LOOKS GOOD I'M USING MINE AS A REGULAR LIGHT WITH MY FOGS TURN OFF WHEN TRAFFIC APPROACHES GOING WITH A 42" BUT PRETTY NEAT HOW IT CAN GO BRIGHT TO DIM FROM A APP NICE TOUCH 😎
Just bought a 2008 silverado and the last few days I found your videos and I started moding mines I got the tow mirrors and the rear bed light thanks this a good idea too
Light bar install looks sick man. I was thinking about doing a similar install in my 2009 Silverado. Might have to do something similar to yours after seeing how nice your setup is. The app is super cool and the install is super clean. Props man, keep it up!
I'm not sure how hot the climate gets in Hawaii, but wouldn't this cut out some airflow going to the radiator? Have you noticed any difference in your running temps? Thanks in advance.
You should go on amazon they make a thing for off-road light that mounts to a fender or wherever but it has a wireless key fob style for off-road lights. That’s what I have in my Silverado. Less wires be ran around.
I've stumbled upon your truck videos a lot lately, very cool content! This 1 year old video did it for me - subscribed! Awesome channel man 😎🍻 Aloha from California!
Added a light bar in 13 was able to bend some metal stock to use the hole is the bumper mounts with out cutting anything up and used a relay switch to use it with high beams
Pretty awesom man I have a truck the very same model your channel is were I got the idea fo my headlights and taillights keep uploading info thanks alot bro helps alot !!!!!!
I'm doing this to my 2010 2500hd crew cab. It will be a nice upgrade. Thanks I been looking for something that it does looks beefy on the roof or bumpers. This solved my problem. Tha is alot
will you please take that sticker off the side and put it on the rear window or something it stands out but your truck is super clean like the innovative mounting lol
This is actually pretty cool looks good especially for it being something you don’t do very often it went so much better then if it was me dojng it that’s for sure haha love the vids dude thank you for the cool content
Wow that’s pretty cool being able to change the color and even the brightness right from you phone! And that you can control multiple lights from the same app. I’m definitely going to look into this, I currently have 3 different switches for the 3 different LEDs on my truck. So something like this would be very useful for me to be able to control them all from the same place. Especially because I will be adding more, that’s just too many switches for me lol
Well done, that's the first bar I've seen behind the Grill and it looks awesome. I'll be attempting the same on my 17 Mustang very soon with a new grill in Australia. 20in bar.
I have a 2020 Trailboss. I was thinking of getting the Lasfit bar light you put on your 2020 TB but I like this light bar better. Do you think this would work in our 2020 TB’s?
Looks cool but, Why does my truck run so hot now? Lol love that its brightness is adjustable, if you dimmed it down you could leave it on when you drive as long as its pointed down, I want one but a 52" above my windshield. You should get the matching auxbeam headlights so they all work together.
Install some ditch lights. They attach onto the hood hinges. Go on eBay and for 40.00 get lights, mounts and wiring. The switch I cut the wire and fed through the firewall where my emergency brake wire goes through then I reattached the switch so no drilling. They are cool and reliable.
How about something for those of us who desire not to punch holes in our brand new light bars? Lol Turned out great tho, and always cool stuff in your videos!
Hey man I know this video is pretty old now so you might have forgot but I was wondering what size of hardware did you use? I just got the same light bar and wanna mount it the same way without permanent alterations to my truck
I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 with fuel Mavericks 18” tires nitto ridge grapplers 33’s inches and I want to try to put a halo led light bar 32” curved behind my grill
I have a 2007 chevy silverado 1500, I have the stock grill and I fit a full 52 inch curverd lightbar behind the lower half of my grill, you just have to cut the two brackets behind the grill, and fit in place, then zip tie it works fine for me, the grill will push out a bit towards the bottom, but it works..
I’m watching this six month’s later and you have gone from 11,500 subscribers to almost 40,000 subs. Decent adaption to your original frame work on the truck, looks nice all finished..
Looking into getting the same one for my 07 silverado. Were those U Bolts you used? and did u need do do any cuts to the black steel support the grill attaches to?
I got a 2008 Silverado, Grey and black. I had been thinking about getting the same stickers that you have on top if your door emblems. Now that I know that it looks awesome, I am definitely going to get them! Got any you'd like to sell?
I want do an install like this but i have 2 considerations. First, where is your transmission cooler. Mine sits right behind the lower grille opening and will be right behind the light bar. The bar will block almost all air going thru. Second, I see no way of adjusting the beam higher or lower. How did you handle that.
All info here - Headlights: th-cam.com/video/AhYcN5EIZ8E/w-d-xo.html Taillights: th-cam.com/video/ESmNcO2wlYQ/w-d-xo.html I've really enjoyed them both. Only issue I have so far is swapping the halogen to an LED in the front Low beam headlight.
Turned out well, I'm looking to do mine I have the 2018 z71 Silverado but with your grill I think it would look sweet with 2 light bars top and bottom just me though but it still turned out well great video boss
I saw that you can turn the light on and/off using the app, but do you need to have the switch in ON position before you can use the app to turn the light bar on/off??
Got myself a 2013 Chevy and I’ve been wanting to put a bar in my grille, and couldn’t really figure out how. Definitely going to copy this mounting method.
@LONESTAR HAWAIIAN hello just curious what size lift you have and tire sizes? Also do you have a recon permit? cause i also live in Hawaii and wanted to lift my truck but not sure if i need a reconstructed permit.
@@LonestarHawaiian sorry one more question did you have to add mudflaps? or Fender flares at all to pass? just curious if the tires have to be covered by fenders or if they can protrude out just a little bit? Thanks again!
No prob. According to Hawaii safety check, over 50% of your rear tires have to be covered by the fender, if not you need mudflaps, so unfortunately yes (that should answer #1) Also any tread from your tire cannot extend past your fender. Either bolt on fender flares or get some plastic liner. It really is a pain...
So I recently bought the straight version of the 32" bar and I can't get any Bluetooth connection and the colors RGB are very faint that they don't even change the whole light

