Imagine if social security was privatized and went into the equivalent of a withdrawal restricted roth IRA. 12.5% of everyone's income automatically invested from the time a kid starts working. Every single working American would be a multi-millionaire at retirement. That wealth could be passed on generationally where social security can't.
Since I came across this channel last year, I have started investing in stocks. my friends laugh at me. but with the 10% I can save, I'm also happy about my retirement.Had contacted my bank and started there. I'm tired of hearing saving for retirement is the ultimate goal. I want to enjoy my money while I'm young and healthy. My dad died at 65 years old, and his first retirement check was used for his funeral expenses. Tomorrow is not gareteered. This is a dream not reality.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't save, there should be a balance, if you live long then how do you manage, since that time you don't have energy to earn, So to summarise enjoy and also save for future.

There are sooo many things people do that negatively impacts their lives that school never taught them. So to me there is no excuse that school never taught about how money works.
Public schools won't correct these problems, because if everyone was financially savvy our economy wouldn't grow so much or as fast. Consumer debt is a major component to our economy. Politicians want the majority of people in debt, because it is good for the stock market and gets them re-elected.

If school forced them to learn it, they'd have a negative reaction to it like all the other things we're forced to learn in public school. At my high school, most kids didn't pay attention in economics class & goofed off. It's like fitness, people just like to complain and make excuses, no accountability. It is up to the individual to put themselves in the best position they can. No one is going to save you & care about your best interests more than you.

I just recently bumped mine up to 10% of every paycheck & as soon as I get rid of my over priced truck, i'm gonna contribute some more hell if I lived somewhere other than LA County California & made the same amount of money I would probably bump it up to 50% of every paycheck...

Commerical (investor) real estate typically has higher interest rates than a home loan. I have my workaround though, I buy a home with a VA loan, live in it for a few years, then turn it into a rental property and buy another house. Secure lower rates and accumulate rentals.

My company matches 25% of whatever I invest. Should I invest still invest outside work or should I continue to save only at work? To me, it just makes sense to get guaranteed 25% on top of my average yearly rate of 10%
My dividend stock payments just get reinvested into those same companies to buy more of there stock, since I don't need or want that small bits of money right now, I am thinking long term, long game

In so many ways the worst is behind us. AKDMTTP does the EXACT right thing to turn around and everyone reacts already, whether that is big companies or just individuals its a global revolution and not to be missed. But I am just a guy commenting, you should make your own mind on this
When you invest your money in the stock market you can never see yourself moving head. I keep putting moneys into stocks. I don't see any process on the stock side o see the money I put in my own stock. I know choose a horrible stock mutual fund.
I think if someone produced some financial education curriculum for high school students they could sell a lot of it. At the bare minimum private schools would want it.
It’s a good daily reminder and encouragement for the newbies buried in debt. Once you are financially educated there isn’t that much new coming down the pike. But when you are first changing your behavior and aren’t surrounded by financially savvy people, daily encouragement and doses of reality are important. It’s like getting fit, going to the gym and staying motivated until you make it normal life can be tough without daily reminders of why you keep going. I watch when I am extreme mode for a new financial position.
It will take some time to understand how AKDMTTP is having the most impact in these times. After all the downswings and failures of last year it's about time that someone integrates assets into a useful scenario and that's exactly happening with this asset right now. I think you're confusing the value of the dollar vs the value of the asset...they are not the same. Devalue the dollar, the asset is worth more dollars but really it's just the "new value" based on the current dollar value.
I been studing up on Warren Buffett he is intetesting guy he save money on everything and pintch it, he use coupons even im like if he saves being that rich i can being poor .i just start saving not even a week ago im all ready almost at 1,000 soon im get coca- cola stocks and mc d,s stocks that and invest in lots of bank cds.

I’m no financial expert but most videos I’ve watched would suggest to pay the debt down since the 10% return is not greater than the 15% debt
