I find this show to be a very good balance of how to depict battles and everyday life. The original manga author used to be an assistant at Chainsaw Man and I think he learned a lot from that experience. It's hard to notice the similarities at first glance, but I think this show is quite heavily influenced by Chainsaw Man.

She’s watched and enjoyed many scary things, I don’t see any problem with how she controls herself. Telling people how to react to something is also kinda rude.

Don't try to make it her problem that you don't like to see people cry. That's your problem. There's nothing wrong with her feeling and showing a range of emotions --in fact that's exactly why a lot of us enjoy her reactions. Her emotions are close to the surface and that's a precious quality in my opinion.
