Way nicer than the manufacturer ever intended it to be. I'm thinking a backyard fountain might be fun! That little engine probably wonders why it can't be all pretty too.
Yes, you should restore the engine next. Honda engines are very reliable. I like the color you chose for the water pump. Looks like it works just fine.
If the pump did 25L per 17sec. ideally the L/s should come just under 1.5L/s. (actual math comes out 1.47 L/s). Great video as usual, totally deserves a sub and a like.
For a fairly simple bit of the math involved, do a quick search on the affinity laws. That will give you an idea what you can do with this pump. Speed / horsepower / and the diameter of the impeller / pressure (also called head) are all fairly simply related. However, you need to have at least ONE point of operation info to do a comparison, as these only give ratios you can expect from changing one of the other items. Impeller size in your case is fixed.... So if you have pulleys, you can change the RPM's and it will predict the amount of more or less horsepower you will need. Nice example of a good workable pump. And with a pulley drive, almost infinitely variable for what you might need.
I'd be surprised if that pump had an hour of run time. Looks more like it was purchased and left somewhere exposed to moisture, but otherwise 100% functional.
@@AJRestoration you are not lying there you should put some thing like that up again and a flashing sign Two Days Later then you come back on collapse over work piece.
In almost every restoration project I watch, the original casting marks are always filed away during during restoration, (just like what you are doing here!!) Why is that? Seems if that is the way the product came from the manufacturer, shouldn't they be left after restoration? Some people like me are more into originality than attempting to make the final restoration look better than the original!! LOL!!

Really great job , it looks brilliant. Didn't expect it to pump that quickly. Yes, do the engine at some point 👌
Neither did I, its got good pressure! I have 2 engines lined up now. The latest one is a old 2hp Briggs and Stratton.
@@AJRestoration great , I'm looking forward 👌

Really great restoration; love the blue powder coat!
You could probably put pedals on it and use it to propel a boat lol
That would be cool
Cool! Just a little surface rust, the inside was like new looks like it may have spent a few nights out in the rain

I loved this project, anything that has a engine hooked up to it is my favorite! Especially if it is with pulleys, the possibilities are endless.

أحسنت يا مبدع استمر
ficou muito boa a restauração!
Hi A J nog n mooi water pomp gered van die skrootwerf

Yes! Restore the engine to match the pump.
Will do :-)
As always nice job . What blast media do you use ?
I use 60 grit silica sand made for sandblasting.
💪💪💪👍👍👍👍
Parabéns 👏
Bro why don't you use primer?
I know paint does the work but a primer would help protect the metal
Powder coating does not use primer. The impeller did not get primer because the paint would not last really long in the water anyways.
@@AJRestoration OK bro. Thanks
Rusted Centrifugal Water Pump Restoration
Might have made a difference on the Titanic.
Primer coat missing
None needed hehe its powdercoating.
Repeat after me: We do not paint over the rotor with paint that is not food grade. At best we season it with cooking oil.
Hahaha I really love some of the comments on my videos.
Everything is better with powder coating..
So true haha
That was engenius... how you loosened the flywheel. If that's what that's called, lol
Its called the impeller haha but close enough. :-)
@AJRestoration thanks. I knew that but couldn't think of it... lmao
didn't want to file that spew huh!
Hahaha it would take some time!
