Hi Ryan! This is how you do a Tim Tam Slam. Bite a corner off the Tim Tam (not too much - just enough to expose the soft chocolate in the middle), and then do the same thing to the corner on the other end of the biscuit, diagonal from your first bite. Then hold one of the exposed ends in a hot coffee or milo, and suck the coffee/milo through the other exposed end (like a straw). Then before it disintegrates in your hand, stuff the whole biscuit in your mouth (that's the 'slam'). Enjoy!
We'd love to see you try it in a video, too! 😃

The melty gooey bit that’s leftover after you suck the hot coffee through the tim tam is the good bit that you have to slam into your mouth before it goes everywhere.
Bite smaller bits off diagonally opposite corners of the Tim Tam and then use it like a straw for hot coffee or tea…

Haha I can't stop giggling with all of it. Violet Crumble slam lol. We weren't pranking you with the Tim Tam slam. You can use any hot drink, hot english breakfast tea (not a herbal tea or cold tea), good coffee or hot chocolate. Bite off the top right corner. Then bite off the bottom left hand corner. Dip the bottom corner of the Tim Tam in the drink and suck the drink thru the top corner like a straw. As soon as you taste the drink put the whole Tim Tam in your mouth...Voila!! Personally I like a Tim Tam slam with hot tea or hot chocolate. Your facial expressions crack me up. Especially the big eyes, coinciding with the reverse head movement!! As a footnote the Apricot fruit balls you love (Fruchocs) are pronounced, Froo-chocs. That butter and vegemite on toast gets the Australian approval, it looked perfect :) . Do you have crumpets there?.. its very yummy like that with the butter and vegemite on a hot toasted crumpet.
Another way we like vegemite is with melted cheese on toast. Slice the cheese and put on the toast then spread this super lightly with vegemite (even lighter than you had on that toast) then melt the cheese. Then wipe it around on the toast while in melted state so the vegemite which was on the melted cheese is even.

Ryan, congratulations and thank you, we really enjoy your videos. I was reflecting on the channel, and thinking back to your first "Happy arvo", which no one in Australia said, but now you have added it to the language and we love to hear it. They should have given you TT Slam instructions. Cadbury's is different mix in each country. Yours is made by Hersheys and has more sugar and much less cocoa butter - there was a petition going around a few years ago to remove the ban H has on imported Cadburys. A chocalatier friend told me that our milk makes a difference, it is apparently a bit sweeter so not as much sugar is needed. The sugar affects the texture, less smooth. Try the Caramello with the coffee (not a slam) and the Vegemite toast too. We mix a *tiny* bit of V through kiddie vegetables, especially mashed potato /sweet potato/pumpkin (our pumpkins are very different to yours). Nooooo, don't dip the Arnott's biscuits in coffee, ruins their own flavour, especially the Monte Carlo (first one you tried). Have the chips with a sip of soda after every few and you refresh your mouth for the next lot. Cheers!

I'm sure there will be many others chiming in with their two cents worth, but here are the full instructions. Bite a very small piece (less than 1/2 inch) off from diagonally opposite corners - don't take the whole end off. Dip one bitten off corner into the coffee (or hot milo or tea), put the opposite corner in your mouth and suck until the liquid hits your mouth. Immediately tilt your head back and drop the entire biscuit into your mouth. The whole thing will melt instantly and just about explode with chocolatey biscuity goodness. So good!!

Violet crumble is different because the honeycomb is made from real honey. Other honeycomb is normally made with sugar. Or in the case of us honeycomb it is made from corn syrup. Violet crumble is made so the centre is ever so slightly moister and that's why it has a deeper golden colour in the middle.

Cadbury in Australia is only second to Cadbury in the United Kingdom. Cadbury Australia has to change the recipe slightly to stop the chocolate melting so quickly in our warm Summers. I would know because I'm English and I've lived in Australia for decades, so I have tried them both.

9:00 Like most Americans, you've either only been given half the information, or completely misunderstood, or ignored the instructions.
That was NOT a Tim Tam Slam. That was a Tim Tam SUCK. You didn't perform the SLAM part, which is where you slam the entire Tim Tam into your mouth just before it liquifies into your hands and makes a mess.
To correctly perform a Tim Tam Slam, first bite a small corner from two opposing ends of the Tim Tam, then dip one corner into your hot beverage, and suck the beverage through the other corner. As the molecular integrity of the Tim Tam starts to collapse, quickly Slam the entire Tim Tam into your mouth just as it starts to liquify. It will then continue to liquify inside your mouth, thus coating the inside of your mouth in completely melted Tim Tam goodness.

  • @WatchingDude

A small recommended dose of Vegemite will provide you with anything from 25 to 50% of your daily requirements of all the types of vitamin B. Because it's so salty you don't need very much but even though you eat very little you still get a lot of vitamin B.

As an Aussie whos been eating all these things for decades, my very subjective opinion is that you got them almost perfect. I agree with you about the wagon wheels. They do nothing for me, even though I love chocolatey things. The Arnott's creams actually go better with tea, but you have to dip them until they almost fall apart. ( And they often fall into the cup of tea, to be eaten when you drink the last of the tea.)
