I felt So Bad for Lucas. I Loved how Kelly managed to make friends with the poor guy... if only to get hold of the phone. I thought it was sweet how even She told Lucas to stay down. She didn't want him to get hurt. She knew it wasn't his fault, what was happening to her. This was, in my opinion, one of the most heartbreaking episodes this show has to offer, and it's truly unforgettable.
When i watched this as a kid, i did not feel anything because i did not understand exactly what tbe deal was. But during a recent rewatch of thw show, i feel bad every time for lucas. Damn, the production team went all out in this season finale.
I will always mantain that the whole final sequence of this episode is just perfect. The pacing, the music, the monologue, and even the moments of silence. Now does it mean much to someone who hasn't seen the rest if the show up to now, no not really. However to those who have, it hits like a truck.
100% ... it is the peak of criminal minds ... as someone who has seen every episode multiple times, this one got to be one of the best. Not only cause of the crazy case at the pig farm, which was extremely dusturbing but also just sad (still think Lucas & Mason are one of the most underrated criminal minds antagonists), but also cause of the epic Reaper comeback, who turned out to be my fav criminal minds enemy together with Frank in S2.
This entire season was just fantastic! This season finale sucks me in every time. Watching the two-parter and the horror of the case followed up by that cliff hanger was just perfection!
Honestly. Props to Kelly, she managed all this while going through withdrawals, plus she did genuinely care about Lucas even if she was terrified, she knew he wasn't a monster. The way her voice breaks when she tells him to stay down and not make any sudden moves, she truly didn’t want them to kill him. One of my favorite episodes of season 4
This episode and the episode before it are my favourite CM episodes. 'I brought 35 missing person files' 'that's it?' 'What, that's not enough' '89 pairs'
That is how you end a season! The best thing about criminal minds (even on the millionth rewatch) is that it just keeps getting better and better (or worse and more depraved as the case tends to be) where the team started in season 1 (2 for Prentiss) and where they are at the end of season 4 is completely different and what Hotch was saying is so accurate. I love the fact it wasn’t a quote quote but rather Hotch speaking to the audience. Don’t get me wrong because this is one of my all time favourite shows but season 4 is when it got really good for me. Every episode was “they can’t top this. Oh they did!” 1-3 had some incredible episodes but nothing this impressive in my opinion.
I love Rossi. It's funny because the first thing I saw him in before Criminal minds was Baby's Day Out when I was little. He's hilarious in that. It's crazy he can do both such good comedy and something so much more intense like this.
The fact that lucas felt so much guilt after hunting bis brother to where mason basically made him take people to fix him. He told Lucas to not communicate with the people to make the people feel more like livestock. As soon as kelly started talking to him he pretty much broke down
I feel so bad for Lucas in this episode, there is no doubt that he wouldn't be like this if not for Mason. And he should have been under the care of licenced professionals who are able to communicate with him and contain him in a positive way. Mason on the other hand, would have done somethiing if not for being paraplegic. He would propably have found some other experiments to expose his victims to.
I feel really sad for Lucas (i cried again despite watching it before damn) and the victims, they deserve better, i wish he live and connect with that girl :')))))), generally well-written episode - season though.
yes a great finale episode for a great season....Yes the reaper is back....just image how is was to have to wait many months to see what happens after that cliffhanger.....really hard
i feel bad for lucas. he clearly is a small child mentally and was just doing what his only family was telling him to do. he didnt understand it really. if he had lived i think that he would have been ok in a locked mental facility.
This season finale was rough. That wait was difficult when you had to wait weeks between episodes. This episode is still at the top of my most memorable.
This episode was inspired by a real life murderer, named Robert Picton from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. He had a pig farm, and confessed to killing 49 people, all transients and prostitutes. They only had evidence for a few murders, I think they tried him for six (not entirely sure). He was convicted of life in prison with no chance of ever getting out. No, he was not going to get the death penalty, Canada doesn't have that anymore.
Logan’s reaction at the end, yes Logan our reaction too pure gold 😂👌🏼😂👌🏼😂 I forgot this season out of the first 3 was the best they actually topped how great Gideon was in some way. All the best villains where here out of 4 seasons.

