I normally cut off the weapon with an xacto blade just so I can preserve extra bits.

He looks great! Really wish nearly all salamanders kitbash didn't consume a $42 single mini kit. It'd be nice if GW would give us some more salamanders-y stuff to use.

Can I find a painting tutorial anywhere? The glow around the head is very convincing and something I've always wanted to achieve. Great conversion and the paint looked nice from what was shown briefly in the beginning.
Thanks for the videos. Always super crisp.

Love the video. I might do something similar for a kitbashed Captain in Gravis Armor.

Final result looks amazing! How did you get the glow effect inside the head guard ?

Great kitbash! Always awesome to see more varied content like this, even though it might not be everyone's cup of tea it really takes me back to my start into the hobby.

Damn, i ended up with an Adrax sprue and decided to repurpose the hammer to a salamander Cataphractii. Wish I had thought of this,

Even though I would call myself reasonably experienced when it comes to pinning, I still take stuff away from this video:
    - drill from both sides to prevent having the exit in the wrong spot/angle (how have I not though about this before?!?)
    - the more the angle matters (like with weapons) the more room you should give yourself by using a smaller diameter pin compared to the whole you drilled
