I love the scene when he comes to save her, and would literally do anything to protect her, and then rides off with her beauty with this song! I am so upset that it turns out in the story, all of it was staged by him to gain her trust. Hired the bandits, paid them off, and later killed him with his own motive. Ugh! I really wanted them to be together, but I knew it was selfish, and would not stand watching it which still makes me feel sick and anxious! If only the ending could be different. My heart broke in his backstory.

THERE ARE SPOILERS. I love this video, I can't stop watching it, it's very well done and the song chosen by whoever made it matched perfectly with each scene. I love the great chemistry between Alina and The Darkling. And I have a conflict because even though I know he's not good for her, I love them together. But I must admit that despite the fact that he feels strong things for her, he does not stop manipulating and lying to her since he uses her for his own benefit because he does not tell her the truth when he asserts that he wants to destroy The Fold when it is the opposite. Maybe wants the Grisha not to disappear but he doesn't hesitate to kill or mistreat any of them if they don't agree with his idea of doing things. And without a doubt he wants to be the most powerful in Ravka if not in the world and if he has to slaughter people he does it without hesitation. The Darkling loves Alina (in his own way) and needs her power but at the same time he wants her for himself and he doesn't mind killing anyone who gets in his way. It is very likely that in the third season they could have something or somehow end up together because the power that she now has is the same as he had. In the books Alina marries Mal but how they made so many changes here is uncertain. The Darkling resurrects in the first book of Nikolai's Duology called King of Scars (and we realize that this is going to happen in the series because of the bee that lands on Zoya's shoulder at his cremation) but not in the same body though I hope the show's writers somehow make Ben the one to continue doing this great character because he does it amazingly and because of the chemistry he has with Jessie on screen.