The shock factor definitely worked if you watched this the first time round and had to wait an entire YEAR, just to find out what happened to Hotch. You comment about how we live in a scary world always reminds me that while some of CM is based on actual cases, but the majority is fictional, there is aome sick individual out there watching and taking notes.
Wish they hadnt killed Lucas, poor guy. I am usually down with the death penalty all the way but in this particular case that would probably be a relief to him so I'd just keep him alive like that bored out of his mind for the rest of his life. Alive but no comforts that seems more torturous than death.
I feel so bad for Lucas. He should of lived and got to be in a mental institution where they could help him get past everything. It just sucks knowing that ppl with his difficulties get tricked into shit like this all the time
Wow... Just wow.... I have watched this show more times than i can remember, and season four gets me every time. The villains, the cases, the music, the characters, the action.... And that season finale, makes me tear up almost if not every single time. Season 1-2 had some good stuff, with how the team operated, and i guess their struggles. Hotch trying to balance home and work, morgan with the carl bufford incident, gideon not recovering from frank, reid with his addiction. I'll be honest, when gideon left in season 3 and they brought dave in the team, i hated rossi because he acted like a jerk, but after watching him trying to solve an old case he was emotionslly close to, and seeing him talk to morgan in tbe season 3 finale, made me warm up to him, and latwr like him as a character. Season 3 of criminal minds was a bit weak in my opinion, but still had some good episodes. Season 4 however, went all out, it was peak, and we got the seeds of one of the greatest arcs in season 5,and one great and emotional finale for this season. That is why i like this show, it knows how to excite me.
Morgan yelling at them to stop when they shot Lucas is such a sad sight
oh yeah my heart broke 😢

100% agree

Kelly is a badass for sure, all that fighting and figuring Lucas out and trying to save him all while presumably going through withdrawals too

The scene with Lucas is heartbreaking... The way they killed him off pissed me off the first time I watched this episode 😢

Insane. The writing and tragedy ittself are spot on. Two of the best CM episodes 0 doubt.
This is such a good episode! And the ending…

They had Frank! I think he and foyet are the best antagonists in the show
Put peter luis and the replicator in that category as well, but i do agree that Frank and Foyet take first place@@bennifinger6531

That girl would not want to be near that man again , heck no . I sure wouldn’t

rosie interacting with unsubs is always so funny because he never gives a fuck and always insults them lol

A Banger of a Season Finale for an Absolute Banger of a Season❤❤❤

“I get Lenny vibes from this” had me doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point lol. Love rewatching criminal minds ❤

I cry every time I watch this episode :( Lucas just breaks my heart
I was terrified of my family pig farm when I first saw this one. But it got better
This was loosely based on Robert Pickton in BC Canada, he was a pig farmer and convicted.
Was he mentally disabled?
John Dorie from Fear the Walking Dead! This was a great finale to a great season.
After that farm we end with Foyet... Hotch😮😱😱😱😱
It's funny and cool to hear the dating of the episodes. So he is filming in 2022, this will be released in jan 2023, it was posted to TH-cam may 2023.
It was filmed and released about 20 weeks ago. That's it
18:37 this is me anytime I watch something like this😂😂
This is the second Mice and Men type scenario thus far. It’s heartbreaking but well executed.
What an excellent season! Definitely one of my faves!
Imagine waiting another year for the next season!
Can’t believe you’re through season 4 seems like you just started lol
this ep like basically all of sn4 is spectacular especially then end scene
“Of mice and Men” only like dark

Are you watching this on Paramount+? They cut out so much of Garcia "Baby Girl". I almost did not watch the full first 15 seasons.
