How they recorded it, they did the session sort of live and then added the guitar riffs and the vocals before the master of it. Great reaction, John. Very honest review. Phenominal album for just the second studio album from this band. By the way, Alejandra the bassist is 14yo today. Her bass lines throughtout this album are exceptional.
You voiced concerns about labels wanting to change them. It is a valid concern. They have turned down three chances to sign with a label because of that. Disney, Nickelodeon and Simon Cowell all wanted them to sign, with the condition that they play pop music. The girls said no thank you. 🤘🏻

They played at a smaller venue for their patreons and Dani discussed that they were approached by a couple of record labels that not only wanted to change their music, but their 'look' as well, saying that if they chose to continue to play hard rock, they 'had to look the part'.. It was their dad who asked 'Meaning what?' and from what I got from the Spanish, the label asked them to be more 'revealing' ( show skin) and their dad pretty much kicked them out of their studio. Good on him!

Actually, more like 16, 14 & 11...think most of it has origins and entry into Paulina's "murder book" as far back as two years ago when she was 14 going on 15. Of course recording is another story, but these ladies are as precocious with their songwriting as a band like Silverchair whose lead singer was like 15 when their first album was released right?

Did anyone say prodigies yet? Incredible joy to listen and watch with anticipation the journey these three incredibly talented young women have embarked on. This album is reminds me of a Broadway show soundtrack the way it was formed around a theme . You can also feel the emotions in their incredible singing. Well done. I'm definitely a fan. The last vocal addition at the end of The End is Danny (lead singer) when all of the song was sung by Pau (the drummer). The same is true for the first song Dust to dust where Pau is the main singer and Danny does that last vocal addition at the end of the song. Also in the song Sinister Smiles, Danny is the main singer but Pau sing like two verses of that song as well. 🤘🏼😎
John, That was fun to watch, you were spot on with your react/review. About those goosebumps, there are a lot of those moments in the live performance videos. The Warning, to me, are approaching their music on a deliberate and well planned path. They are excellent in their rock- oriented foundation and structure of songs. I'm an old school metal head from WAY back, and my experience with The Warning has been a treat. You almost HAVE TO see them live. As good as their albums are, the stage energy is unreal. If you sit at home and just listen to their music, you only get half of it. I haven't experienced that since some of the mega bands of the 80s.. Too bad their tour was snubbed by the virus.. If we ever get back to normal, you can bet TW will be back with a vengeance!
They are determined to stay independent and play only the music they want to play. They said something like they'd rather play the music they want to 12 people than play something they're forced to play to thousands. Paulina Villareal is a very talented drummer is got so much energy Ale is a beast now . I have to share with you this rare prog find due to seemingly awesome TH-cam suggestion algorithm. Finland, the prolific land we all know of symphonic, power, melodeath and pagan metal bands. It actually has his fair share of some nerdy unknown progressive bands. Some of them have produced some little prog gems in the last year's and they are so different from the sound of American prog bands. They are way more lyrical and melodic. One of this is Constantine. Their long track The Darkest Grace is masterly done composition wise, edgy very distinctive vocals, sweet transitions, ideal balance between heavy and melodic riffs . The melody above all this is incredible. It deserves a reaction.

Im 34, so we must be around the same age, because my high school days i was rockin Open Your Eyes every day too. Came across the band by mistake... I wasn't aware of their story and how they became "popular" on youtube with their Metallica cover. I always loved listening to full albums rather than just what other listeners think are the band's "best" songs - and I did the same with The Queen of the Murder Scene, and I wasn't disapointed. I can't say I got the whole concept during my first listen since I was more intrigued on the vocals and instruments - every song is different and brings something new and fresh while also having the same signature sound... where most of nowadays bands fail because they either don't know how to innovate or they overdo it - this album is a near-perfect example of how to balance it. I am a huge black metal listener so yeah I'm used to concept albums like this and it might sound like I'm praising this band too much but they are very talented. I have listened to some of their older stuff and I can't really get into it - it's just not for me, but this album is a rare pearl and I hope they get to do something similar but expand their sound a bit - try different things like other instruments or growling (i'm just jk).
Bro, I ordered the Q.O.T.M.S. album on CD last week, and I can't *WAIT* to get it in the mail.😁 I already have the XXI Century Blood album in bits and pieces, and this is what really got me hooked on them for life. All the unexpected breaks and key changes are what really keep it interesting, in addition to Pau's dark lyrics. The whole album is like a storybook of sorts (you know, the kind you read under the covers at night with a flashlight)😳😱 This is literally a musical masterpiece for 3 sisters, all still in their teen years! Can you imagine where they will be 10 years from now?? It boggles the mind! John, thanks for your great review of this, and I hope to see more content from these wonderful young ladies in the near future on your channel! 🤘😍🤘 *EDIT:* You can support the Warning in other ways also, by buying their merchandise (other than their albums), on their site at thewarningband.com. As it stands, they're stable for the moment, but a lot of former Patreon users have moved to SubscribeStar and other platforms for funding.
The problem here is not seeing them live. The first song is sung by the drummer. The second song is the guitarist / lead singer. The drummer does sing lead on several songs.
This is a concept album that was meant to be listented to in one sitting,in order to really "get" the whole story that is potrayed throught the whole album. Not sure why it would be disrespectuful in any way :)
You start talking when the music is playing without music pauses. So please stop the music first and make some dialogue about it. Don't be anxious and react one song at the time.

Im 34, so we must be around the same age, because my high school days i was rockin Open Your Eyes every day too. The Warning is such great talent, its amazing the masterpieces theyve created at such a young age......cant wait for whats next!!! Came across the band by mistake... I wasn't aware of their story and how they became "popular" on youtube with their Metallica cover. I always loved listening to full albums rather than just what other listeners think are the band's "best" songs - and I did the same with The Queen of the Murder Scene, and I wasn't disapointed. I can't say I got the whole concept during my first listen since I was more intrigued on the vocals and instruments - every song is different and brings something new and fresh while also having the same signature sound... where most of nowadays bands fail because they either don't know how to innovate or they overdo it - this album is a near-perfect example of how to balance it. I am a huge black metal listener so yeah I'm used to concept albums like this and it might sound like I'm praising this band too much but they are very talented. I have listened to some of their older stuff and I can't really get into it - it's just not for me, but this album is a rare pearl and I hope they get to do something similar but expand their sound a bit - try different things like other instruments or growling (i'm just jk).

Bro, I ordered the Q.O.T.M.S. album on CD last week, and I can't *WAIT* to get it in the mail.😁 I already have the XXI Century Blood album in bits and pieces, and this is what really got me hooked on them for life. All the unexpected breaks and key changes are what really keep it interesting, in addition to Pau's dark lyrics.
The whole album is like a storybook of sorts (you know, the kind you read under the covers at night with a flashlight)😳😱 This is literally a musical masterpiece for 3 sisters, all still in their teen years! Can you imagine where they will be 10 years from now?? It boggles the mind! John, thanks for your great review of this, and I hope to see more content from these wonderful young ladies in the near future on your channel! 🤘😍🤘

The problem here is not seeing them live. The first song is sung by the drummer. The second song is the guitarist / lead singer. The drummer does sing lead on several songs.

How is possible to react at whole álbum in one shot ?... I like the Warning, in my opinion It is something unrespectful.
This is a concept album that was meant to be listented to in one sitting,in order to really "get" the whole story that is potrayed throught the whole album. Not sure why it would be disrespectuful in any way :)
You start talking when the music is playing without music pauses. So please stop the music first and make some dialogue about it. Don't be anxious and react one song at the time.
