saturn fits into the framework of this plane of existence and I much prefer Saturn over Chiron through life experience. Saturn may have forced me into isolation but Saturn supported my work, getting stable in material, boundaries, masculine energy (due to no father figure) and really understanding the power of saying no as well as astrological studies and a lot of my 8th house stellium matters to tend to. When educated on our charts, yes we benefit greatly. We essentially see the program which we've chosen to live out right in front of us. However, I can't help but feel the novelty of duality has become burdensome for people who remain stuck in this realm. That's where the issue begins with Saturn. Who and what exactly are imposing these "lessons" on people keeping them reincarnating? Because listening to NDEs and regressions it seems there are beings who embody Saturnian energy guised as councils, ascended masters or elders trying to keep people here in this playground. Even astral projection stories point to the same thing, there's something we don't truly know about Saturn and what goes on there. There's that hexagonal signature of structure and control that goes beyond this layer of this realm as well as concept of authority. Should authority be a policy for ensuring action and consequence and not overriding someone who tries to enact their free will with yet another mindwipe and forced incarnation. We must look what's beyond the cycles, what's beyond the golden and dark ages and what's beyond existence in this universe. That's how someone truly "breaks free". I for one will bring as much structure and order as I do emotions (Mars in Cancer) back into the spiritual field I'm destined to work in. I'm glad Saturn slapped me out of these dogmatic new age beliefs and made me see within myself the bigger picture. Quite frankly I'm appalled by these charlatans parading online. It's funny seeing 19 year olds as selling themselves as financial gurus, life coaches, market makers and hustlers. The spiritual equivalent of Get Rich Quick schemes are now guised as "Claim your quantum abundance". It's sad claiming to know spirituality/shadow work by taking a three week course and using NLP as some universal antidote to change ones life. When to say become a Jungian psychotherapist takes 8 years with considerable investment of time, money and energy as well as allow yourself to be looked at and scrutinized by another therapist who's done the hard yards. Saturn will hit them in the face somehow, someway.
I know what you mean, because this is a fascinating mystery for me as well. I know there is a lot more depth and what can look to be very dark and controlling forces in the shadows regarding Saturn. I might have an extremely optimistic approach to these things despite being aware of how trapped and controlled it seems like we might be here, but I do believe ultimately that this planet and these human incarnations are not it for us, and that the structure is not forever. The way I see it, the Saturn structure is a part of the way things work here, and something we have to figure out our own relationship with. It doesn’t seem to work for me to give much acknowledgement to external forces as having any sort of ulterior motive, other than what you’re talking about with “breaking free” as recognizing what’s beyond this human existence. That doesn’t mean that I don’t believe it’s the truth, but more that I can’t seem to figure out where it fits in my version of reality. I was exploring a lot in preparation for talking about Saturn, but none of it seemed to come out when it was time to talk about it. My focus here ended up being purely astrological, but I do agree with you that there’s a lot more underneath the surface. I see the association between oppressive religion and Saturn symbology as something that I would love to understand deeper, but am also totally unsure of what sort of impact I can even have there. Ultimately, I feel so often very disconnected from the human experience itself, so I have a hard time thinking of it as more than just a temporary place my consciousness is right now, which is not always helpful. But I’m also glad that you’ve brought the discussion here, because I was unsure of where to start with it. I love hearing about NDEs as well because it seems to open things up so much more than I can even comprehend, with how completely different (even contradictory) the experiences of people are. Sometimes I feel like even just sharing my perspective could be limiting, because of just how unlimited things can seem. Saturn for me has actually been a huge lesson in recognizing that my input can be valuable even if it’s not the truth for every person.
One more sentence and I’d pull out a wedding ring, you impress me with your mind (that’s my Gemini moon speaking). You’re absolutely right. What you’ve stated in the video and in the comment above is absolutely right. People in their current state require the basic astrological fundamentals for their life here as most can’t and won’t assimilate levels of consciousness beyond mental comprehension. That’s how people can lost in the rabbitholes trying to assimilate something beyond their humanity. If this insight is shown or revealed to you, it’s with good reason. Doesn’t make any other perspective or understanding more or less. Spirit isn’t hierarchal whatsoever. What you’re also teaching is the truth. Saturns role here is more than apparent and justifiable. Even the ancients connected with it as they depicted its rings and hexagon cube long before the telescope. There’s definitely a lot we don’t know and yet to uncover. Do you have an email or instagram or something? Heck, I’d even be your penpal lol. I’d like to reach out and chat some more given if you’ve got the time.
@the8thhousejosh Thank you, what you’ve said really validates what I’m doing here and helps me understand why the messages I get come through in the way they do. I really appreciate your insight! And to be entirely honest, I did have an email available for a while, but I become overwhelmed with communication very quickly. It’s a part of my Saturn in Pisces in the 11th, actually, haha, so even this is like a lesson for me. I have to let more personal connections and friendships build very slowly and naturally, constantly aware of my energetic boundaries, even as a Gemini (or because of my Gemini, because I can drain my own brain without realizing it.) So while I am totally open to all sorts of discussions here, I’ve had to learn not to make myself too accessible for my comfort🙈 That said, your perspective seems to align with the way I see things, so I’d love to continue seeing your thoughts here!
I’m very glad to hear you’re setting those boundaries for yourself. Even before social media blew up notifications would also tilt me too. The hyper stimulation is real and yes, we can even be our own hyper stimulation. My favorite Gemini moon pastime is compartmentalization of my personality and arguing from point A and point B with myself 🤭 So I can definitely understand that to a degree. Plus, another Saturnian trait of this world seems to fit well with agriculture. The cycles of growth and harvesting. Things seem to be out of balance here as there’s a lot of things growing unnaturally and often quickly then there’s so many things, people, entities etc trying to harvest from us 24/7. Quality ways takes time 🤭
@the8thhousejosh That is such a massively relevant point with agriculture. Especially with Capricorn season being at the end of the year and representing what we’ve worked for and harvested… Quantity over quality is so destructive for our health. And then the instant gratification element of food, taking quality and modification into account… it’s so much. It definitely does seem sinister. I’ve never quite been able to figure out what I feel is behind it all, other than just straight up greed. And the Gemini compartmentalization of personality haha. Yes. I argue with myself and even just talk to myself as different people on a daily basis.
As someone with natal Saturn conjunct Sun, Mars, and Mercury, I hate my fearful, inhibited personality. Saturn transiting my 8th house. I burnt through my savings and became so sick that I feel like I'm dying. There's nothing good about Saturn. It is purely malefic.
I respect your perspective and appreciate you sharing this, and I very much wish you the best. Such Saturn prominence in a chart is in no way easy to handle.
Right🙈 My best understanding of it is through the example of overindulging for days and days and that feeling of getting stuck and feeling worse and burying yourself deeper in what’s not actually good for you, just because it feels like an instant fix. It’s a hard thing to get out of, but that contrast can make discipline, or even just moderation, more appealing. It’s tough, but that’s why it’s rewarding. I guess we need moderation even in what’s fun, or we could easily get lost focusing only on what feels good in the moment, robbing ourselves of the growth we deserve.
Honey….you’re going places🤍 This is excellent.
Thank you so much for saying so!
