Wow .. I did a final year project at Perkins in 1999 and lived in Stafford for 3months ... remember some of the old building, but mostly the nice people at Perkins. I remeber there where like 4 teenagers that where trying to get me in to a fight with them late one night .. but since English's wasnt my native language I didnt understand what they where calling me when I passed by ... Good for me at that time :-) I just ignored them

I live in highfields and its a great little town stafford full of history but that's it shops are going people are going

You're right. The depradations of time. Thru road full of traffic jams then, it's better now for pedestrians, but the shoppers are staying away. as far as I can see. Good luck to them all!
