Watching this again as I just can't help it. I live a long way from a corps now but go to sleep every night listening to the ISS cd's, Gowans Legacy. Do you realise that right through John Gowans songs is the idea of God's love for us, no matter how far away we go from Him He loves us and will welcome us back. We were all blessed to have had this talent in The Salvation Army and God brought them together for a purpose, to bring people to Christ. Oh that we could see their like again and have a spiritual revival.

What an everlasting great music produced by the two retired Generals, many of which have been translated into Bahasa Indonesia and won many souls for the Kingdom of God.
"Take Over Bid" brings back memories! Way back in 1966 I met the two Johns at Ealing Corps ( I'd been staying the Standings, Corps officers at the time, as a friend of their son Michael). They commented on a new musical they were writing and gave us a sample - "Hundred's and Thousands" and "Someone Cares". A year later I was on stage performing it in the East Midlands Division. One downbeat moment - I pranged dad's car on the way to rehearsal in Northampton!
We were there that afternoon - have often talked about the afternoon with Gowans and Larsson and finding this relatively recently uploaded video has been great. The music and the message as inspirational as always.
Am a Salvationist living in New Zealsnd...not a good sleeper...often manage to drift off into sleep..beautiful songs...was in Glory musical in 1983...time flies...now 2021...God bless the Army
Blessings ...I have an idea..you can ask God if there is a chance..to make an special concert..inviting other famous artists for a purpose to comfort people homeless children and families ...it can be with gospel and others who really have heart for people..you can invite food and some present ..while others pray and talk..to them...God can guide ...you i feel that God desires that...bless

I worked for SP&S in 1980 in Accounts. It was in Judd St. Kings Cross. It has moved to Kettering now I believe.
