What can I say, I know absolutely nothing about the things you were talking about Jake, but out of respect for you I watched the complete video, maybe even learnt a thing or two, so for a 76 year old woman it's true your never to old to learn, what I do know is everything you said was informative and very well presented and I do love your extreme driving skills, so congratulations Jake👏👏👏, a big hi to Lil and look forward to next week's video, have fun, stay safe.😌❤️🙏💃🕺

I’d get your setup professionally weighed. I was the same as you and confident in my weights, and I was 99% correct. What I learnt was our towball weight was too light and had to move weight from the back to the front. Now our van tows nicer with the correct weight distribution. I reckon it’s worth the small expense. Especially for insurance reasons.

Hi Jake, awesome video With your trundle draw i had the same problem. All i did was cut the draw lid where it touched the canopy floor on the way up when you have the caravan on and put a piano hinge so you can still lift the lid up It at least lets you in to some of the draw ie mine was a third.

Nice review mate. I have a 2021 Wildtrak X with exactly the same tyres and love them. We are towing a 3t van and have had no dramas with the tyres thus far. Keep up the great work guys. It's great to see some fellow Tassies having a crack. Cheers.

Awesome video our wild child 😂
Maybe a small mod to have a two stage door for the under canopy drawer or because you cant reach the back of it you can fit a sliding door ?
    Love your work
    Cheers

Wow. Thanks Jake. I just put a set of Maxxis razors on the Cruiser yesterday. If they wear out quickly then I’ll blame you for not putting the video out on Thursday. (Probably not 😂😂). You’ve managed to keep that thing in good nick, proving that you don’t have to kill a vehicle to get to the cool spots. 😊

Great rundown Jake, very informative as usual. Don't worry I trust you. 😁 With the engine monitoring if you ever decide to upgrade have a look at the Scanguage 3, as well as monitoring you can use it to clear fault codes too.😉 Say hi to Lil!🥰 Also loved the special guest appearance of the red Fergie. 🤩

Great walk through! I'm researching tyres at the moment and came up with a short list of 3 tyres. One of them is Maxis Razors, after what you have said about them I think I'm now down to a choice between the 2 others. Thanks!

  • @Dvladvocate

100% agree, load it up for a normal trip, get it weighed... you will know what each corner is taking individually and will tell you alot about the balance of your vehicle.. important if you hit the brakes hard and want it staying straight fully loaded. Electronic systems aren't miracle workers.
Vehicle Warranties aren't worth a thing when you have a lifted and modded 4wd. Ford won't look at you twice for a gearbox or engine claim. Anything that changes suspension geometry or driveline loads will basically void the vehicle warranty. It's in the fine print, so unless it's completely standard, you are on your own already with the mods you have.

  • @evil17
    @evil17 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Good job Jake. The back drawer is easily fixed with a piano hinge placed under where the drawer slides out to with the van on to allow access.
Agree about the Tune, you probably don’t need it if it is working okay & it does generally just bring out the next weakness in ur driveline.
Regarding EGR delete, you will probably have a new rig long before that ever becomes an issue, I have 340,000kms on my Hilux & still going fine without deleting, after some considerable research on EGR deleting it is hard to justify if its is worth the expense to do prematurely when you may need a clean out eventually anyhow.
Glad to see some positive feedback that the Kings winch is still going, I suspect it could just be a faulty relay with the wind out issue,
I’m not a Ford guy, but you have decked out ur rig well & it looks & performs great from all ur vids I have seen. Nice job with rational & logical thinking mate, do like ur setup, keep it up.

hey legend! that's a great tip! yes I am starting. to think about that kind of stuff, should I keep spending money on my car if I probably won't have it forever? its always a hard decision wether to be preventive or just deal with it when it breaks, I appreciate the view, thank you so much!

Blocking off the EGR IS NOT A GOOD IDEA as the whole purpose of the egr is to cool down the combustion temperatures in the engine

Wow! What an awesome bullbar! Bends at the drop of a hat. Why have High Lift jacking points that aren't up to it?
I'll stick with my ARB steel bar.
Had the ECU on my 3.2L BT50 remapped 10 years ago. Producing over 174kw. Never had a single engine problem. I've towed a camper trailer into remote parts of the NT and never worried about it.

What a load of uneducated rubbish! I had my 3.2L BT50 ECU remapped in 2014. I've never had any problems since!
Perhaps the plug in units may cause problems. But there are plenty of very professional outfits remapping diesels.

Hi mate, have you heard of recurve? I would say they wouldn't go for big power as it's like a factory tune in regards to being a tune to be safe for every car not individual but can put the car back to standard any time and tune it any time. I had a roo systems tune in my 2014 3.2 ranger for 7 years and 140k km and didn't have any issues, colder egts and better fuel in all situations. Hope this helps
