Book is better
They ruined the ending so much by making her forget. They haven’t even been happy for more than 1 episode, season 2 they thought they were brother and sister. Season 3 they just became happy then Jonathan ruined it and then the angels ruined it by taking her memories away. When all she was doing was helping the world by killing Jonathan. They took them away just as they were starting to become happy. While every other character got a happy ending.
they did that so that if the show ever got picked up, they would have a plot for the next season:)
They messed up the series pretty bad. I can't ever watch the show again without becoming heartbroken. I can barely read the books either even tho I know the real truth. Some things they did the show I was okay with even tho it was different in the books like clarys mom for example, but the ending? The ending was extremely heartbreaking
if they do end up making a new season. cuz im still hoping they will. i hope that the angels will see that they cant change the love they have, and will make clary a shadowhunter again and give her memories back.

I'm totally fine with the show having to end someday but the ending we got was really heartbreaking, after all they've been through it isn't enough. Im desperately hoping that the #saveshadowhunters project will succeed. Clace deserve some hapiness and us, fans, deserve a happy ending.

Inlovewithtoomany Boybands I read the books and watched the show. Cried at both endings even though they were different. The books just took someone else’s memories away (not gonna day unless you ask). The shows was unsatisfying though because the person got all their memories back in the end of the books. THEN THE BOOKS GO ON TO 5 YEARS LATER. And also like 150 years before but that doesn’t matter. The show was actually really great and went its own path at some point. I quite enjoyed it 😊.

I cried!!!!! Can't believe it is over. I forgot yesterday that the show ended and I was checking to make sure that I had my TV set to record it and when I checked I then remembered that this fantastic show, that has brought me so much joy these past three years, is over.

Anyone else notice how their runes changed colours? Earlier seasons they were like a brown red colour and by the end they were a solid black

I honestly love these two so much only started watching shadow hunters a few days ago and finished the final today and it honestly broke my heart. I know a season 5 will probably never happen but I pray and hope that clary remembers her memories again 🤧😭

Their love story is so depressing, heartbreaking, and complicated. They found each other, fell in love, thought they were siblings so they broke up, then they found out they weren't siblings all along so they got back together, then Clary just loses her memories, but then she remembers Jace, but the show had to end so we don't know what their love story has become. Like how depressing can their story get? 🥲

I love this I feel like clary only remembered his name and when she saw that tattoo it was like by the way she looked at it like she seen it before but she can't put her finger on where though I don't think she remembers everything at this moment but I actually like the idea of them falling in love again and getting to know each other but that could be just me

God! Everyone complaining about the ending. Just read he books if you want a better ending (and story)
their story is one of the best things ever. (just like it says in the books if you have read the dark artifices series) it is a monumental thing to me and it will always annoy me about how they ended it. i don't get how the show got less and less of an audience because it only got better. their relationship only got better. the ending was not fair as all the other couples got their happy ending and then Clary has to forget. just like jace says in the last episode that there is no one else for him. it is literally breaking my heart every day with this thought that we will never know what their ending will be like in the show as it is very different from the books. but before you say anything i like they changed it from the books as it gives it a different view of how it could have been and also if it went by the books it would cost a lot more.love you Shadowhunters #Clace #saveshadowhunters (yes am writing this in 2022 because i still have hope. very small amount but it is still there)

Thank you for summing you the series version for me. I couldn’t stick with it. Too many unnecessary changes for me. But I wanted to see what became of this couple, even if they aren’t the Clary and Jace I read about.
In the books do the have a happy ending , I’m thinking of buying them because many have said about them being way better than the film.
