  • Skeletal traction is one of the modalities of treatment for fractures involving upper and lower limbs and can be used as a temporary or definitive procedure in selected situations where surgery may be delayed, denied or contraindicated for various reasons.
    In this video we will discuss the various sites where skeletal traction can be applied for treatment of distal humerus fracture, supracondylar fracture, radius fracture, acetabular fracture, femur fracture, tibia fracture and calcaneus fracture.

    Hi! Thank you for the video. On the distal femoral traction the animation shows the pin being inserted from the lateral side

    You have elaborated about landmark for lateral entry of Distal femur pin traction but also had told that medial entry is preferred, if medial entry is preferred what is the exact entry site ?
