Love that ya'll let Cleeter run some laps in a late model. It'd be fantastic if you guys got him into dirt trackin. I have been subbed to both your channels for a couple years now. What a perfect collaberation.
I wanna see all the TH-cam dirt track guys that I watch together sometime. Chase Holland, Zack Johnson, old number 7 garage Tim Nash and all the HTF guys together. I would not miss that race for anything. It's amazing what these guys are doing for the dirt track racing world. Blowing it up
I started watching these guys around a year ago and I will only stop if they stop making them. They all seem like good guys and I love racing and family and I think they are the same. I didn’t really watch a lot of dirt racing until I started watching Hunt the Front.
The Dale engine definitely needed valve springs we ran sb2 engines in 2006-10 and when you hear that top end flutter it was time . I heard the flutter first night in practice that was smart call Joseph on the springs and good luck this weekend . HTF
Registered for prize pack, check. Awesome engine swap guys. Man ya'll are on point son. So proud of our HTF team. Watched some good racing last night on XR. And counting down the mins for some more tonight. Good luck to ya'll.
FYI - We had some shirts made up just for our folks with the HTF #10 car and our logos and whatnot. They won't be available anywhere but through this drawing (or if we hire you!). Good luck!
Yes sir just got home from work now I got me another htf video life couldn’t get know better thank y’all and now we getting the other new motor out of the cabinet let’s go racing boys
+ Wow, this has to be my favorite HTF presentation to date. This to me is what HTF is all about and why I am a patron. Round 3 at Bristol, Faithful with a brand new motor. I am pumped, go get em.
It blows me away. It seems like yesterday that you were racing out of your little two car garage on the weekends and now you’re spending over a week swapping high$ motors in the parking lot of Bristol and racing in 4 high $ races. Here’s to keeping your legs moving boys!
Love watching you guys I'm from Crestview FL... great to see hometown boy's grow... wish I could afford ur merch but on disability and can't race myself anymore
Ole faithful sounding good. Think ole faithful is gonna get the job done this weekend, shake er down good on Thursday. Come Friday , let the big Dawg eat, and HTF! Good luck fellas. 🏁🏁🏁
I'm glad you said you "Hoped" to be competitive. It seemed for a while that Joey had the only realistic expectations about his racing effort against the "pro" teams. Most of your "bleacher filler" fans don't realize what it takes logistically to be competitive on a professional level. But you're learning, so keep digging.
Wow you guys are in Tennessee I am in Maine and it's warmer here than there crazy weather we're having hopefully this engine works out for you Joseph we're rooting for you thanks for sharing this one with us very unexpected
This is just a suggestion while you're changing gear instead of putting the cover in the pan or holding it just take the cover off and hang it on the two studs to the left or to the right then you won't have to worry about getting dirt on it Good luck
I run the tow truck at our local track up here in Iowa. If I was even remotely close to Bristol I would've gladly lent my truck to help swap motors. Good luck going to the other car!
Pulling for you All Joseph, Here's your girl you so dearly Love.. Let her eat and bring it home with that huge pay day...smash the gas and don't be afraid to adjust to the track.. Your a good driver. Believe in You..
The old Chevrolet Power Manual from the 70's and 80's said 36 degrees maximum advance for all types of racing. Without vacuum advance. I used to mess around with the springs and weights a lot. It made a big difference and was a lot of fun. The "evil scheme" is exactly the right thing. Hammer down Joseph. Good luck HTF!
Small blocks back then were 350 cu in and had maybe 11 to 1 compression ratio. These are 430+ cu in and probably 13 to 1 comp ratio. Different timing requirements.
@@gailtaylor1636 That engine was a 283 bored 30 over with 11.25:1 TRW pistons, Holley 650 spread bore double pumper on a Edelbrock Corvette manifold steel crank 327 camelback heads. I ran it on 100 octane low lead and Amoco unleaded 93 mix to about 96 octane. Ran great at 36 degrees.
@@ralphwatten2426 lol for you to compare a junk 283 to a 465ci SB2 13:1 compression putting 890 hp motor . Your motor has no thing in common with that thing you had. And the motor builder will tell the range the motor needs timing wise.
Good luck boys. Both cars sound really good and I'm hoping for a HTF victory at Bristol. You guys are awesome keep up the amazing work y'all do. Hopefully I get a chance to come see y'all when we move back east.
