Indeed. But keep in mind that there is intersectionality for each "tribe". For example, those who live in the periphery tend to be Mizrahi, localist, conservative and right wing. Those who live in the center (especially Tel Aviv tend to be Ashkenazi, globalist, progressive, atheist and left wing.

Israel needs a constitution instead of a basic law system so term limits and rules against people under criminal indictment being PM can prevent the current mess that is the Israeli political system. It would also help in the seperation of religion from the government.
But the point is it is almost impossible to create a constitution. They have been trying since 1948 but they never succeeded. The main reason is the same reason why there are so many parties- Israeli society is very torn into groups. I can't think how will there be a consensus on the role of religion, the National Identity( because Arab parties and some left-wing want Israel to be bi-national) and many other topics. Throughput 73 years many people tried to come up with a constitution but it is almost impossible.
It's nice to see all the Israelis who comment saying this is accurate. I can now know I can trust this lol. Politics is always so hard to navigate, especially to a foreign audience. I may be American but I love Israel so much. As a Jew I see Israel as very important and I hope to one day make Aliyah and live in the one and only Jewish state.

97% of drinking water in Gaza is contaminated and undrinkable, Most of them aren't allowed the rights of citizenship and cannot vote, they don't have access to proper healthcare, they cannot travel in or out of the occupied territories, and if that is possible, which is rare, it's under extremely heavy restriction, these are just some I could think of at the top of my head, and I'm in the middle of a physics class :)

Whom Can We Trust If No One Is Trustworthy? While Mizrahi Jews follow Sephardic customs for the most part, Sephardic Jews are specifically ones who left the Iberian peninsula, Mizrahi Jews are ones who lived throughout the Middle East and North Africa regardless of if they ever spent time in Iberia.

I think the problem here is you have not acknowledged Left and Right on economic and social or cultural issues. You can be Left Wing on social or cultural issues but Right Wing on economic issues, vice versa.
We mention it briefly towards the end there, it's just that even that doesn't always match (for example Shas that is very "left wing" on economic issues, "right wing" on social issues, but then kinda falls somewhere in the middle in terms of "the conflict" - but is still lumped into "the right" by most media outlets).

Indeed. But keep in mind that there is intersectionality for each "tribe". For example, those who live in the periphery tend to be Mizrahi, localist, conservative and right wing. Those who live in the center (especially Tel Aviv tend to be Ashkenazi, globalist, progressive, atheist and left wing.

Not 100% true. Many Ashkenazi live in the periphery, like how the guy mentioned in Kibbutzim, or former USSR immigrants who were placed in the periphery like Beer Sheva, and they also tend to be right wing.
On the other hand, today you have many Mizrachi living in central areas, like Kfar Saaba and Hertzelia, more than ever before due to rising in economical status.
The line is not clear cut today as it was before.

Israel needs a constitution instead of a basic law system so term limits and rules against people under criminal indictment being PM can prevent the current mess that is the Israeli political system. It would also help in the seperation of religion from the government.

But the point is it is almost impossible to create a constitution. They have been trying since 1948 but they never succeeded. The main reason is the same reason why there are so many parties- Israeli society is very torn into groups. I can't think how will there be a consensus on the role of religion, the National Identity( because Arab parties and some left-wing want Israel to be bi-national) and many other topics. Throughput 73 years many people tried to come up with a constitution but it is almost impossible.

97% of drinking water in Gaza is contaminated and undrinkable, Most of them aren't allowed the rights of citizenship and cannot vote, they don't have access to proper healthcare, they cannot travel in or out of the occupied territories, and if that is possible, which is rare, it's under extremely heavy restriction, these are just some I could think of at the top of my head, and I'm in the middle of a physics class :)

Whom Can We Trust If No One Is Trustworthy?
One of my favorite quips from Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is when Tom is defined as “a glittering hero…the pet of the old, the envy of the young,” and there were “some that believed that he would be President, yet, if he escaped hanging.” With these few words, Twain captured the essence of leadership in our world. Those who get to the top are the fiercest, most determined, and most ruthless. Today, the latter quality has become so intense that we can no longer believe our leaders, and certainly not trust them to have our best interest in mind.
I am not accusing any leader in particular, or even leaders as a whole. It is simply that in an egoistic world, where people vie to topple one another on their way to the top, the one at the top is clearly the one who trampled over and knocked down more people than anyone else. Concisely, to get to the top in an egoistic world you have to be the biggest egoist.
So how do we know whom to trust? We don’t know and we cannot know. All we know is that we are in the dark.
In a culture of unhinged selfishness, any conspiracy theory seems reasonable, while truth is nowhere to be found. When every person who says or writes something is trying to promote some hidden agenda, you have no way of knowing who is right, what really happened, or if anything happened at all.
The only way to get some clarity in the news and goodwill from our leaders is to say “Enough!” to our current system and build something entirely independent. The guiding principle of such a system should be “information only,” no commentary. Commentary means that information has already been skewed. Information means saying only what happened, as much as possible, not why, and not who is to blame and who we should praise.
Concurrently, we must begin a comprehensive process of self-teaching. We have to know not only what is happening, but why we skew and distort everything. In other words, we have to know about human nature and how it inherently presents matters according to its own subjective view, which caters to one’s own interest. To “clear” ourselves from that deformity, we must learn how to rise above our personal interest and develop an equally favorable attitude toward others. This is our only guarantee that our interpretation of things will be even and correct.
Once we achieve such an attitude, we will discover that the bad things we see in our world reflect our own, internal wickedness. Our ill-will toward others creates a world where ill-will governs, and so the world is filled with wickedness and cruelty. Therefore, all we need in order to create positive leadership-and to generally eliminate ill-will from the world-is to generate goodwill within us. When we nurture goodwill toward others, we will fill the world with goodwill. As a result, the world will fill with kindness and compassion. By changing ourselves, we will create a world that is opposite from the world we have created through our desires to govern, patronize, and often destroy other people.

