Hi Ryan! This is how you do a Tim Tam Slam. Bite a corner off the Tim Tam (not too much - just enough to expose the soft chocolate in the middle), and then do the same thing to the corner on the other end of the biscuit, diagonal from your first bite. Then hold one of the exposed ends in a hot coffee or milo, and suck the coffee/milo through the other exposed end (like a straw). Then before it disintegrates in your hand, stuff the whole biscuit in your mouth (that's the 'slam'). Enjoy! We'd love to see you try it in a video, too! 😃

I've seen a lot of Americans trying Vegemite, and you are the only person I've seen that has spread the perfect amount on toast, or close to it anyway. Well done. Just remembered this weird thing. I was told to try a teaspoon of Vegemite in hot water, (like having a coffee or tea) and it's surprisingly good. Sounds weird but try it people.

Dip the bottom corner of the Tim Tam in the drink and suck the drink thru the top corner like a straw. As soon as you taste the drink put the whole Tim Tam in your mouth...Voila!! Personally I like a Tim Tam slam with hot tea or hot chocolate. Your facial expressions crack me up. Especially the big eyes, coinciding with the reverse head movement!! Crimped means pinched, so Chicken Crimpies are pinched around the edges forming a scalloped edge. You also see crimps on electrical wiring where the wire it attached to a power source and the metal crimps hold it securely.

