    Just for those who are curious, I have been successfully growing rockapulcos in part sun conditions for years (5 hours of NW sun) in zone 8b for years! As long as I keep them well watered and fed, they do great. People ask me about them all the time because they are so gorgeous

    I saw the orange rockapulco double at my local Lowe’s and fell in love. I think I have 4 now. 😁

    I grew the double impatiens in a coral color and some that were white but had a hint of pinkish in the middle. I grew them in zone 6a last summer 2022. I fertilized with a weak fish emulsion that I purposely mixed up weak. And I only fertilized 2 times, once early then once mid summer. I had several large containers and they were stunning. I mixed in wire vines . SW Michigan

    Lovely video, thank you both.
    May I ask how you would treat it for pests like aphids or spiders if the need should arise? Also, please advise if there is anything I could put on them as a preventative?

    Hi, The last two years that I have tried to grow these something has basically taken off all the leaves and made them look like stalks with just a few leaves at the top. Do you know what that is? I just threw them away. So if they have all kinds of insects and mildew, what should be the schedule for spraying and what product to use please? I got the pink double this year and really would like to have success since it's in a pre-planted container with Diamond Frost and polka dot plant. Thank you.

    I started mine from seeds I purchased from Home Depot in mid May and out of 15 seeds I only have one germinated. October 5 and the plant has grown at least 9 inches tall...today I noticed 2 buds which I hope will bloom. I am so excited. I fertilize once week with 24-8-16 (nitrogen, phosphate, potash) mix brand called expert gardener from Walmart. I mix in water and spray the soil. Is this fertilizer good?

    I bought two this year and I looooove them. Totally obsessed. Planning to plant an understory with the lavender and white ones beneath my hydrangeas next year. But they were quite expensive where I am. Is there a way to propogate or grow from seeds?

    Buds, but barely any blooms. Ideas?

    • @SpokenGarden
      @SpokenGarden  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi there! Good question. This could be your plants just haven't had enough time to flower yet and they are getting there. Also, if the plants have had too much water and are kept under too wet conditions, this can delay flowering. And, if you pruned or pinched your plants in the recent past, then that can also delay blooming. There could also be a sun light/shad component happening here, depending on which impatiens you are growing. Action Steps: Let the top 1-2 inches of soil dry out a bit before watering again. Also, if your impatien plant is in a container, try moving it to either a little more sunny or shady location to see if that helps. Hope this helps and thank you for your question.

    Where are the seed pods ?

    • @SpokenGarden
      @SpokenGarden  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! Good question. Most plants, including Impatiens, will produce the seed pods after the flower has withered at the exact location where the flower petals were or just below those flower petals on that same stem. You should see seed pods developing on Impatiens anytime from mid to late summer or even into the fall, depending on when they dropped them petals. If you want to collect seeds from your Impatiens, make sure to not deadhead them and let the withered flowers continue to develop on that stem. Hope that helps and thank you for watching!

      Hi Sayhellonan! 👋👋 Great question. You find single-flower impatiens seed from ParkSeed.com, EdenBrothers.com, and Burpee.com. The Double Impatiens that we show here are from ProvenWinners.com and they only sell, looks like, grown plants in 4-inch containers. Here is the link if you want to take a look: www.provenwinners.com/plants/search?keywords=double%20impatiens&hardiness_zone=All&duration=All&flower-color=All&light_requirement=All&available_online=All