It's actually less accurate (or arguably equally inaccurate)! While Mizrahi Jews follow Sephardic customs for the most part, Sephardic Jews are specifically ones who left the Iberian peninsula, Mizrahi Jews are ones who lived throughout the Middle East and North Africa regardless of if they ever spent time in Iberia.

Last night, before going to sleep, I thought to ask a Muslim friend online..

First of all, with the discovery of the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls, much of the scroll of Isaiah was found! It validated Isaiah's prophecies. So, Israeli scientists who have been meticulously working on the scrolls, and many of whom didn't even believe in Jesus (at least, at first).. have been proving the authenticity of the ancient prophecies concerning him...
This is important bc Isaiah's writings, alone, are a summation of our redemption.
Written in 700 B.C.e. (700 years before Jesus was born) Isaiah explains:
1. The Jews kept turning their backs on God (ch 1-6)
2. This rejection clearly hurt God.
3. So in chapter 6:10, God temporarily blinds them.. "Lest when the Healer comes, they turn and be healed." So they won't recognize Him when He arrives..
(But in Zechariah 12:10 when the nations of the world attack Israel in the future, this blindness is removed -and they return to God with all of their hearts.)
4. Next, a virgin/young maiden will conceive... and bear a son... And they shall call him "Immanuel" - translated "God among us." (Isaiah 7:14)
5. Then from Isaiah ch 9: The land of the Gentiles (non-Jews) rejoice..
"The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.... You have multiplied the nation
And increased its joy;
They rejoice before You...
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
6. And this is from Isaiah 50... Remember, all of this is in the Jewish Book of the Prophets, and bc they were blinded (in Isaiah 6), their Rabbis argue to the death that this is NOT Jesus:
(You decide)
"When I came, why was there no one?
When I called, why was there no one to answer?
Was my arm too short to deliver you?
Do I lack the strength to rescue you?
By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea,
I turn rivers into a desert;
their fish rot for lack of water
and die of thirst.
I clothe the heavens with darkness
and make sackcloth its covering.”
The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue,
to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears;
I have not been rebellious,
I have not turned away.
I offered my back to those who beat me,
my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard;
I did not hide my face
from mocking and spitting.
Because the Sovereign Lord helps me,
I will not be disgraced.
Therefore have I set my face like flint,
and I know I will not be put to shame."
7. Then the Rabbi's biggest dilemma: explaining away Isaiah 53 (I'll start at the end of ch 52)
"See, my servant will act wisely,
he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
Just as there were many who were appalled at him
his appearance was disfigured beyond that of a human
and his form marred beyond human likeness
so he will sprinkle many nations,
and kings will shut their mouths because of him.
For what they were not told, they will see,
and what they have not heard, they will understand.
Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
He grew up like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we did not esteem him.
Surely he carried our sorrows
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,

yet with the rich in his death,

Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring (those of us who accept his sacrifice and become his children) and prolong his days,
for the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors."
I know it seems demeaning for God to rescue us this way. But the Rescuer is always the true hero. And the intensity of the battle fought, and the peril experienced -to bring us redemption, only highlights the depth of His love for us.
He is not a victim, but our Victor.
It is the "Great Exchange":
"He who knew no sin, became sin for us (on the cross) that in Him we may become the righteousness of God."
2nd Corinthians 5:21
(Therefore, we are purified for Heaven - by His goodness, not our own. And we seek to please God bc of this sweet gift.)
Btw... Isaiah and the other Jewish prophetic books are also in the Old Testament of the Bible.

Let the readers decide for themselves, like I did in 1992. Neither King David nor Israel died for our sins, as someone dies in Isaiah 53. In Isaiah 50, someone with power over creation took abuse from humans. And Psalm 22 is not about David's crucifixion bc we all know David wasn't crucified.

I think the problem here is you have not acknowledged Left and Right on economic and social or cultural issues. You can be Left Wing on social or cultural issues but Right Wing on economic issues, vice versa.
We mention it briefly towards the end there, it's just that even that doesn't always match (for example Shas that is very "left wing" on economic issues, "right wing" on social issues, but then kinda falls somewhere in the middle in terms of "the conflict" - but is still lumped into "the right" by most media outlets).
