I mean one story I can share is that I had a run where my character was named Grim. I started out on the second floor of a cathedral, raiders to the left of me, on the roof, and zombies below, mercifully neither spotted me, or each other before I managed to get a pointy stick made. I decided to confront the raiders first, and I was lucky, no guns, one had just a knife, and the other had a halberd and threw it at me for some reason. So, Halberd in hand, with a lighter stolen from one of them as well, I descended, the pews were where the bulk of the zombies were, and I managed to kill the two that were near the stairwell without bringing down the horde. Then I realized I could be smart, and started setting things on fire before going back to the roof and laying down. The walls were stone, so I figured that the building would stay standing in a fire, but the floors were wooden. So, I waited up there until I heard things stop breaking and no more shuffling before climbing down the ledge. The fire was out, most of the zombies had died, with a handful of very injured ones left. Took more blows than I would like mopping up, but among the stuff that survived was a pistol and an army bayonet, and I now have a safe enough place to sally from, since the third floor still has most of its floor unburnt, and the second floor has enough floor left for roof access, even if the main doors are gone, I managed to move the fridges from next door into the doorway to block it. So, I lived on top of a burnt, desecrated sanctuary filled with the corpses of things that didn't stay dead, with more piled outside the wall in the areas where I stab things from off the roof. I decided to start a new game after securing the church a bit more because, while I could do more, I feel like leaving off with turning the former cathedral into a stronghold was better than trying to continue the story.
With his car full of lab loot, and his limbs damaged, John decided to light a joint to dull the pain. Drawing upon the funds of his clumsy trait, he accidentally lit the counter instead of the joint, brutally burning his house. With his home destroyed, he took his car and set out to find a new one. This new house was a once abounded farm , perfect for long term living, however John's life would be everything but long term. Looting a light industry, lmoe, and farm supply store, John bori regained basic loot lost in the devastating fire. After several weeks of studying, eating and an assortment of other activities he got bored, fashioned a copper spear, and set out to the nearby mansion he threw aside his copper spear for a better pike, and quickly became overconfident after the effortless clearing of the first floor. Upon entering the second floor he noticed a zombie who had evolved to have a crocodile snout , this zombie was too fast and John could not get in optimal pike range, and was tore apart by this strange, crocodillian zombie, his light of consciousness blinked out and he joined the ranks of the countless undead.
You can put gasoline zombies in bathtubs and slowly collect infinite gasoline overtime! (You can pick up spilt liquids from bathtubs) The government doesn't want you to know that, but the gasoline zombies in the park are actually free and you can just take them home. I have 39 gasoline zombies in my apartment.
Can i just mention that Pickle probably met some of her fellow submissives on the first floor in the large room on the right? She might not known them too well, but still I would guess that had some effect on her. Fun fact: the zombie at 23:20 was wearing a wedding dress. Quite possibly it was also a big afterparty as well.
One of my favourite runs, first is a a meat intolerant military sniper, helicopter crashed en route to a helipad, we'll put it down to portal storm shenanigans, after regaining consciousness, the rest of the squad started to reanimate, I fought them off heading towards the south, leaving a trail of former squad members down the road, managed to hold up in a half built evac shelter basement overnight while tending to my wounds, after a cold uncomfortable night, went to crack open an MRE in the morning to find some joker gave me a meat dish. Having nothing else, I decided to go check the corpses I left behind, disappointing results, scoped out the town to the north, decided it was too dangerous in my condition and headed back towards the south east as there was some buildings at the other side of the woods. Trekking through the woods we spotted a Mi-go in the distance, it fell to my sniper rifle before it reached me, coming clear of the woods there was an alien structuring towering in the north, along with a garden supply store following a road to the south east, and further east a strange pod had crashed in to the ground, managed to clear the dead from the store, converting that in to my permanent home, boarding the holes in the windows with bookcases, from here it was a goal of securing a supply of food (no hope with overwhelming despair didn't help) had a good long period of constantly being near starved, even had to try and eat some of the MRE's, they didn't stay down which made the situation worse, investigated the pod which led me to the exodii, worked with them for a bit, enhancing myself, between that and clearing out other small towns, meeting some crazy guy living in a cabin and looting some other locations nearby, scavenged some vehicles, started some farms, built some apiaries, got some livestock, this was the first time in game that I really started to explore cooking/fermenting etc Surviving to summer somehow, managed to save me from an early death This character sadly met their end, trying to save some unfortunate souls from the mi-go tower to my north.

The whole area is surrounded with fungal infection so I had to grab that I need in a hurry before the whole area is surrounded by fungaloids. My weapon of choice was folding knives because Kenneth has Shiv Familiarity. (Unarmed combat is not good with 6 STR) I escaped northeast and made the rural house as my permanent base. Its isolated from the civilization. I survived with cattails and pine needle tea, crafted tools and learned how to use Blind Rage. While learning Blind Rage, my character had weird dreams of nightmares. He learned new spells, such as channeling power to his fist to deal devastating bash damage, banish with pure damage (idk how I can use this power), heal with dreamdross. Thanks to spells, I can fight against dangerous enemies I otherwise cannot fight. At some point, my character gains the ability to craft dream weapons. I first made a mace. With Blind Rage, I can effectively wield it. I manage to clear two small towns. I started to use sharpened pipe first because I want to use speed for my advantage but later begin using mace and shiv for my weapon. I got armor that I can use in the process. (Planning to upgrade the army helmet to fully cover my head) I upgrade the base to improve my quality of life. Made charcoal smoker and water well which made washing clothes easier. I only cut dead or warped trees as I want to keep as much healthy trees as possible. I made a video about raiding towns.
hey man. I've been a fan for quite awhile now. Ever since I got into C:DDA anyhow. I enjoy your roleplay style. I have a question though. Have you ever considered a roleplay in C:DDA of an eccentric character? Like a character that has quirks in how they act. Things they prefer. Goals that only matter to them and maybe have nothing to do with survival or questing. I heard you ask about play thrus and mine are all really odd compared to the way many people play. Like I made a girl that really just wanted to make a lemonade stand. So everything she did revolved around finding a spot for it and then figuring out how to build it and make alot of lemonade. She had other more subtle quirks I self imposed upon myself, but it all fleshed out the lemonade stand bit too. Her run ended when I wasn't paying attention and ran her into a large hole I couldn't get out of in the middle of the night...which had nothing to do with lemonade >< edit: well I suppose Pickles self imposed revenge mission falls in these lines. Just ignore me ;p
@@ryconplays I suggest making someone totally off of their rocker because the cataclysm made them lose their mind. So they reverted to being a baby and decide to live in a pillow fort (an actual buildable thing in game). Give them some hallucination based negative quirk to make it make sense. Perhaps their previous life was that of a rancher and they are friendly with the cattle that will fill their milk bottles for the rest of the apocalypse ....or something similarly off the wall. Or even someone that fully embraces their negative quirks rather than trying to fix them. An addict who is on a constant search for their vice and could care less about anything or anyone else and puts themselves at incredible risk to satiate their broken desires. just ideas.. xD

I really like the of goal based gameplay and it's fun that CDDA is leaning into that some more too. I'm sure we'll have some strange ones this season