That bar light is something I’m looking to ad to my truck, now seeing yours I’m stoak .
I didn’t know it came with those features 👍.
This is a fantastic, detailed video from start to finish. Thank you
I just bought a 2012 Chevy and I’m definitely about to do this! Thanx!
Hey 👋 I got a 2012 aswell lol

17:10 release the reveal as a separate movie 🍿 🎞. Love the editing and music
Dude you are good with your hands. Luckily I live in Houston Tx I can get anybody to fix my truck. If I live in Hawaii I would be screwed.
Now you need some rock lights like mines
Added a light bar in 13 was able to bend some metal stock to use the hole is the bumper mounts with out cutting anything up and used a relay switch to use it with high beams

Winter in Hawaii versus winter in CONNECTICUT.... I’ll take winter in Hawaii...lol Great video, man
LOL
Love the looks of the front. I just can’t install because the weather here in Phoenix during the summer. I can’t block the airflow to my radiator.

Nice solution for the mounting and a really clean install.
‘Clean install’ uses a hacksaw to cut off something he doesn’t even know what it does
I love the fact that you can use an app and that the brightness can be controlled. Also love the hidden look
just bought the same one today, cant wait for it to arrive
2.0 Hawaiian was hella active since back in the day 😂 🤙🏽
17:10 💡 love it 🍿
great video - what make are your headlights?
will you please take that sticker off the side and put it on the rear window or something it stands out but your truck is super clean like the innovative mounting lol
Love the look! I think I may have to go this route. Currently running a 52" curved on the roof. But I kinda want the "clean" look. Good job on this
Yea I like how you mounted it. Mine is in the slot in the bumper.
Love the dimming feature. Mine is stuck on dying star.
What’s the info I can’t find one that fits flush in my bumper
I absolutely need to know what headlights those are please link buddy!?
Nice bro... love it, that is so cool, may get one for my silverato...
Cool light bar I want one

@@burntheobedient4473 still needs heat sink especially down in Texas.

cool idea for install but didn't see much difference in projected light distance when on the road demonstration
Hey my friend, I have a question where can I get that light bar?
Very nice video. Been watching a lot of your videos lately. #LoveFromTheTroops.
Did you have to do amy souldering or did the wires reach the battery and fuse box?
what headlights and tail lights are you running? those are nice
I’ve been looking for a curved one. Gonna check this one out. TY
Why did you wire to the battery when there is a fused stud in engine bay panel?
I need link to your tail lights and headlights
Getting this, thank you

But great work. Exactly how I'd do it!
What did it do to the running temp of the engine since a big part of the grill was blocked?
No change in running temp for me
Really like your headlamps and tail lights. What brand/nake are they? I have an 2013 sierra and would love something like that for my truck.

Good lord been looking for a different way to mount a light behind my grill
I wouldn’t bro, well if you want to actually use the light that is. Looks cool behind there but that’s about it
Is your truck a 2wd?
Would their 42in curved fit also?
👍🏼 Great video!
But, the Red & Blue colors are Legal....As long as they're NOT flashing!
❤️
How did you black out your emblems ?
Amazing.
I saw that you can turn the light on and/off using the app, but do you need to have the switch in ON position before you can use the app to turn the light bar on/off??
Correct. Switch as to be on before you can operate from the application.
Hawaiian Macgyver
very good video
Anyone know if it messes with the air flow for the truck?

Can you strobe the white light?
