I use my CC for all of my purchase, and for some bills. At the end of the month I ALWAYS make the full payment. I am at step 6 of 7 with Dave Ramsey. My goal is to get a free trip back to Vietnam in 1-2 years. I earn 1.5 points for every dollar that I spend. I know Dave is against this, but hey, If I'm at step 6, I think I can go against the grain, and do what I feel is best for me.
I'm the same way. That's how my dad taught me. Get a credit card with cash back and put all your purchases on it. Then ALWAYS pay it at the end of the month. I've got over a grand in cash back.
If you're on baby step 6/7, then just save up for 3months and take that trip every year.
@@minkekj Don't feed the trolls, they just have some more nonsense they want to talk about on here.
@@sn4rl277 lol fair. It's just a fun past time. Keeps me feeling young.
I use credit to pay bills listed in my budget. I pay my son’s college bill, the mechanic, the gas pump, my car insurance, groceries, etc… and the cash back… well that pays for Christmas! Been doin’ it for years. I own my house, cars are paid, retirement, 529 accts for boys, no debt, no consumer loans. It just works for us.
There is NOTHING WRONG with credit cards... IF USED CORRECTLY.
*YOU* are using them correctly!
Yeah nothing is wrong with that Dave is trying to get the persons who can’t control themselves and just consume everything without thinking
I had to use my credit card for an emergency vet visit. They charged me an extra 3% surcharge fee. Surcharge fees are against the law since Jul 1, 2024, in CA! The vet said, "So what?!"
I don't use one anymore
Just depends on situation...I proably save more than most only cash people and I have a cc I regularly use.
Credit cards are amazing if you know how to use them and where to use them and, checking that your credit utilization dose not exceed a certain amount.
You can use a credit card at a vending machine? I didn’t know that. That’s crazy! I don’t need vending machine crap that bad.
You've never been stuck at a hospital overnight.
Your other option is Doordash but that's even worse.
There is psychological stimulus to spend but on the other hand the interest rate for the debt that is not paid is quite huge, so be careful.
Only time it’s ok to use a credit card is when you’re booking a cabin on the Ramsey cruise
I payed with cash I physically drove to Ramsey Incorporated and personally handed the money to Dave.
@@drizzyfest6285 sounds like you’re doing better than you deserve killer flex
When I was in Mexico a few years ago, the corrupt police took all of my cash, but let me keep my credit cards.
I don't go to Mexico anymore, but now, even in the US, I carry very little cash and use my CC most of the time. And yes, I pay it off every month.
I use a credit card to purchase everything unless their’s a charge to use a card
Glad I am not the average person
I use a credit card for every purchase. I use a budget AND I have not paid any Interest in 17 years.....and I've never used credit card in vending machine.. that's wasteful spending.
You are not like the average person.
I live in Germany and credit cards are rarely used I am 27 and never owned one. I didn’t know credit card debts where such a big thing before I saw all these videos.
Smart man.
His advice of for people with absolutely no self control.
I bet the average person who does this are the ones that carry a balance. Those who spend consciously, don't spend more
That’s how you arrive at a balance.
@@hugohabicht9957 in an August report, half of all credit cards users in the USA do not carry a balance. Your logic is flawed. Some people are actually responsible.
@laundrygoddess4 That many...I am one of them but I would have guessed around 30%.
@@markg999 reports fluctuate between 48% and 54% but 50% was the most recent and in the range so I used that. It shocks people just how many responsible people are out there considering how much hate credit card use gets.
I use my credit card only for things I will have to buy or pay for…. Car insurance , house insurance , medical copays, (food at grocery store- 6 % Amex ).
Each year it brings me in 600/700 hundred dollars
So yes your right about some people
But not all of us , 0 balance …. Owe nothing
Never pay interest
Dave, I got 1000 bucks cash to buy something. I rather use my visa. Have extra warranty get the points. Then slap that 1000 bucks on the card. Boom. Doesn't work for everyone but it does work
How can we get a question to you? I have a question, alot of people have!
I only use for booking for vacation. Camping reservation, airfare, hotel or motel, transportation. Thats it. When I return home, I pay it all off in one fell swoop. Because . . . I had cash in my account before I left.
Everything is paid for. Home, cars, etc. monthly utilities, homeowners insurance and property tax.
One just needs to budget, live below ones means. And drive average vehicles, the $100,000 vehicle is going to get from point A to point B in the same amount of time.
Car collector is a different category.
YEPPPP
I am so glad i never owned a credit card ever in my life.
Like cocaine, my father used to say...
Try I line of credit for 150,000 that you never wanted an was pushed into it’s not good to have
Paying someone else to spend money that I haven't earned yet???? Sorry, but I just dont see the sense in that!!! Then paying them interest on the money I borrowed and haven't paid back yet? Nope, nope, just nope!!!
Reading the comments below makes me laugh 😂. The credit card companies aren't building skyscrapers because you pay all your debt back at the end of the month. Please 😂!
They're building skyscrapers because of all the people that don't pay off their balance.
That makes sense, it's so easy to overspend with a credit card.
It’s cause you don’t have actual cash in your hands
For everyone in the comment section saying they use credit cards can one of u tell me if you're rich yet? Since Dave and Mark Cuban said you don't wanna be rich if you use your credit card. I just wanna see something
Who says you get rich using a cc? 😂
I mean I pay mine off and nw is near 2 million...but nobody says that.
Am I the only one finding out right now that you can use a credit card at a vending machine??
Maybe. I first noticed it when my wife and I were on vacation and stayed at a hotel.
Interest rates are down, gas is under $3, and Harris has overtaken Trump.
Happy, Happy, Happy.
😂
I know Dave no debt but no credit rating.oh boy
When you use your husbands wallet. Studies show ………………..
