God, 2015 feels like a lifetime ago. The 70th anniversary was phenomenal!!!! I was 13 and in middle school then, now eight years later in 2023 I’m gonna turn 22 later this year and have one year of college left. Time is insane!!!
In my opinion, this is the ONLY Thomas Movie that actually needs to go to theaters as it's the closest movie Thomas has ever had to a actual cinematic film
I personally would have liked it better when I first saw it if Thomas' maturity from Tale of the Brave was in tact in the story. It would have made the conflict between him and The Fat Controller more serious if it they were both at odds with each other over Thomas' dedication to his branchline, refusing to do anything outside of his comfort zone because of his dedication and both being on bitter terms with one another until the chase with the ship with The Fat Controller helping Thomas and his crew catch John and Skip. And maybe they could've written Percy into the story and make his part in it build on his arc of rebuilding his bravery from Tale of the Brave.

Man, I just adore how Never Overlook A Little Engine resembles parts of Really Useful Engine, and how that transitioned into this chase scene. Also, 4:32 that ditty to the classic Runaway theme, yes! Props to Hartshorne for this amazing piece of work!
Still one of the best pieces of music to EVER of come out of Thomas. The fact a Thomas the Tank Engine soundtrack can go so hard is a testament to the people who worked on the show and movies of Thomas who gave a shit about what they were doing.
SLOTLT had a Season 5 kinda feeling. It was very cinematic and action packed. It was as close as we would get to a theatrical film. And that is why I fucking love this movie. And the soundtracks composed for it were an absolute bop

I totally forgot how great this was. I already loved Hummie Man's score for TATMR but sometimes I forget how much effort Robert & Peter Hartshorne put into this movie before leaving. While I'm not a fan of Robert's score for the hit model era, I will say I enjoy his score for the cgi series more, same with what his son did too during his time.
I just love how Gordon just gets involved a bit in this part 0:55 . Like it’s telling you we’re Still on the island of Sodor and there’s still other Engines around doing Really useful Jobs. Especially the Part with the Arlesdale Engines and Ryan as well 2:20 . Ryan didint do much but at least he was a pretty good character. And I just love how Similar “Never over Look a little Engine” and “His a Really useful Engine” are! I’m not sure if it was intentionally. Edit: Also I know this Comment is long enough but This Part 1:48 with Ryan is so Lovely! The Music Composers must of done there very best composing this whole thing. Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure is the true Thomas the tank engine movie. After watching it I feel kinda jipped by Thomas and the Magic Railroad.
They didn't need to make music this good for Thomas, but they did and now this masterpiece exists.
