Got police called on a group of friends when we were at a playground at night. Genuinely just wanted to swing on the swings and police were a bit perplexed we weren’t teenagers causing trouble. They sent us off anyways tho :(

So….as someone who grew up having to walk past a garden with a VERY high (but gappy) fence that held an ex police dog AS A SCHOOL CHILD…this now makes sense. Like legit, me & about 30 other kids would cross the road instead of walking past that bloody fence on the way to the bus stop. That dog was insane. It was meant to be in a pen in the garden but at some point I guess the owner just went…eh, feck it.
Once nearly got nicked walking around Birmingham at 4am with two shopping trolleys piled with my mate's cooking stuff, wardrobe, bedsheets etc inside 🤣 Local pub had been burgled and we were out doing a last minute house move (technically he was due out by 12am but it wasn't like the landlord was there to check). I was stood outside Tesco when a car screeched up next to me, while the other cop sprinted and grabbed my mate from the doorway. Absolute jokes.
I used to live around 2 houses down from a little suburban park in a quiet dead end street that had a gym and a pokestop, and during the winter we'd drive over and sit in my car at the pokestop with coffee and smokes because its real cold and there's about 4 feet of snow covering the benches. but yeah one of those times at about 11am a cruiser came and parked behind us because some neighbourhood dogwalker called the cops, asked if we were drinking or smoking weed and basically stuck around questioning us until another cop showed up about 10 minutes later, and really zoned into the weed thing. weed is legal here but obviously operating a car when stoned to the bone isn't. I tried to argue that if I was so inclined to smoke weed in this car I'd do it in my own parking lot behind my house, not at the park frequented by neighbourhood kids. checked the address on my license and then they left.
If they mean ducklett instead i fully understand the struggle tbh, took me, my dad, and brother many evenings/nights driving along the riverside even with our go-tchas:/
