I assume you can cut off the end after the crimp bead is put on. You didn't mention this.

If i have beady string 20lb weight, will that work?

Not familiar with anything but fishing line that would list 20lb weights, but if it is made by Beadalon, Acculon, SoftFlex, or Flexrite, it is probably beading wire.

I wanted to make mine with cord. and need to know what size chimp tube to use. although, this was helpful, I don't think I want a wire hanging around the back of my neck like that (without beads). would 3x3mm c.t. work on cord/
