@@Skeeyao Have you checked out this solo by Buddy's former guitarist, Tommy Allsup? He was older by this point but it sounded great to me. My first tip would be, if you're playing with a strap and standing, adjust your strap height to the point where your arm and wrist are in the same position they would be while you're sitting and playing. It gets you a lot more comfortable with playing barre chords. My second tip is to make sure that your thumb stays almost dead center on the back of the neck when you're playing a barre chord. This will do two things: 1. Get the most amount of pressure possible on the finger barring which will get you a cleaner sounding chord and 2. Take a great deal of pressure off of your wrist and move it toward your thumb. My third tip, practice! I'll be honest with you, learning barre chords is a pain in the ass :) The best way to get more comfortable with using them is simply practicing them. This is a difficult song to play as well. I was trying to achieve as close a sound to the original record as possible which meant all down strokes. By the end, both my strumming hand and my thumb on my fretting hand were super sore and I've been playing for a little over 11 years. Best of luck and thank you for the comment!

How do you bar chords without getting an ache in your elbow?
