I love beading! It is def a meditation...proud Metis! Descendent of Anishinaabe/French fur trader, Scots/Cree traders, & French/Mi'kmaq...still filling in those blanks that became only rumors by my dad's time..I'm glad I now know who, & where...was surprised to find so much early Canadian/indigenous in my background...I'm an American...

Autumn Lheureux I just now found this. I am from the LCO rez in northern Wisconsin. 27 % Ojibwa.....Anishinaabe. My grandfather's parents were French-Canadian-Ojibwa. Grandmother was from France. (this was Mom's side) Dad's grandfather was white but, Grandmother Mary was full Ojibwa. So glad I came across this, very interesting. Hope you find out more of your family.

Thank you for doing this video. Love it! As a traditional beader, I encourage younger people to learn our art :-)

I love the Historic Park. I'm just amazed to see a video on Métis beadwork being made in my hometown.

Why put quotations like that? And also, parallel traditions exist it seems like. Not one or the other.
