    There is one thing that should be said in these spring videos as I was outside with hands into painting, staining etc is to make sure ppl wash hands before tank feeding etc.... might be something for beginners we all get busy fixing, painting.

    I still consider failure a learning experience. It teaches us what not to do next time. What better way to fail than to share it with a friend while laughing about the folly.
    The plants are beautiful, as is the bowl and the tanks in use.
    Thanks for sharing Dani & Bob. It is a fun video. Success is on the horizon.

    • @danidoeslife2290

      Right! I retain the most knowledge through the lessons learned vs. Books and blogs. I wouldn't be in this hobby in the way I am now if it hadn't of been for my pond disaster a couple years back. Needing to solve the problem led me to learn. And I continue to learn through the issues till this day.
      Thanks for the encouragement Chevy! Glad you are enjoying the progress 🤗

    Not everything was a failure.... Good job drilling & installing the metal air valves with a power drill. That looks super easy to strip out the pipe drilled hole, if not careful with the drill torque. Nice video.

    I can relate, alot of my outdoor tubs and indoors have been neglected lately. She said at the end of the video how its easy to fall out of love with a hobby and thats what Im struggling through. But I've gotten into dart frogs, emerald tree skinks and anoles. Keeping up with aboreal terrestial creatures and aquatic creatures can be a task for 2 hobbies. Im still debating to stay in the aquatic hobby. Anyways, thx for the vid. Its always nice to see the indoor and outdoor setups u guys got.

    I have no clue what specific wall you are drilling or what type of holesaw you are using but a tip is to drill the center hole all the way through and then go to the backside and use the holesaw from the back. Also you can try to chip out the plug and then you should be able to drill deeper. Again I'm sure it's more complicated but maybe that could help without finding a deeper holesaw

    Where did you get the water line (Drip tube) from? Will you have a controller for it ?

    • @danidoeslife2290
      @danidoeslife2290 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Drip line I ordered off of Amazon, Drip irrigation tubing, RO tubing, or refrigerator tubing all work well.
      Eventually I will have it with a timer controller, but for now it will be manually triggered by the manifold we showed. I will turn the water on, then flip the valve on the manifold for the zones I want to fill. For now that will be worlds better than the current set up!

    How do you keep the 300 gallon drain plug from leaking? Mine always leaks! Help, please and thank you.

    • @danidoeslife2290
      @danidoeslife2290 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fortunately that one has never leaked! But I don't just hand tighten, I use a wrench to really get it in there. And if you find it still leaks, plumbers tape helps, or if it's a design that has a gasket, replacing or repositioning the gasket can help. Best of luck!

    Is the PVC hanging outside the tank for water changes?

    • @pa.fishpreacher6166
      @pa.fishpreacher6166 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if so how do you start the syphon?

    • @danidoeslife2290
      @danidoeslife2290 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they are! If you close the valve before it reaches the end of the drain time, it will auto drain when you turn on the valve the next time. If you miss it and it drains all the way, you lose your siphon and have to start it the good ol fashion way
