Christiane Haid: "Metamorphoses of the Foundation Stone"

Christiane Haid gave this talk at a meeting of the Section for the Literary Arts & Humanities of the School for Spiritual Science in North America. The meeting occurred on December 17 on Zoom.
Christiane Haid, Ph.D. is the head of the Section for Beautiful Sciences (Literary Arts & Humanities) and the Section for the Visual Arts at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland.
In this lecture she gives an overview of the dramatic events in 1913 and 1923. These include in 1913 the laying of the physical foundation stone for the building of the first Goetheanum, which was destroyed by arson on New Year's Eve 1922/1923; and the subsequent transformation of the "building impulse" into the Foundation Stone Meditation given by Rudolf Steiner at the Christmas Conference in 1923.
