With the SOT I bought one that looked similar to yours. I turned it upside down, took off all the soil then placed it on a mix of tree fern fibre mix with pon. That layer was only about 1cm thick and under that I have a self watering semi hydro set up. It's doing really well. Good luck 🥀

I bought some large plants that i did not want to transfer to LECA, with the risk of losing them. All 3 are in soil & now, I am fighting Gnats which i dont deal with in LECA !!! I may have to cave in & try to set them up into LECA. Wish me luck!!

Hi i love your channel and energy. I was going to tell you that i have been using great white mycorrhizae and tps one for straight semi hydro transfers and it has yet to fail me. Its healthy bacteria that eats the soil roots. I do have to pull the old soil roots out of the pon after about 2 weeks to a month but by that time my Alocasia have exploded with new roots. Just wanted to share with you. 😊

I love your channel! I also put ALL plants into semi hydro even Hoya and string of hearts, and scindapsus. plants in soil in my house means death sentence for them 😅 I just can’t do soil 😂 it’s so refreshing to connect with someone who also uses pon and semi hydro! ❤️

What happened to your Alocasia corms? I thought I saw some!

I propagated my string of turtles into perlite and also straight into pon. That way you don't need to transfer it from moss to pon with all the fine roots. It doesn't love the pon though. I keep a reservoir at all times and I think it appreciates a wet dry cycle. The leaves look too full of water and washed out

Love the plants! 🌱 For begonias If you want in semi hydro I just chop and prop in water then transfer in pon in works much better! I have lots of begonias in soil and some in perlite/fluval and they love both 🥰 hopefully it still works for you sometimes the soil roots like the rot 😩

Best way to switch from soil to pon is to really wash the soil off the roots with lukewarm water and put it straight into plain fluval for a couple of weeks. Then rinse and repeat and put her in pon! ❤️

Regarding the plant immediately going downhill after you repotted it after you got it -- plant sellers advise not repotting immediately so as not to double shock the plant given that its environment changes completely when you bring it home. It's recommended to give it at least a couple of weeks to acclimate before repotting (If you need to repot it).

I really need to get my hands on that poke a dot lookin plant though lol and I bought the same humidifier a month ago! I wasn’t liking it a few but i got use to it by filling a juice jug of water to refill it and make sure you don’t get to the line or pass the line.. it won’t work well or at all 😒😒 it’s better when i don’t get close to the max fill line 😂

lovely plants, but check the Alocasia fro mealybugs. there were a few white fuzzy spots on the back of the leaves. The begonia is gorgeous.

April, loved the video. I just purchased a begonia last week from my favorite little nursery. It’s a Begonia 'Steve's Leaves Jubilation'. I know they are good friends and I believe they trade plants. I was just happy to find it, there were no others. I really like your new humidifier…if you want it to last longer use distilled water in it. Regular tap water will leave mineral deposits and it’ll stop working. See you in your next video!

I think I found a small Philodendron Summer glory. Labeled as alocasia. Also I found two other mystery babies. (But, no way to post a picture on here for help.) Enjoyed seeing the new plants. 🌱🌱

The flower humidifiers work best in a small mason jar holds up the cord better hopefully that makes sense 😅

I purchased a calethea from home depot it kept declining. I put a little super thrive in it, it just wouldn't thrive. I returned it. Hoping yours grows well.
