Verrucosums are wild and crazy. You really have to chop and prop a lot. What I tend to do is grow them up 2 pole, chop in half, and extend. You have to do this a ton but they'll keep growing. Slow nutrients down when you achieve the size you want

If the plant can't root in the pole anymore it's gonna size down anyway so yeah I'd say the Verrucosum will be a happy camper with a new pole haha. Just chopped up my Splendid earlier today to restart with the top cutting

I recently had the same situation with my verrucosum. I just chopped the lower half into nodes with a humidity dome in perlite (everyone survived so now I have like 9 verrucosums). You could chop and not have it slow down if it’s rooted in the pole
And I have some cuttings of pathos in a Mason jar filter water. And then I have a bamboo it just did not grow. I put her in a hydroponics pot with the strings she likes it. I am starting to like them in water. And the black stuff that you use. I don't know what it is but I would like to try it. I am new to the plant world. I do my best outside!!! You are very honest in your videos and clean. The baby Swiss cheese is still silly I am waiting for them to come out. The tips stay brown idk🌻✌🏾🪴👍🏾

I think I will wait 1 more leaf and im going to go up again, but will back off after that 💚. I HATE my elcoho, it hasnt done sh*t for me in the year ive had it. I basically suck at Philodendron. Anthurium carniverous plants seem to be my specialty lol

April, just found your channel when looking for info on self-watering pots. I need some advice: the self-watering pots with strings seem to overwater my plants. I tried it with my African violet overnight and the next morning it was totally soaked. Any idea what I did wrong? The string was quite long, and the bottom of the pot was not in the water.

I’ve tried every way you can think of, that’s why I’m leaving it be until it needs a repot lol but I’ll more than likely propagate it as well 😇🌱

I think for the verrucosum if you chop the top it's more likely to shoot off a ton of growth at the bottom