Sorry but I damn near pissed myself laughing watching you try to do a Tim Tam Slam, when it melted in your hand. It is supposed to melt! That's the whole idea! I'm sure there will be many others chiming in with their two cents worth, but here are the full instructions. Bite a very small piece (less than 1/2 inch) off from diagonally opposite corners - don't take the whole end off. Dip one bitten off corner into the coffee (or hot milo or tea), put the opposite corner in your mouth and suck until the liquid hits your mouth. Immediately tilt your head back and drop the entire biscuit into your mouth. The whole thing will melt instantly and just about explode with chocolatey biscuity goodness. So good!!
Love your graph, I think it would be great for you to taste and learn about our food by state. I am sure you will be sent products to try. Tasmania would be a great place to start. Love your content because your genuine and easy to watch. Happy Christmas to your family.
The Tim Tam Slam. Bite the corner off and then the diagonally opposite corner. Dip the Tim Tam into the coffe and use it like a straw. When the coffee comes through, pop the whole Tim Tam into your mouth. It's the only way to eat Tim Tams.
If you open my package, it has instructions on how to do a Tim Tam Slam - that says to eat it fast! You kind of messed that up. Dunking Violet Crumble is not a good idea - the honeycomb dissolves in the coffee.
Loved the ratings. One way to stop the cracker flavour from being overwhelming is to wash them down with a beer or wine.. just saying... Looking forward to the next unboxing and tasting.
Violet crumble is different because the honeycomb is made from real honey. Other honeycomb is normally made with sugar. Or in the case of us honeycomb it is made from corn syrup. Violet crumble is made so the centre is ever so slightly moister and that's why it has a deeper golden colour in the middle.
Someone was pranking you. You don’t dip violet crumbles or the assorted cream biscuits in coffee. If you try them without the coffee, you will like them better.
Congrats on getting sponsorship. your channel is rather fun, in an American sort of way. Vegemite does tend to grow on you, but I agree, it is a aquired taste.
Cadbury in Australia is only second to Cadbury in the United Kingdom. Cadbury Australia has to change the recipe slightly to stop the chocolate melting so quickly in our warm Summers. I would know because I'm English and I've lived in Australia for decades, so I have tried them both.
Yes and UK Cadbury use Palm oil and also more salt than Aussie Cadbury. As such I think Aussie Cadbury is better. We also use Tasmanian milk which is known for it a creaminess.
No thankyou, the melted chocolate is part of the Australian experience. Order your chocolate online, if you dont like it 🤣. Your comments are criminal. Leave our chocolate alone.
Ryan, thank you so much for making me laugh...I really need it...watching you trying to drink coffee through a violet crumble was just so hilarious 🤣🎄🎅🇦🇺🐨...I just checked and we have cheetos and have added them to my shopping list
3:20 bro u really gonna fuck up if u wet that chocolate bar 😂 growing up we used to not want it to get wet from saliva because it would turn into a tooth breaking rock😂
One of the Arnott's Creams you didn't try was the Kingston, they're like a really crumbly cookie with a sugary-chocolate filling. Those are the good ones, I have two packs of them I'm saving in my cupboard while I'm losing weight. I saw someone mentioned it on your stream but you didn't believe them but there is a Vegemite and Cheese flavour of Shapes. Hopefully someone sends you a pack of them because they're good.
I love Vegemite but have hated almost every weird or even normal combo they’ve tried to implement but those Vegemite shapes are good. The taste like Saladas spread with Vegemite - which is one of my favourite snacks.
@@dizzyallison6520 vegemite worms 😜.... seriously don't americans know how to dunk bikkies properly, this was kind of getting to me how he was dunking!
9:02 when you suck the coffee through the tim tam you are suppose to put in your mouth straight away so it melts in your mouth instantly you can do it with other chocolate biscuits as well .
