Thank you for re-interviewing Jake, still trying to get a grasp on titles.
I’d actually disagree with “only do what works”. My top video ever (1.3 million) was something I’d never done before and is not that popular in my niche. the same with some of my other top videos.
Try a mix of tried and true and new formats.
100% agree. I think it's a good mix of both. I had 5 videos in a row that performed extremely well in my niche. They were covering things that were not as popular compared to the competition.
Then I covered guides that were far more popular topics and they didn't perform anywhere near as well. But in the past, I have had popular topics at the time blow up sometimes.
I will say, though, those 5 videos that did well back to back were videos I was more excited about covering and sharing. Which goes to show you sometimes covering things you want to cover within your niche also pays off.
I have no experience, but it stands to reason that the best idea is first to replicate, then to iterate. It sounds like you've gotten to understand through replication enough to the point that you're able to iterate
I didn't actually read the title of this video. I saw the text on the video, and recognised him from a previous video you made. And clicked because I wanted to watch something.
Interesting
Jay, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the exhaustion of negative titles. Negativity, drama, and fear may get you to click, but my videos have little negativity, drama, or fear. I appreciate the recommendation to look for inspiration out of my niche.
Modeling what works is the recepie for sucess on TH-cam! This is a completely different perspective on TH-cam titles than what everyone on TH-cam is talking about. Thanks for the video! 🎉
I just grew my channel 600 subscribers in one day following this dudes advice . Thanks for the content fam
That’s awesome
@@CreatorScienceYT your channel is awesome bro 🙏
What did you do in just a day to achieve that?
Totally agree with this. Wherever you are, I have faith if you just keep going it will all work out. Best of luck to all the other channels out there trying to figure this thing out! We got this
Good food for thought. I really liked the idea about borrowing title frameworks that work in other niches.
Make comment word clouds of the comments' sections of your competitors! That'll show you what people want and are responding to in your niche super quick
I’ve always loved your interviews with Jake. Thanks again for an amazing video. These topics about titles and thumbnails helped me get my first few viral for me videos. Thanks again!
Great questions and great interview. Jake Thomas knowledge is so valuable. Love Creatorhooks
Subscribed because you're the only person on TH-cam who pronounced Niche correctly !
I love Jake. He changed my channel and life.
He’s the man!
Any other videos from him you'd recommend Drew?
Massive value! So many takeaways that everyone who's making videos should see this ASAP! 💎
Jake has really helped me not waste my hard work! Nobody watches if they don't click! Thank you so much Jake❤
Love to hear that!
Some great tips here, will definitely try to focus and put more time and effort into my titles to see if that can generate a few more clicks.
Dont Make Another TH-cam Title Until You Watch This
Where’s the link to this video?
so so much value a great watch!
1/3 into this video and so many chances you could have actually given us the before title and after title or concrete examples of titles and missed to do it 8:46
pure gold 32:00 - 32:25
Great video, will definitely be applying this in my upcoming videos 😎
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks for watching!
Ugh! I hate clickbait titles. I appreciate the need for them. But I refuse to click a clickbait title even if the content looks great. I'm so tired of reading "My best title advice yet..." and then next week it's "My best title advice ever!". Clever clickbait is good. That being said, my titles have been pretty boring. Thanks for the advice. Time to spice it up a little.
Jake is absolutely a master at what he does. So happy to see him here. Stellar content Jay!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great tips🎉I keep mine the same because it’s working then test different topics in the vid to See how well they perform..plan to post those topics soon
Thank you Jay Clouse It's really worth it, Thank you once again
great podcast you guys! Thank you for the insight
Thanks for watching!
love this guy and now he's back
By popular demand!
Great discussion guys!
Loved the "model 10" tip
Thank you Greg!
Who edits your vids Jay? It's perfect. Do you do it?
Makes sense!
Hey Jay, great interview. What are you looking at? Is there any way for you eyes to lock onto the camera? Descript has an AI pupil locker.
NICHE!!! You pronounced it correctly the first time! Amazing! I didn't think there were Americans who knew how to say it correctly. SUBSCRIBED!!
I'm a Brit, and noticed a character in Desperate Housewives once said it correctly, so I deduced most Amsericans DO know how it's pronounced. It just seems to be a lot of internet marketers who pronounce it "Nitch"!
Lol..most of us who went to college say it properly.
Many of us Americans use "neesh" and "nitch" interchangeably. Just as many of use "ee-ther" and "eye-ther" interchangeably.
So what can I do ? My channel is entertainment and education at the same time. Should I work on my thumbnail or title?
excellent advice. so much of it is human psychology when it comes to thumbnails and titles.- if your a content creator or entrepreneur then youll love my channel. showing the reality behind entrepreneurship and helping content creators grow.
Numbers dont lie. TH-cam is not always luck. As soon as you have upto 59 videos in your channel, start to study your stats.
A Donut video? Sheesh! 🤩
What about mythology and story channels

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
First comment! 🏆
Your title is *too long* and so is your long form video, therefore the complete opposite of people's time. You now currently have *_15K_* views, within 3 weeks. I did that in _3 hours,_ with a *brand new* channel.