Gotta say the beautiful ladies deserve a trip to the mountains cause they work just as hard as you guys do taking care of the kiddos and the merchandise trailer. Good luck this coming weekend. Keep up the great videos
I bet when you posted that 1st video you would have never thought you'd soon be posting videos from Bristol using your stacker lift gate to swap motors in your "backup" Capitol race car! Great things come to great people who work hard for it! Good luck this week! Maybe you guys can give me a great Birthday present this Saturday by posting your best finish yet at Bristol!
When Race Tech has your engine on the dyno.. have them check your timing light with your engine so you know it's correct.. maybe you already do that.. great episode! Family vacation
Well theirs nothing wrong with having two bullets in the gun and hopefully faithful is up for the task and y’all can conquer Bristol this weekend. I’ll be sending my prayers for y’all so good luck 🍀 and I’ll be watching on raceXR 🙏❤️🏁🍀🏆
Hey guys, I hope the fresh motor is what you need and will fix the issues. An idea that we do around the tracks we run is if we are having problems figuring an issue out, we have folks that we know can drive, and we will let someone else take it out for a few laps and give us some feedback. Not sure if Bristol will let you do that, but if you are still struggling, it would be worth a shot! Good luck!
It must be cool meeting another youtuber. Sounds like a good idea for putting the sb2 in old faithful. Won't know until you try, and it might work better than expected. Stay safe!
Never in my wildest dreams would 2 of my favorite TH-camrs be seen in each other’s channel this is huge you guys need to go do a podcast with Zack on off the husk
Cleeter sent me. Stated for the real man accents. How do you make them sound so like the late 80s NASCARs? I heard its a combo of crossover plus boom tube but I can't see a crossover.. looks straight out Also what size are the front tyres and the rear tyres?
Each side of the engine runs out separate there's no crossover pipe. They do have a muffler and that's in quotes LOL but that's the sound of a good Chevrolet engine.. the front track is wider than the back and that's for handling purpose and a lot of weight is transferred to the right front when going to turns I don't know the exact size tires that running or compounds. Hope this helps God bless. Enough said..
Hoosier DLM tires come in 2 sizes physically 11x28.5x15 and the same in a 29.5 but the name of the game in oval racing is stagger, the difference in circumference. Stagger and setup help with the car turning
Best of luck boys. Definitely a track I need to get to. Remember show me 100 is on Memorial Day weekend in wheatland mo hint hint. Lol. Would love to watch u guys there
I'm glad to see you pulled old Faithful. Out and do the engine change along with other things it's to bad that you'll waited this long but I feel things are gonna work out better, in the near future if you'll plan on doing regular racing with Lucas Oil super late models you'll look into getting a professional crew chief that can keep track of what car does what an it's recorded into a computer so you'll know pretty much what set ups you need for all the tracks you run. Good Luck
You need to big pad that gos on the ground to put the car on , it is the one that chase Holland racing uses, they stack it to the ground with big screws in the ground , nice thanks BigAl.

He impressed the hell out of me, and I’m not alone. Ran that car hard on a track that eats cars.
JEEZ MY GRANDMOTHER could drive dirt better then that
@@CORNDODGER You ARE consistent.

Good move, I like it! “Ole Faithful “ does like more power.. that’s why they call it “ hunt the front “.. best of luck fella’s

Cleetus runs a few 17's, and Joseph got to thinking ol' faithful might have a little magic in her! Good luck you guys, I pray nothing gets hurt.
Joseph ran a 15.8 the other night in Betty, but the racetek SB2 definitely had more power than the other
That was my first thought as well… Cletus running 17 with the draime…. (The expression I saw on Joseph’s face) Joseph may have been thinking hummmm
I live a few miles north of Bristol and we got a big storm earlier today so it’ll be interesting to see how the track responds to that.
Reminds me of Daytona back in the 60’s pulling engines and installing different ones looking to go faster only thing chain fall with rafters
Nice Zack appearance. Great video guys.
Been here since 20k. Make sure you take care of Jordan, he seems like a good shit.
I called it first on the valve springs.... Finally 1st at something this year 😂😂😂....
