The judge handed this guy a slam dunk to get this overturned on appeal. This clearly violates the 8th amendment which protects against punishments that are cruel or unusual. This has been attempted by other states in past and have been overturned every time on appeal for that very reason. The judge and prosecutor that gave this plea deal are morons they don’t even realize what they did

I've heard of at least one case where that didn't work. Ped was castrated and found a way to diddle anyway. It's so much more than satisfying a physical urge. We should know that by now.

Other states have tried this and lost on appeal. There’s plenty of cases you can look up where this is tossed on appeal literally everytime. It violates the 8th amendment which protects people from cruel and unusual punishments for crimes. This prosecutor and judge just handed this guy a slam dunk to get this judgement overturned on appeal. Only idiot courts down south try this nonsense

It’s not enough
They need to be kept in their entire sentence. I’ve been watching that Louisiana parole board meetings for a long time now and they get released more than any other crime as long as they’ve taken the programs offered and haven’t had write ups in awhile (which they rarely do have write ups).
Some of the sentences are so upsetting. People with drug charges get more time in that state.
It’s like ruin a child and it’s nothing but get caught with drugs and you’re done
Someone commented on a video similar to this one that studies have shown that this did not stop the pedos. Apparently, it just adds anger into the mix and the offenders blame the victims and take it out on them. I haven't researched it yet though, just repeating someone else's comment.

This argument was so dumb. This prosecutor and judge just handed this guy a slam dunk on appeal for this cases to be thrown out. The plea deal is unenforceable since it clearly violates the 8th amendment of the constitution. How the court made this boneheaded error is ridiculous all they had to do was throw the guy in jail but they got ahead of themselves as well as the state legislature that passed this unconstitutional law which will be overturned in every state that attempts this. These guys really need to read the constitution

I read that the highest rate of recidivism is among those predators after they're released from jail. The judge found a way to stop that one's recidivism.

It’s about time the Judges start requiring the punishments equal the crimes committed! If more Judges did this, maybe crimes such as this will cease! This should have been a mandatory sentence in all 50 states a long time ago.
Only if a guilty plea is entered and only if the accused agrees. To make this a blanket law would subject many ppl falsely accused to castration