You should try making some cheese and vegemite scrolls. Roll out some basic scone dough, lightly spread some vegemite over it all, sprinkle lots of grated cheese on it then roll it up like a pinwheel and cut into round slices. Place individual pinwheels on a baking tray and bake until cooked.
Chicken twisties and pizza shapes are bomb and you can’t beat a piece of toast with Vegemite with plenty of butter and not to much Vegemite! As for the violet crumble that was hilarious I’ve never seen someone do that with one 🤣🤣🤣
You shouldn't worry about what others think. This is your taste test. In my opinion, the Cherry Ripe belongs not on the board, but the bin! But that's just me. (I like Turkish Delight, lots think they taste like poison....)
@@serenepeacefulrelaxingmusi3874 I love Cherry Ripe, but very meh on the Turkish Delight. I'd rather get Turkish delight without the chocolate like I can get from places i get HSP from often. The Cadbury Turkish delight seems so meh in comparison, and the chocolate they use for it always seems so weak to me. My mum loves the Cadbury Turkish delight though, that and the Dream. More Cherry Ripe for me lol
TimTam Slam - Bite both ends off the TimTam then suck coffee through the filling (filling melts from the heat) when the filling is extracted the 2 biscuits inside SLAM together.
Peanut butter spread into the groove of a celery stick, a sausage roll on a bread roll, vegemite and butter between 2 sao biscuits, prawn sandwich, banana sandwich with sugar. Vanilla slice.
9:00 Like most Americans, you've either only been given half the information, or completely misunderstood, or ignored the instructions. That was NOT a Tim Tam Slam. That was a Tim Tam SUCK. You didn't perform the SLAM part, which is where you slam the entire Tim Tam into your mouth just before it liquifies into your hands and makes a mess. To correctly perform a Tim Tam Slam, first bite a small corner from two opposing ends of the Tim Tam, then dip one corner into your hot beverage, and suck the beverage through the other corner. As the molecular integrity of the Tim Tam starts to collapse, quickly Slam the entire Tim Tam into your mouth just as it starts to liquify. It will then continue to liquify inside your mouth, thus coating the inside of your mouth in completely melted Tim Tam goodness.
A small recommended dose of Vegemite will provide you with anything from 25 to 50% of your daily requirements of all the types of vitamin B. Because it's so salty you don't need very much but even though you eat very little you still get a lot of vitamin B.
Ryan, I'm impressed with your reaction to Vegemite. Most people from other countries can't stand it but to be in you 'S Tier"! , mate there's gotta be an expectation for you to want to eat that most mornings for breakfast like us aussies. Either way, you're a rare yank but good on ya!
As an Aussie whos been eating all these things for decades, my very subjective opinion is that you got them almost perfect. I agree with you about the wagon wheels. They do nothing for me, even though I love chocolatey things. The Arnott's creams actually go better with tea, but you have to dip them until they almost fall apart. ( And they often fall into the cup of tea, to be eaten when you drink the last of the tea.)
Freddo frogs come in variety of flavours including Dairy Milk, white chocolate, rice crisp, strawberry, peppermint, "Rainbow Crunch" and "Top Deck", while the Caramello Koala has only a caramel centre. Neither is dunked or combined with coffee.
Not all the biscuits are for dipping in coffee lol.. The sweet biscuits - Iced Vovo's and the other biscuits are better with a cup of cold milk, not coffee. The cracker biscuits are great when eaten with a Dip like French Onion dip etc.. Cheers 🙂
The iced vovo and Arnott's cream assortments were made back before coffee became popular in Australia. As such, they go better with tea, than they do with coffee. As for WagonWheels, I completely agree, you either like them or not.
I’ve always loved the pre-stale taste of a Wagon Wheel. Does anyone remember when they use to sell them at milk bars? They sold them in open branded paper bags.

