- I’ve been buying silver for years and years now and I’m still to this day learning new things. Have that be new coins, buying methods or things to avoid. So here’s three things I’ve learned so far.

My biggest mistake was probably rushing into buying Silver at first and not knowing how it goes up and down everyday, but still I manage to take my time when to buy during the dips and look for the best deals while I am shopping for Silver!

It’s so refreshing to hear some sanity finally. You’re right, most of the other channels are nuttier than squirrel poop. My mantra about pretty much everything these days is- FOLLOW THE MONEY. Surprise, some YT channels are preaching the end of the world so they can sell some product. It’s insane. But so it seems, is everything in this day and time. Except this channel. You stack for different reasons than I do. I have stacked for a long time. I have made mistakes. As far as youtube goes. TH-cam is pure entertainment. We have to understand this. The information provided is mostly garbage. The best way to learn to stack is to jump in there and make some mistakes. You learn from making mistakes. Some mistakes are very expensive. I have made some incredibly expensive mistakes that I hesitate to share online. At this stage in my journey I have decided that gold is the best metal to stack. I have a lot of silver that I stacked when I was new to stacking. My best advice is that you should primarily stack cash. Be patient and buy metals when you see buying opportunities. Try and never over pay. Buy a lot when the price is low. Buy less when the price is higher. You will regret over paying. An example of over pay is to buy new Silver Eagles. You will not get your money back if you buy new Silver Eagles. Dealers will not pay you over spot for premium metal. Don't fall for it. If you get into a bind you will find yourself selling premium metals for very low prices. Dealers are not your friend. Learn about spreads and use the spreads to your advantage.

That happen to me - I had MS69/70 silver coins and he barely paid over spot - I got screwed - now all I buy is bullion .
you are right about coin shows. one thing I would add is when at the coin show ask many if not all the dealers what kind of silver do you hate to buy or will not buy. I found out most hate hand poured bars and any bar bigger then a kilo. When I started stacking coin shows were the only place to talk to other stackers. in 1967 no internet no computers and we got our 90% from the local bank for face value. we did not even keep 40% Kennedys as they were minted every year. I miss the coin shows and I live in a area where the nearest coin dealer I trust to deal with is a 4 plus hour drive. Jim

I've only been attacking for 6 months, and the best advice I've heard (you even said it in this video) is "stack what you like". I'll add that it's OK if what you like change every 2 months. I thought I only wanted to but silver rounds, but then it changed to Constitutional, and now I'm adding Large cents, 2 cents, 3 cents, Morgans and Peace dollars.

I've grown so weary of all the channels spreading fear based and bullsh*% content and using titles like "Dark Days Ahead" or "You Will Own Nothing, They Want You Broke". I know those titles are click bait for some but for me they are Click Repulsive and resulted in me unsubscribing from their fear baiting. Your channel and content I always appreciate and highly recommend. Thank you for keeping it real and positive.

I completely agree about the other channels out there. They’re entertaining but definitely engineered to sell metals. Long term stackers know they’ve been saying the economic collapse has been coming soon for many decades. I was a part of the 2011 hype. Learned my lesson.

You are 100% correct on TH-camrs. I also don't follow videos where they are sponsored by a company like SD Bullion. They are paid by SD and they try to get you to buy silver when it is high, when you should be buying when silver is low. Best silver and gold are best bought at your LCS and create a good relationship with your LCS,
LCS is ALMOST always the best place to buy with the best prices. It’s rare I find an online bullion dealer that has a better price
I agree most channels are doom and gloom or they hype metals up they are going to the moon . If metals get as expensive as they say nobody would be able to buy anything.

Great video my friend. The hype videos are getting ridiculous. I’m glad I’m not the only one who tries to keep it real. Whenever I have a wacky title for one of my videos, it’s usually in response to a wacky comment or question. But I too keep it real.

You say “us” like you’re a big channel because you are, maybe recognition hasn’t caught up yet but some of your variety of higher premium silver and gold did start to shift my perspective. I now try to go 50/50 on “collectible” pieces vs bullion.

Agreed, good content. I do avoid some of the Clickbait titles as well, I think the best information passed on to us listeners is each individual channel that talks about their own experiences of buying certain coins, rounds or bars instead of telling us what’s gonna happen with the market its so unpredictable. Lately I’ve been trying to stick with the lower premium bars like just plain generic 10 ounce bars and waiting for the good deals on quarter ounce gold coins at under 10%, thanks for your video

I have bought premium silver, junk silver (which is not junk) slabbed and graded silver and bars and rounds. I do not regret buying any of it. I just buy what I want at the time with whatever extra funds I have. I also have bought some gold including fractional gold, bars and Buffalos. I buy a little at a time and it adds up over time. I do not ever intend on selling it unless I am forced to sell it which I do not see happening. I regard it as insurance I can pass down to my son when I am gone.

I’ve learned to set a certain amount of cash aside a month for PMs. Also to NOT buy when there’s hype or 6 month highs. Stack the cash show some self control and wait for dips (six month lows and buy hard. My dollar cost average for gold and silver speak for itself..

@@StatesideStash even if you averaged the six month lows and six month highs you would be $27 on silver $2200 gold buying above that to me is crazy. Pull 6 month kitco charts tab six months to get current numbers . You are welcome!

Please give further information regarding your dislike for half oz. Gold- (eagles in particular).
Seems to me that it is good for two reasons,
1) less of a hit on the pocketbook at one time than a full oz.
2) better premium than quarter oz.
As far as liquidation- have you tried to sell half oz. Gold eagles and found them hard to liquidate?

I’ve found every have ounce piece of gold difficult to liquidate. Peer to peer never works and my LCS give under spot for them. I’d rather save for a full ounce or pay the premium for two quarter ounce gold coins cause you’ll get some premium back and have no problem selling

The local coin shop near me is Tyler, TX. He's definitely a wolf in sheep clothing. He will rip you off on premiums for silver that has it and pay under spot if you don't know any better.
As you said, you need to do your research on silver, everything about it.
The click bait videos I scroll past, in my opinion they are just pumping out videos to generate cash through youtube ads if they have a big enough following.
