  • “The menu started with color and form,” says chef Jordan Kahn of Los Angeles restaurant Vespertine, described on its website as a “gastronomical experience seeking to disrupt the course of the modern restaurant.” In a new video from The Atlantic, Kahn details his culinary inspiration-which started with the building itself. “I stood in front of the [building] for a solid 25 minutes,” he says. “That was the first time I’d ever been emotionally and physically moved by a piece of architecture.”

Fascinating. Beautiful. And that's the architecture.
But I wonder how much of his hair falls into the food.

Steven Slomkowski More like simplistic, shitty, and typical modern architecture.

No doubt the building is a great piece of Architecture .. But they way he talks about himself is extremely narcissistic..What an Ego!... he is not creating anything new . Ferran Adria of El Bulli in Spain was doing this type of cooking 20 years ago when this guy was in pampers

Eduardo Almeyda The architects who designed the building are just as narcissistic. They somehow became delusional to the point where they thought using a bent design with very few materials/ designs is outstanding. Furthermore, people now have to see that eyesore.

Gotta say, the atmosphere looks freaking awesome. But it's gonna be any icy day in hell when I pay $400 to eat twigs, flowers, and less than an ounce of meat. Great concept, beautiful, eye catching, definitely not for me. Bacon cheeseburger for me, please.
