I have been amazed over and over for years what Cesar is able to accomplish. I know there are a lot of dog lovers in the world, but for him to be able to help these dogs and families is truly a gift. Cesar is a man with a big heart, and just about a genius in what he has made his life's work. I believe the dogs sometimes simply cannot comply with what the humans want them to do. They aren't humans, they don't speak English. It seems to work if the humans can understand what the dog needs so they can be the best pet. There always seems to be a lot of love in the cases Cesar steps in. I'm always so happy to see Cesar bring things together the way he does, so the dogs are happier as well as the families. It's so important to have the positive energy. Clearly the dogs know the difference and it seems to be the key. As always Cesar, well done.
Love Cesar and all he does for dogs and owners. I will never watch the dog whisperer after what they did to him. I have learned so much watching him and my pack of 3 attract people because how well behaved they are.
I had a PTSD service dog and it was so awesome. But I taught kids how to be gentle with him and give him commands. It was so cute to see a little 2 year old ask him to sit and he would. Then they pet him. Kona is a Service Dog, Not a therapy dog. A therapy dog is for other people, like take them to a nursing home, etc. Please do not use the terms incorrectly.
Cesar you’re the best 🙏🏾🙏🏾🫶🏿thank you for your help 👌🏽the little boy needs firm boundaries too, I would not like to be pulled around as a human but I speak. Animals can’t and can only show this the way they know how. The dog moves away from him gently several times. Not a service dog and I'm glad you changed the language. A service dog is thoroughly vetted and trained professionally, not by the dog's owner. In particular, a PTSD dog must be trained in a way that doesn't promote the symptoms of PTSD (hypervigilance as one of those symptoms). I'm glad these folks got help w/their dog and child and can now reap the rewards of having a great dog. And, no....Levi should never "know" he's the boss....the parents are. Be a great pack leader!

Dogs are such reliable friends, paying truly, meticulous & infallible attention to owners/family members. That's fine. Nonetheless, such a highly sensitive ability turns into problematic, although a fundamental cause is in the mindset of us, humans! Millan looks like a dishevelled M Poirot!
I think some parents do not give children boundaries. They can’t just do what they want. Many parents are not paying attention because both are working. They are tired! I stayed home and made pottery and sold to shops. The woman chastised me for not going out to work.I didn’t care what they thought. Like lemmings! After the boys went to university I changed to paintings. And sold my art to a gallery. 😂
Cesar, I know off point but, Turkish animal activists are fighting against plans for ‘ending’ all strays, specially in Istanbul, which has been denounced as a political measure for strays in Turkey has always been well managed. Any platforms that you think might help?
The child needs clear rules for interacting with the dog - no pulling, grabbing etc. Also: the crate/ dog bed etc. is a safe place where nobody should be except the dog (and nobody should approach the dog). It seems like it's the dog's fault, which is absolutely not true (Kona is not a 'problem dog'). Please adress these issues above more clearly. I think many people don't understand the importance of that when they see this video.
Hi Millan. I am from Pakistan and live in Islamabad. I love the way you handle and train dogs and their families. I have a gsd 1 year and 3 months old, triple coat and Polish breed. His name is xander. He is playful but moody. Well he is my baby. He is very aggressive around our guests and even on walks. Our life style involves lots of public gathering. Unfortunately we do not have proper dog trainers here. I have fired a few who tried to use physical punishment. He is growing fast and needs to be trained to be around others!! Can you help?? How can I contact you?Regards. Erum.
The dog wasn't the problem. Parents who don't guide their child or give proper boundaries for life, that was the problem. The kid was allowed to do anything he wanted. Putting the dog aside, kids need boundaries or they never know how to live in the world. What is ok, what isn't, what's dangerous, etc. The culture of parents just letting kids be kids isn't doing them any favors. They become adults who don't know how to be in society, which isn't good for them or anyone else. Kids push boundaries, if you don't stop them they just push further and further. They need boundaries, not only for their behavior in the world but also so they feel safe. Kids are not the boss any more than a dog should be the boss. Of course they're different, but both need stability.
If this is a service dog, it is not necessarily a family dog. It might but it has other skills for a different environment and to deal with one person.
Child isn't cuddling, he is laying on top of, pulling ears etc with no restriction. Once he is restricted, and the dog trusts him not to hurt him, and not get inside his timeout space, I'm sure they will be able to lay side by side. The parents didn't limit the child's harming the dog, so the dog reacts.
From what I have gathered, from what Ceasar teaches, its because YOU are anxious. You are expecting it. Dog senses that and jumps into protect mode. He is loyal to you. If you calm down , with calm assertiveness like Caesar says, the dog will FEEL your authority and trust that.
Please put in the time every day to rehabilitate your relationship with your dog using Caesar's methods. They work. I've done it. You must put a good amount of time in every day. It's worth it. The dogs are worth it. ❤❤❤
