- The Ventura County Fair… “A County Fair with Ocean Air” is back for the first time since 2019! Enjoy the fair from August 3 to August 14, 2022 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds for carnival rides, food booths, concerts, exhibits, agricultural shows and more!
Fair Admission:
Children up to 5 will be admitted to the Fair for free.
6-12: $10.00 per day.
13-64 $15.00 per day.
65-99 $10.00 per day.
Fairgoers ages 100 and over shall be admitted to the Fair for free, with proper identification.
The Ventura County Fair will open at noon five days (the first day of Fair and both weekends) and 1 p.m. the other seven days. Exhibit buildings will close at 10:00 p.m. nightly; the Commercial Building and Commercial Annex will close at 10:00 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, 11:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Admissions will be sold from opening until 10:00 pm nightly.
ALL BUILDINGS CLOSE AT 10 PM
(Commercial Building and Annex close at 11p.m. on Friday and Saturday)
Concession Stand Closing Time: Outside stands remain open until 11 p.m.
Midway Closing Time: Main Midway closes no later than midnight and not before 11 p.m.
Grandstand entertainment is FREE with fair admission. Good vibrations and great live music will be the standard for the 2022 Grandstand Entertainment series, sponsored by Chumash Casino and Resort.
The VC Fair Grandstand Arena, presented by Firestone 805, will present 8 free concerts covering a range of music from Country to Pop, Rock R&B and Funk.
5 PRCA Rodeos will round up the entertainment.

Cool video. I have been going to the Ventura County Fair since I was 4. Walking into the fair I immediately get assaulted by one of my favorite smells in the world that bbq mixed with ocean air funnel cake and diesel fuel. I went last night I took some cool photos too.
It's my favorite fair. There's just something about it being by the ocean that makes it so cool!
Although my wife and I live outside the Ventura County we have been going since the early 80's, I will be entering the Culinary Art exhibit for the first time in 2023 with my Habenero Jelly and since we live in LA County it will have to be there. I was hoping to see a photo of the Jam and Jelly entries and you had a great shot in your video, awesome, so thank you for that. Have a great year.

I was there on the opening day from 3:00 to 9:00! I wonder if I'll see myself and the people I went with in the video! I also went to the Martina Mcbride concert!
I left the fair to walk over to the pier around 230, then came back around 330 to wrap up the video outside. How was the concert?

I visited the LA County Fair six times, the OC Fair once, and the fair currently running at Santa Anita a few days ago and have eaten so much junk food (there are videos on all of that on the channel), that I just couldn't bring myself to eat any more. Haha. The turkey sandwich was a nice change of pace. 😂 We had deep fried bacon wrapped pickles, Kool Aid Chicken Sandwiches, Hot Cheeto Potstickers, etc. I just couldn't. Haha!

What...I can't believe you chose a healthy food over fair food! How dare you! LOL! The flood of people going into the fair as you were leaving, dang! Going on that Ferris Wheel would have been nice just to see the ocean view! 😀
Opening Day is always crazy busy. I really wanted to stay for the concert, but it was just too crowded.
Your outta your mind, beach house tacos is so much better than Spencer McKenzies.
I will have to give it another try. It was good last time, but I'm addicted to SM's hardshell tacos. Stopped at the Camarillo location on the way back to Simi from the fair. Their fried zucchini is so good!!!

Oddly, my favorite is Riverside because of their abnormal community produced nightly pageant. Other than that I like San Diego, Orange County, Ventura and Los Angeles in that order.

This was my first year ever visiting the LA County Fair and was surprised how nice it was. It's huge and has so much to offer. Definitely looking forward to going back next year!
