@@bgoth1435 we bought a -79 T2 late bay from the UK last fall and we love it! That one had indeed been kept in a garage and had gone through a complete restoration at one point ;) we saw one that had been kept under a "breathing" tarp, that one was rotten from roof to bottom.

We owned a few VW vans when I was a kid, had a split screen but sold it before they were rare and desireable, it was in good nick with the 2 litre engine and sold for £500 :-(

I have done things like that with my T2 Transporter back in the 90th. when i was young. It didnt hurt the VW at all. It is well build and i still own the car and keep it forever. Nice footage. :-)

A friend of mine had one of these years ago with full mitsubishi shogun 4x4 running gear. It would go anywhere. Dunno how difficult it was to fit it as he brought the van already converted.