@@MsAvailableNAme Hubby and I are from Europe so we do a traditional turkey/glazed ham/Christmas pud etc so you better make it Christmas Eve.... that's when we do it Aussie style with the seafood buffet, fruit & cheese boards etc. I can't decide which is yummier... so we do both lol
@@catherina2611 sounds delish! Enjoy your Christmas 😊
Ryan, I love how you go from - “you guys don’t do that” to “it’s melting” to “it actually tastes really good melted”. It’s hilarious to watch.
Carmel is a ladies name, Caramel is a flavour
Thank god you made the vegemite toast perfectly. Sad that unless you come over here, you won’t get to try a vegemite scroll from the supermarket 😂. There are recipes though!
Merry Christmas Ryan, hope you love our food🇦🇺
Atlas VPN is a great sponsor. You will do well having them onboard.
This is why Aussie taste tests are best done live, so we can guide you!
The vegemite is full of vitamin B which boosts the immune system. Really good first thing in the morning on crumpets.
You crack me up. 🤣🤪😂
Merry Xmas

😂 you put a smile on my face! Thanks 😊
Vegemite goes great with cheese and is very high in Vitamin B. I have it for breakfast every morning.
I remember giving it to my babies when they started eating solids( Just tiny amounts ). They loved it and I was happy as it is considered a healthy food
Throw a fried egg on top as well
toast the bread, slather in butter, smidge of vegemite slice or two of tomato, them top with (oh here you might have trouble, american cheese is different), but if you can get a good quality cheddar ... top with cheddar cheese & put under the grill (grilled cheese) till bubbling & just getting toasty on top of the cheese!
Finish with finishing salt & cracked pepper!
I do remember different varieties of Cheetos when I was a little girl in the 80's. But only one variety worked it's way into our Aussie taste buds and you guys don't seem to have them. They're Cheetos Cheese And Bacon Balls. We don't have your Cheese Balls, we have them instead. We have Pringles but not Pizza ones. You don't have to like everything, nobody does we won't reject you, you're still an Honorary Aussie.
We also have cheese puffs and the flaming hot cheese puffs.
Crimped means pinched, so Chicken Crimpies are pinched around the edges forming a scalloped edge. You also see crimps on electrical wiring where the wire it attached to a power source and the metal crimps hold it securely.
Congrats on sponsor, well deserved. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you & family.
The cheese is real cheddar on the cheezles. We have just had a series called snackmasters competition between chefs to see who can crack the snack
Congratulations on your first sponsorship!! Keep it up, the last time one of my TH-camrs got their first sponsorship hit 1M subs in the next few years - you go Ryan!!
Try Vegemite and Avocado on toast delicious
So good!!
That attempt of a Tim Tam slam was BLASPHEMY. It was like watching a new born giraff trying to walk. 👀
You can also put the Tim tams with hot milk, hot chocolate, tea ( not a herbal or cold tea ) and obviously coffee! Most hot drinks you can think of
Loved this thank you
I've never watched Friends but multiple episodes in a row have actually been on free to air TV every afternoon lately
You're gonna need a much bigger list because it's only a matter of time before you get sent musk sticks and trust me, then you'll need it lol
MUSK STICKS lol
S+ tier
Oh yes!! 😆
Needs an E. I love them, but non-Aussies don't get them.
They were my fav
Congrats on the sponsorship. An idea to react to is the Lyrebird. Sounds like a weird idea - but worth it for your reaction.
Love your reactions! 😃 🤣
Interesting 🤔
That's why I like it better than crunchie
Between Happy Arvo and the Violet Crumble Slam, Ryan creating some aussie bangers.
Someone was pranking you. You don’t dip violet crumbles or the assorted cream biscuits in coffee. If you try them without the coffee, you will like them better.
Each to their own, not a violent crumble, but there are plenty of us who dip the cream biscuits in coffee.
@@RickyisSwan i do the same thing w/ the biscuits... 5 seconds in the coffee & bite
@@TabJH Yes I think lots of us do Tammy.
Well done Ryan. You are halfway to becoming a naturalised Aussie. Spot on with you 'S' picks.
In India Cadbury was caught adding lead to the chocolate to stop it melting
Disagree, I have tried Cadbury in the UK and was not a fan. 😷
Fruchocs are made in Adelaide, South Australia, where I live. They are the absolute best.
Go Adelaide!!!
9:02 when you suck the coffee through the tim tam you are suppose to put in your mouth straight away so it melts in your mouth instantly you can do it with other chocolate biscuits as well .
*Pronunciation Check*
Freddo: Freh-doh
Arnott's: Arr-nots
Caramello: Cahr-ah-mellow (and we say caramel ca-ra-mell)
[Chicken] Crimpy: Crihm-pee
And, most importantly - Aussie: *Oh-zee*
You should try making some cheese and vegemite scrolls. Roll out some basic scone dough, lightly spread some vegemite over it all, sprinkle lots of grated cheese on it then roll it up like a pinwheel and cut into round slices. Place individual pinwheels on a baking tray and bake until cooked.
I agree with FreakyCat.
Google the recipe and give it a go. They are popular at many bakeries in Australia.
You should try a cheese and Vegemite sandwich. Fresh bread, butter, cheese square, Vegemite to taste. Really quite good.
Violet Crumbles are awesome all smashed up then sprinkled over icecream.
Vegemite = PUNCHY!! 🤣🤣🤣
I think you got that list pretty spot on 👍
Chicken twisties and pizza shapes are bomb and you can’t beat a piece of toast with Vegemite with plenty of butter and not to much Vegemite!
I love both!
Idk about y'all but when I was little we'd eat chicken crimpys with french onion dip at parties and whatnot- by god they were amazing
TimTam Slam - Bite both ends off the TimTam then suck coffee through the filling (filling melts from the heat) when the filling is extracted the 2 biscuits inside SLAM together.
Happy arvo Ryan!
Merry Christmas! 🎄
I think you should look up how to do a Tim Tam Slam😂
Peanut butter spread into the groove of a celery stick, a sausage roll on a bread roll, vegemite and butter between 2 sao biscuits, prawn sandwich, banana sandwich with sugar. Vanilla slice.
Good job with your first sponsor!🎉
The Vegemite toast looked just right to me.
They sold them in open branded paper bags.
when i was 6 my mum would net let me have a wagonwheel before tea time so i packed my bag and ran away from home my parents had to drive round the streets looking for me. . PS in my early 60s now lol.
Yes and they were huge compared to the ones they sell now. There is hardly any jam and marshmallow in them anymore

Timtams can also be eaten frozen. Give it a try ;)
Great reaction Ryan! You are definitely an honorary Aussie now, the Vegemite toast looked almost perfect, personally I prefer just a little bit more but then again I have been eating Vegemite my whole life!
With your new VPN you can watch how some of these great Aussie snacks are made on the ch9 show Snackmasters. ;)
Also there are chicken salt flavoured Pringles and fried chicken flavoured Shapes that I hope you get to try - can be an acquired taste but I think they are better than the chicken crimpy and honey soy crackers you tried.
Arnotts is a very well known Australian brand so I think you should try some of their more iconic biscuits and I think you will like them better 🍽
Great content btw!!!!!

Wagon Wheels were awesome when I was a child,,,they were twice the size and sold at the school Tuckshop...
