    1. Pride
    2. Neglecting spiritual disciplines (prayer, studying scripture, fasting, meditation, participation in a faith community, embracing simplicity)
    3. Rampant consumerism
    4. Indifference to others
    5. The promotion of skepticism
    6. Lack of forgiveness leads to bitterness and resentment.
    7. Resistance to change

      We are all imperfect including me, but still we must try to be better. I'm trying to not lean on my own understanding of the evil in this world and know only that God has this covered. I work daily almost on forgiving myself for my sins. I know he has forgiven me and still I have trouble with forgiving myself. But, I keep trying. Blessing to you on your journey.

      Hello Sir🙋🏾‍♂️ This an amazing testimony and I am touched by how long you have been his servant.
      As a much younger believer who is struggling with reading Gods word and putting it in practice - what advice would you have to give?
      Thank you in advance sir.

    Gentlemen, this is essential information for Christians. It helps to build my faith and I am so grateful for it. However, I am amazed at the number of commercial interruptions during the video. It is quite distracting, making it difficult to maintain concentration on CS Lewis’s teachings. Is there perhaps a way to provide this beautiful work of Lewis to all of us without quite so many solar panel advertisements and other commercial distractions?

    So many suffer from the love of money which doesn't fill anyone in return with peace nor happiness. It separates us from our Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It only pulls us down into hopelessness which leads many to drugs and Alcoholism and for some financial ruin. I hope all are helped by the knowledge of God's eternal love which is like no other love we can or have experienced here on Earth.

    Thank you. My worry is on resistance to change. Can this be elaborated. People often say, the church is not moving with the times. God is the beginning and the end, He knows all, so how as a Christian must we change without offering God.

    • @bjgoels
      @bjgoels 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Consider Jesus who ministered to sinners without compromising God's truth or becoming a sinner Himself. He accepts the sinner without affirming the sin and, instead, works to transform that sinner. The standards of God, His truth, remain the same regardless of what is happening in the world. So, as believers, we do not change to become like the world, but continue to live according to God's standard (which still stands); however, we need to be able to reach out lovingly but uncompromisingly. The only way we can do that is to be reading our Bibles and praying daily.

      At the end there all the talk of how christian’s needed to change but where is the scripture to back up that opinion?

    • @kathiemendoza3838
      @kathiemendoza3838 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Change is when the Holy Spirit convicts you clearly about things you maybe doing wrong. Sin hurts us, others and the Spirit Spirit will therefore tell you to stop doing sin.

      Handing control of your life to God involves trust, which I've had trouble with in my past also. Trusting God can take time especially when we see so much pain around us. Sometimes in my lifetime I've learned to have a conversation with my Father rather than just praying. I just needed to talk different things over with him and he's never let me down. Jesus has never let me down nor the Holy Spirit. They will not let you down either. The Father loves you. God bless you.

      @@GlaciersharkJesus talks about it, how we have to be reborn again. I believe it's in Mark where he is talking to one of the Pharisees. You can take a shortcut and look it up online. That will lead you to the right scripture reading in the Bible.

      Athletes can apply these spiritual principles and not conform to the worldly construct of competition.
      For example, they can pray for the safety of other competitors; treat other competitors with respect and dignity (love thy neighbour) and choose to run their own race (the narrow path). This is possible in the framework of a competitive environment.
      Above all, in any profession, putting God first will ensure you carry out his will and be an effective witness to non believers. With this approach, hopefully we can share a glimmer of his glory and save lost souls!

    Well I dont know if this helped me. If I forgive its no difference the relationships are broken and unbelivers do not change. They will go to grave without forgiving. Nothing we can do.

    • @christineblaszczyk1602
      @christineblaszczyk1602 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've had this problem also. I've learned that forgiveness unchains me from my past relationships. It also makes a way for unbelievers to find their way to Christ. I have released them and myself from all that was and will never be again. The rest I will leave to God by placing them in his hands and it's each person's call if they turn away or turn towards the light of God. We as believers can't do it for them. God bless
