Update 3: Okay, I'm back from my hiatus since I'm very active at the YTP community these days, and a lot of you guys are still complaining about the time cards and any unnecessary chunks I putted in. Just give me a break and let me fix my mistakes, as I'm trying to clean my phone up again before I fix them.

Update: It's confirmed that Fionna And Cake was renewed for Season 2, so expect another trilogy of Swearing Montage to this series.

The weirdest thing about this is how natural swearing sounds like in Adventure Time
In other words, it's close enough to Regular Show, which is they swear "crap" a lot and they made a lot of euphemisms but it's censored on the UK. You can watch some UK edits here on YT about it. No comparison, they are just the same.

Swearing excessively in a dialogue is very lazy. It's also unnecessary too, so keep it mildly.

It's funny how this confirms the writers and storyboarders always wrote swear words in the scenes but they had to replace them on the actual episode, that's why Finn was always saying stuff like "Jake, what the hey-hey" or the Ice King's "someone got hit in the boingloings" for example lmao
My favorite will always be Finn's "WHO GIVES A DONK? JUST RUN!" from the Stakes series
i remember there being a sticky note from an actual storyboard that has finn saying "jake what the fuck"
Don't forget about Jake referred BMO as "little bastard" from the one storyboard line. (idk, someone's commented me about it from my other AT video)

Totally, you will notice the fact that they used euphemisms throughout the years to hide it's actual meaning. But now, they use the actual languages like "ass", "damn", "pissed", "goddammit" & "oh my god".
But still, no clustered F-Bombs has been dropped yet. Even I unnecessarily included "suck" since it was censored in the UK airing of Regular Show.
Honestly, I’m desensitized to all swear words. Most of them really just being literal words. Like Shit and crap, both meaning poop. Damn is a simple curse, like “Damn you!”. Etc, you get what I mean.
@@vinokai To be honest, they're literally used simple swear words after reading their transcripts for 1 week. Seriously, it's unnecessary to put all those words in their dialogues, so they include some mild common swears. I'm watching satirical animated shows like South Park, but I'm not sensitive to those potty-mouthed kids.

I remember in Jake the brick Storyboard (I think) Jake referred to BMO as "That little bastard"

I appreciate the balance this show took to its swear words, it’s a major pet peeve of mine when adult cartoons have characters swearing like sailors every other sentence purely because they’re allowed to…Fiona and Cake only put them where they sounded natural and not only was it not distracting but it made the humor land better when they were used

The amount of Mild Language in this show makes Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) look like a Disney movie that's afraid to even slip in some Mild Language

The way I don’t even notice they’re swearing really shows how well the show grew up with us. If I saw this when I was Adventure Time watching age, I would have freaked out like “HOLY MOLY THEY ARE CUSSING!?1?”
I am fascinated by a lot of what is considered swearing in this video. Personally, I would only count the 'jesus', 'hell', 'damn', 'goddamn', 'balls', 'nuts', 'ass', and 'pissed', but i know it depends on your upbringing as well. Thanks for the comp.

Strictly speaking Fuck isn't a curse either; it's a verb that aptly describes something we don't have another strong verb for.
Fuck is only a curse when it's used informally in the place of "damn".

Correction:
Swearing = God, Jesus, Oh Mother Mary, On Christ's Blood
Cursing = To Hell, God Damn
Insult = Son of a Bitch, Bastard, Motherfucker
and Profanity = Shit, Fuck, Ass, Cock
Profanity isn't a curse; it's just describing basic body functions and animal behavior, (the Profane) bluntly without polite language. It wasn't looked down upon for being "bad" it was looked down upon for being "lower class peasant language", LITERALLY the English language of the peasants VS the French "derriere, fornication, phallus" of the upper class.
Then there's insults; not bad words because they're bad, but because they're a direct insult against an opponent; people calling each other names and unironically dueling each other over it. Fighting words.
Euphemism is just any term used as a bypass for the other ones to give the idea without fully committing. Dang for Damn, Crap for Shit. Etc.
Then there's Cursing; wishing one "go to Hell and be damned", which is a serious thing to wish upon someone who actually believes in Heaven and Hell.
And finally; the BIGGEST gaffe, Swearing. "I swear to God," "On the blood of Jesus did you not just say that to me", "I swear on my mother's soul"; historically that was the most scandalous because your staking your own very soul's damnation on how pissed you are with someone. Very untoward kind of talk.
Nowadays, everything's flipped. We say "fuck" when we mean "damn" and say "Oh my God" when we mean "no shit".
The reason I'm laying all this out is to unironically argue that "Fuck" is way more Christian a thing to say than "Oh my God", on a historical and liturgical basis. Fuck is one of the best words in the English language.

Imma be honest; Hazbin Hotel is WAY BETTER than Fiona and Cake.
F+C is 5 episodes of wandering through annoying bullshit and complaining about basic white people problems; 3 episodes of Fiona having an actual character arc of dealing with adversity and the consequences of her mistakes, and then an annoying bullshit finale.
HH starts off kinda cringe edgelord but pretty quickly drops consistent characters with actual motivations, issues, and personalities on you, and the ending ends up super engaging and well-earned.
F+C is cal-arts cringe to me, while HH is surprisingly based.

I remember when this show released and when I was going to watch it I got JUMPSCARED by the age rating. Not bc it was an adult show, but bc it was the same as the original Adventure Time CENSORED version (in Brazil and Mexico it used to be rated as +12, changed it to +10 some years ago), so I thought they were going to censor everything where I live and got really sad.
It just turned out this rating is mostly due these swearings, but I live in Brazil, we have so many heavier swearings that translating these they were just normal words so Max didn’t even cared and just placed F&C as a kids show. Although CNBR refused to show on TV bc it’s “too mature”. We will never know what happens in the mind of whoever decides the parental rating here
