Full playlist of all of my charity speedrun marathon runs at • puwexil's Charity Mara...
My Illusion of Gaia speedrun from Games Done Quick's 2016 summer charity marathon (which raised over $1,200,000 for Doctors Without Borders)! The run category was 100% (all Red Jewels + defeating Solid Arm), and getting to run IoG for a GDQ marathon again was a very pleasant surprise - my run wasn't originally on the marathon schedule, but got added on short notice due to the marathon running ahead of schedule.
Pretty happy overall with how this run went - several boss fights were rough for execution and/or luck, and I did a lot of safe strats for difficult rooms; but I'm quite proud of getting a run with no (unintentional) deaths and beating my SGDQ 2012 run by 6 minutes. Really, really happy with my Mu Vampires fight, which was probably my best played yet as far as damage taken (only 1 hit)! Shoutouts to my awesome couch crew Vulajin (middle) and Takaze (right), and bobtheninjagoldfish (offscreen) on the host mic.

Hey hey puwexil i really dig your runs man! thanks for playing some of my favorites, when you running FF6 this year I donated for the very first time in the GDQs for good taste like twice lol I didn't want you to suffer from the demon chocobo. Keep up the awesome runs man!

In this game, 100% means collecting all the red jewels, not killing the enemies.
2 years later I wanted to replay and I saw your comment I agree this isn't 100%
@@JayDeeIsMyName The User didn't said he can play better. Normally a 100% speedrun in other games is defined as reaching highest level, collect all items etc not just a part of the game like collecting the red jewels
