For the record, Marvin's hasn't been closed for decades. It was still open as late as 2018 and then the owner's health deteriorated and he quit coming in. He just passed away within the last week or so. RIP Marvin Gilreath.
Thank you so much for this information!!! RIP Marvin Gilreath!!! We will pray that everything goes to people that will continue to cherish all of your interesting items!!! Lastly, I am positive that you are and always will be missed along with your stores!!! I was hoping to hear that a family member could have continued on with your amazing legacy....BLESS YOU Always Marvin!!!
Yes very true indeed, but for several years he did not sell things or at least did not want to lol also he sold the building a couple of years ago after letting it sit and taking in all that he could, trust me I know I have been finding everything and anything....by the way let's get together, I believe you would want to see my Dolly Parton items ;). Hope your well Richard Leo LaMotte
The store signs hung above the outside of both stores alone are "GOLD" I hope that they go to a good home!!! I truly enjoyed this video...thanks again Jordan, WE LOVE YOU!!!
Jordan, what a find...there's so much "GOLD" there!!! It's going to be hard to leave isn't it!! What is the story about these two stores?! Was it family owned, did a owner pass and perhaps no family to take over?! Well, whoever owned these stores they really loved what they did as everything is placed with love and care!!!
You struck gold Jordan!!! How Awesome is this !!!!!! So much fun watching all the treasures from another time you came upon there!! Love it, Safe Travels and Thank you for sharing this with all of us ! Tennessee says keep on, ⚡️ TCB⚡️✌️🇺🇸😇
its like going back in time to the great 90s . before the damn internet. no spotify, apple music . just a great record store selling vinyl and physical media products like VHS ; cassetes etc 😊
The leather bracelets were popular in the 1970s. I used to have one with my name on it, probably got it from a booth at a fair or festival of some kind, like the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival.
💯% ..WHAT A BIG LOST OF SUCH GREAT HISTORY.. ESPECIALLY TOO THE YOUNGER GENERATION. FOR THEM IT'S SCREEN TIME. FOR US THE EXPERIENCE OF THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF PAST. HOW ENJOYABLE THIS TREASURE IS, BUT SO SAD SOMEONE JUST LEFT IT 2 ROT😢. THANK YOU FOR SHARING ☺️ HAVE A BLESSED DAY ❤️
I felt like a kid in a candy store watching you go through this amazing store!!! The sealed Elvis 8-tracks were amazing, especially the mail-off one you would send 25 cents in and receive an 8-track, that one blew my mind! My first time seeing your content, and I’m already hooked 👍🏼
NO! I DID NOT FULFILL MY CURIOSITY!… you just shook it like a baby LOL. As a vinyl record guy that loves to dig, I was salivating! I’d probably still be digging there. Thanks for sharing!!
What the person was saying about the little mermaid VHS is mostly true. Except for it being collectible and valuable. Over 5 million copies were sold before they changed the case artwork. So it's only worth maybe double of the updated version. Which is like maybe $5.
Been into several shops like this we need thrift shops such cool places filled with memories we have several in the town i live in luckily. This reminds me of a shop i used to go to when i was a kid became close with owner over the years shop is closed now but still full of stuff hoping i get to go in there one more time..
Thank you for sharing this video...I probably would have spent a day looking thru all those records thats for sure..Im a sucker for 45s thats for sure.Take care
Those stores had a lot of cool stuff left behind. Quite a few antique and vintage items that should bring a good price. Wanted to watch the whole video but dude I just couldn't take it anymore. When you get the privilege of being able to explore a site like that I always feel like if you knock something down, open it, or manhandle an item in anyway that you should have respect and pick it up, close it up and put it back. Sorry but thanks for a cool exploration.
these old stores has so much history just lying around. those item needs to put back into the public to enjoy. speaking of enjoying, how can a person getting all those Elvis items.
I have that Little mermaid VHS tape cover! The tape belonged to my daughter from years ago. I was going to go give it to the Goodwill. I also used to make leather bracelets like those you showed at the end with names and flowers.
I am still trying to put my name out there to anyone who will listen that if they ever hear of someone getting rid of records that I’m interested and to contact me or have them contact me and one day someone somewhere will contact me to buy their collection and to look through out of businesses places still filled with inventory. Obviously I’m not gonna “put my name out” in this setting because you guys want the goods as much as me, and my friends that’s pretty rad, the enjoyment of a thing is largely in part by how much it is shared by others in enjoyment, so I bid you all good luck, and God Speed. Amen. Anthony
One man's trash is another man's treasure. Lots of cool stuff but condition is everything to a real collector. A lot of vinyl Lps will collect dirt, mold and dust that will ruin the album. It's a shame to let all that stuff go to waste.
Jordan, Let me start off by saying I love your channel. I have been a fan for over 6-7 years? I sent a comment before but no response. Hopefully, you"ll hit me back! I love this record store! I see so much stuff I like! Please let me know how I can reach them! Thank you and God bless!

I'd put on a pair of gloves & be digging in there all day. I can guarantee there is some gold amongst all that vinyl ! Cool place.
I still cannot believe that vinyl is making a comeback and that you can actually buy limited special editions of certain albums.
You'd be digging for things you don't own? You think it's a free for all? It's not
I loved this. My sister and I used to go with my grandfather to clear out houses. Every few years he would have an auction. Great memories.
The store signs hung above the outside of both stores alone are "GOLD" I hope that they go to a good home!!! I truly enjoyed this video...thanks again Jordan, WE LOVE YOU!!!
Marvin was a wonderful person always good to me. I knew him since I was 5 years old. He was an incredible friend God bless Marvin.

None of it was true. It was a complete accident, according to Scopes. But people will believe what they want.
But veins and everything! 🤪
How fun is that??? To be able to rummage around inside there would be really cool!

Hi Jordan. Been awhile since i've been here. Hope to come back.~~~~Sherry.
Anyone else still buy and watch VHS tapes?
Yes, I guess they are making a comeback..
@@DazewithJordantheLion That's awesome. I knew I wasn't the only one!
I have tons and tons lol @@ChoctawNawtic4
If you know what was not released on DVD or on streaming, those VHS tapes can go for a decent amount, as long as they’re playable.
Looked like a hoarders paradise. Jordan made the best of mostly junk..
Oh man. What a dream. I'd love to dig through a place like that. I mean, my wife would kill me, but it would be worth it! lol
Where is this store and when is the estate sale? I definitely want to come get me some old Elvis records for my record player
Aqua Rios is my favorite astrological sign.
these old stores has so much history just lying around. those item needs to put back into the public to enjoy. speaking of enjoying, how can a person getting all those Elvis items.

You're insane if you didn't make an offer on some of that stuff. You kept saying "old"; the proper term is "vintage".
